Nakon 0-2 poraza od Italije u Sarajevu u posljednjem kolu Lige nacija, Dušan Bajević i službeno je odstupio s dužnosti izbornika nogometne reprezentacije Bosne i Hercegovine i to kao najneuspješniji stručnjak na toj poziciji.

Bajević je dužnost izbornika susjedne države preuzeo nakon odlaska hrvatskog stručnjaka Roberta Prosinečkog krajem prošle godine te u osam dvoboja koliko je proveo na klupi "zmajeva" nije ostvario niti jednu pobjedu.

BiH je ispala iz elitne skupine Lige nacija u kojoj je ove jeseni ostvarila dva remija i četiri poraza, no najveći podbačaj bilo je ispadanje od Sjeverne Irske u polufinalu dodatnih kvalifikacija za odlazak na EURO prošloga mjeseca u Zenici. Nakon 120 minuta bilo je 1-1, no boljim izbođenjem 11-eraca dalje je prošla Sjeverna Irska. Usto, BiH je prije tjedan dana izgubila i prijateljski susret protiv Irana sa 0-2.

Reprezentacija BiH tako će kvalifikacije za Svjetsko prvenstvo 2022. u Kataru, a koje će početi u ožujku sljedeće godine, započeti s novim izbornikom, ali i novim predsjednikom Nogometnog saveza, jer sadašnjem čelniku krovne kuće nogometa u BiH Elvedinu Begiću ističe mandat.

Iako je najlošiji izbornik bosanskohercegovačke reprezentacije u povijesti, Dušan Bajević je smogao snage poručiti kako je ponosan što je sa klupe predvodio "zmajeve" i zatražio da se nitko drugi ne proglašava krivcem osim njega.  

"Nije me stid, ponosan sam što sam bio na čelu reprezentacije. Pokušali smo, nismo uspjeli. Nikoga ne trebate optuživati osim mene, ja sam taj koji je krivac", izjavio je popularni "Princ sa Neretve" i još jednom potvrdio svoje gospodstvo, koje ga je krasilo i kao igrača i kao trenera.

Bajević je odbacio špekulacije prema kojima se uoči utakmice protiv Italije fizički obračunao s direktorom reprezentacije Zvjezdanom Misimovićem naglasivši kako su samo popričali. Na koncu je pozvao na promjene, ali i upozorio na tešku situaciju vezanu uz pandemiju koronavirusa.

"Treba nam novi izbornik, mijenja se i predsjednik, trebaju se ciljevi postaviti. Ako nemaš ciljeve, nemaš ništa. Otvorili smo vrata nekim igračima, ali ako se nastavi ovo s koronom, ovo je sve badava", rekao je Bajević.

Nakon 0-2 poraza od Italije u Sarajevu u posljednjem kolu Lige nacija, Dušan Bajević i službeno je odstupio s dužnosti izbornika nogometne reprezentacije Bosne i Hercegovine i to kao najneuspješniji stručnjak na toj poziciji.

Bajević je dužnost izbornika susjedne države preuzeo nakon odlaska hrvatskog stručnjaka Roberta Prosinečkog krajem prošle godine te u osam dvoboja koliko je proveo na klupi "zmajeva" nije ostvario niti jednu pobjedu.

BiH je ispala iz elitne skupine Lige nacija u kojoj je ove jeseni ostvarila dva remija i četiri poraza, no najveći podbačaj bilo je ispadanje od Sjeverne Irske u polufinalu dodatnih kvalifikacija za odlazak na EURO prošloga mjeseca u Zenici. Nakon 120 minuta bilo je 1-1, no boljim izbođenjem 11-eraca dalje je prošla Sjeverna Irska. Usto, BiH je prije tjedan dana izgubila i prijateljski susret protiv Irana sa 0-2.

Reprezentacija BiH tako će kvalifikacije za Svjetsko prvenstvo 2022. u Kataru, a koje će početi u ožujku sljedeće godine, započeti s novim izbornikom, ali i novim predsjednikom Nogometnog saveza, jer sadašnjem čelniku krovne kuće nogometa u BiH Elvedinu Begiću ističe mandat.

Iako je najlošiji izbornik bosanskohercegovačke reprezentacije u povijesti, Dušan Bajević je smogao snage poručiti kako je ponosan što je sa klupe predvodio "zmajeve" i zatražio da se nitko drugi ne proglašava krivcem osim njega.  

"Nije me stid, ponosan sam što sam bio na čelu reprezentacije. Pokušali smo, nismo uspjeli. Nikoga ne trebate optuživati osim mene, ja sam taj koji je krivac", izjavio je popularni "Princ sa Neretve" i još jednom potvrdio svoje gospodstvo, koje ga je krasilo i kao igrača i kao trenera.

Bajević je odbacio špekulacije prema kojima se uoči utakmice protiv Italije fizički obračunao s direktorom reprezentacije Zvjezdanom Misimovićem naglasivši kako su samo popričali. Na koncu je pozvao na promjene, ali i upozorio na tešku situaciju vezanu uz pandemiju koronavirusa.

"Treba nam novi izbornik, mijenja se i predsjednik, trebaju se ciljevi postaviti. Ako nemaš ciljeve, nemaš ništa. Otvorili smo vrata nekim igračima, ali ako se nastavi ovo s koronom, ovo je sve badava", rekao je Bajević.

Nakon 0-2 poraza od Italije u Sarajevu u posljednjem kolu Lige nacija, Dušan Bajević i službeno je odstupio s dužnosti izbornika nogometne reprezentacije Bosne i Hercegovine i to kao najneuspješniji stručnjak na toj poziciji.

Bajević je dužnost izbornika susjedne države preuzeo nakon odlaska hrvatskog stručnjaka Roberta Prosinečkog krajem prošle godine te u osam dvoboja koliko je proveo na klupi "zmajeva" nije ostvario niti jednu pobjedu.

BiH je ispala iz elitne skupine Lige nacija u kojoj je ove jeseni ostvarila dva remija i četiri poraza, no najveći podbačaj bilo je ispadanje od Sjeverne Irske u polufinalu dodatnih kvalifikacija za odlazak na EURO prošloga mjeseca u Zenici. Nakon 120 minuta bilo je 1-1, no boljim izbođenjem 11-eraca dalje je prošla Sjeverna Irska....
