Uoči klimatskog samita u engleskom okrugu Cornwallu ovoga vikenda, nevladine organizacije pozvale su u srijedu članice skupine G7 da učine više u borbi protiv klimatskih promjena.

Emisije ugljičnog dioksida moraju se smanjiti brže i spustiti na niže razine nego što se ranije obećavalo i treba povećati novčanu pomoć siromašnim zemljama, zatražile su te organizacije od bogatih industrijski najrazvijenijih država svijeta.

"Ono što je sada na stolu nije dovoljno", rekao je Joern Kalinski iz Oxfam Internationala, uoči samita u selu Carbis Bay na zabačenom jugozapadu Engleske.

Čelnici SAD-a, Njemačke, Velike Britanije, Kanade, Francuske, Italije i Japana te predstavnici EU-a sastaju se od petka do nedjelje u ljetovalištu Cornish.

Osim o pandemiji covida-19, središnja tema bit će borba protiv klimatskih promjena. Sastanak se održava uoči UN-ove klimatske konferencije COP26 u Glasgowu u Škotskoj u studenome.

Članice G7 nisu ispunile ranije obećanje da će godišnje dati oko 100 milijardi dolara pomoći siromašnim zemljama za zaštitu klime, rekao je Kalinski.

Oxfam procjenjuje da su dosad dale 39 milijardi dolara. Polovicu tog novca siromašne države trebale bi iskoristiti za zaštitu od posljedica klimatskih promjena i za jačanje otpornosti na utjecaje ekstremnih vremenskih neprilika.

U svibnju su izmjerene dosad najveće koncentracije ugljičnog dioksida, rekao je Dirk Bathe iz njemačke organizacije World Vision. Jedno je sigurno, razina raste, a sa zagrijavanjem češće su i bolesti, dodao je.

"Na G7 je da kaže: prijetnja je pred vratima. Ako ne znamo kako je riješiti, ući će kroz vrata", upozorio je Bathe.

Uoči klimatskog samita u engleskom okrugu Cornwallu ovoga vikenda, nevladine organizacije pozvale su u srijedu članice skupine G7 da učine više u borbi protiv klimatskih promjena.

Emisije ugljičnog dioksida moraju se smanjiti brže i spustiti na niže razine nego što se ranije obećavalo i treba povećati novčanu pomoć siromašnim zemljama, zatražile su te organizacije od bogatih industrijski najrazvijenijih država svijeta.

"Ono što je sada na stolu nije dovoljno", rekao je Joern Kalinski iz Oxfam Internationala, uoči samita u selu Carbis Bay na zabačenom jugozapadu Engleske.

Čelnici SAD-a, Njemačke, Velike Britanije, Kanade, Francuske, Italije i Japana te predstavnici EU-a sastaju se od petka do nedjelje u ljetovalištu Cornish.

Osim o pandemiji covida-19, središnja tema bit će borba protiv klimatskih promjena. Sastanak se održava uoči UN-ove klimatske konferencije COP26 u Glasgowu u Škotskoj u studenome.

Članice G7 nisu ispunile ranije obećanje da će godišnje dati oko 100 milijardi dolara pomoći siromašnim zemljama za zaštitu klime, rekao je Kalinski.

Oxfam procjenjuje da su dosad dale 39 milijardi dolara. Polovicu tog novca siromašne države trebale bi iskoristiti za zaštitu od posljedica klimatskih promjena i za jačanje otpornosti na utjecaje ekstremnih vremenskih neprilika.

U svibnju su izmjerene dosad najveće koncentracije ugljičnog dioksida, rekao je Dirk Bathe iz njemačke organizacije World Vision. Jedno je sigurno, razina raste, a sa zagrijavanjem češće su i bolesti, dodao je.

"Na G7 je da kaže: prijetnja je pred vratima. Ako ne znamo kako je riješiti, ući će kroz vrata", upozorio je Bathe.

Uoči klimatskog samita u engleskom okrugu Cornwallu ovoga vikenda, nevladine organizacije pozvale su u srijedu članice skupine G7 da učine više u borbi protiv klimatskih promjena.

Emisije ugljičnog dioksida moraju se smanjiti brže i spustiti na niže razine nego što se ranije obećavalo i treba povećati novčanu pomoć siromašnim zemljama, zatražile su te organizacije od bogatih industrijski najrazvijenijih država svijeta.

"Ono što je sada na stolu nije dovoljno", rekao je Joern Kalinski iz Oxfam Internationala, uoči samita u selu Carbis Bay na zabačenom jugozapadu Engleske.

Čelnici SAD-a, Njemačke, Velike Britanije, Kanade, Francuske, Italije i Japana te predstavnici EU-a sastaju se od petka do nedjelje u ljetovalištu Cornish.
