U zamjenu za 215 vojnika koji su se borili na strani ukrajinskih vlasti, ruske su vlasti u velikoj razmjeni dobile 55 ljudi, a među njima Viktora Medvedčuka, glavnog ruskog čovjeka u Ukrajini. Medvedčuk je Putinov kum, moćni oligarh i političar koji je bio spreman postati premijer Ukrajine u ruskom okupacijskom režimu, piše Jutarnji list. 

Viktor Medvedčuk (68) ukrajinski je naftni oligarh i medijski mogul, politički bitan jer je godinama vodio prorusku političku stranku u Ukrajini. Bio je vjeran Putinov saveznik u Ukrajini dva desetljeća, čak i nakon ruske aneksije Krima 2014. godine. I privatno su bili dobri, piše britanski Guardian, skupa su ljetovali u Putinovoj rezidenciji u Sočiju na Crnom moru i u Medvedčukovoj vili na Krimu. Ukrajinski oligarh ruskog je predsjednika nazivao prijateljem Osim toga, Putin je kum Medvedčukovoj najmlađoj kćeri Dariji.

Šef oporbe

Zbog bliskosti s Putinom, ukrajinski oligarh našao se na europskom popisu sankcija, pa je u ožujku u Rijeci zaplijenjena njegova 93-metarska jahta Royal Romance, vrijedna 200 milijuna dolara. U srpnju su zaplijenjeni Medvedčukov helikopter Bell 427 i poslovni mlažnjak Gulfstream G650 predani ukrajinskoj vojsci.

Viktor Medvedčuk bio je predsjednik proruske političke organizacije Ukrajinski izbor od 2018. do 2022. Budući da se zalaže za najbliže veze Ukrajine i Rusije, protivnik je ulaska Ukrajine u Europsku uniju. Aktivno je u politici od 1997., kad ulazi u Vrhovnu Radu, ukrajinski parlament. 2002. i 2005. bio je šef kabineta bivšeg ukrajinskog predsjednika Leonida Kučme. Viktor Medvedčuk ponovo je izabran za zastupnika na parlamentarnim izborima u kolovozu 2019., šef je najveće oporbene skupine, Platforme za život. Ukrajinske vlasti još su 2021. optužile Medvedčuka za pomaganje terorizmu.

Glavni tužitelj pokrenuo je postupak protiv njega za izdaju i pokušaj pljačke nacionalnih resursa na Krimu. Prijeti mu doživotna kazna zbog izdaje te pomaganja i poticanja terorističke organizacije za posredovanje u kupnji ugljena za prorusku republiku Doneck na istoku Ukrajine. U kućnom je pritvoru bio od 13. svibnja 2021. Četiri dana nakon ruske invazije na Ukrajinu pobjegao je iz kućnog pritvora, ali su ga ukrajinske snage uhitile 12. travnja. Tada je ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski predložio njegovu razmjenu za ukrajinske ratne zarobljenike koje drži Rusija, no Kremlj je odbio ponudu.

Bijeg iz pritvora

Medvedčuk je bio vlasnik proruskih televizijskih postaja u Ukrajini. Ukrajinske vlasti su ih zatvorile, zaplijenile imovinu Medvedčuku i njegovoj obitelji, a njega stavile u kućni pritvor. Nešto prije ruske invazije na Ukrajinu 24. veljače, američki obavještajci ustvrdili su da je Moskva isplanirala da Medvedčuk bude na čelu proruske ukrajinske vlade po uspješnom okončanju "specijalne operacije".

Nekoliko dana nakon početka ruske invazije Medvedčuk je nestao iz kućnog pritvora u Kijevu, pa se mislilo da su ga ruske specijalne snage uspjele izvući iz zemlje. No, ispostavilo se da je u pritvoru. Glasnogovornik Kremlja Dmitrij Peskov demantirao je da je Medvedčuk imao bilo kakve tajne odnose s Rusijom. Da jest, tvrdio je Peskov, napustio bi Ukrajinu prije početka rata. "Medvedčuk nije ruski državljanin i nema nikakve veze sa specijalnom vojnom operacijom. On je strani političar", rekao je Peskov prije nekoliko mjeseci.

Na kraju se postavlja pitanje zašto se Ukrajina odrekla ‘najvećeg ulova‘ u ovom ratu. Možda je to najbolje objasnio savjetnik od Volodomira Zelenskog, Andrij Jermak.

U zamjenu za 215 vojnika koji su se borili na strani ukrajinskih vlasti, ruske su vlasti u velikoj razmjeni dobile 55 ljudi, a među njima Viktora Medvedčuka, glavnog ruskog čovjeka u Ukrajini. Medvedčuk je Putinov kum, moćni oligarh i političar koji je bio spreman postati premijer Ukrajine u ruskom okupacijskom režimu, piše Jutarnji list. 

Viktor Medvedčuk (68) ukrajinski je naftni oligarh i medijski mogul, politički bitan jer je godinama vodio prorusku političku stranku u Ukrajini. Bio je vjeran Putinov saveznik u Ukrajini dva desetljeća, čak i nakon ruske aneksije Krima 2014. godine. I privatno su bili dobri, piše britanski Guardian, skupa su ljetovali u Putinovoj rezidenciji u Sočiju na Crnom moru i u Medvedčukovoj vili na Krimu. Ukrajinski oligarh ruskog je predsjednika nazivao prijateljem Osim toga, Putin je kum Medvedčukovoj najmlađoj kćeri Dariji.

Šef oporbe

Zbog bliskosti s Putinom, ukrajinski oligarh našao se na europskom popisu sankcija, pa je u ožujku u Rijeci zaplijenjena njegova 93-metarska jahta Royal Romance, vrijedna 200 milijuna dolara. U srpnju su zaplijenjeni Medvedčukov helikopter Bell 427 i poslovni mlažnjak Gulfstream G650 predani ukrajinskoj vojsci.

Viktor Medvedčuk bio je predsjednik proruske političke organizacije Ukrajinski izbor od 2018. do 2022. Budući da se zalaže za najbliže veze Ukrajine i Rusije, protivnik je ulaska Ukrajine u Europsku uniju. Aktivno je u politici od 1997., kad ulazi u Vrhovnu Radu, ukrajinski parlament. 2002. i 2005. bio je šef kabineta bivšeg ukrajinskog predsjednika Leonida Kučme. Viktor Medvedčuk ponovo je izabran za zastupnika na parlamentarnim izborima u kolovozu 2019., šef je najveće oporbene skupine, Platforme za život. Ukrajinske vlasti još su 2021. optužile Medvedčuka za pomaganje terorizmu.

Glavni tužitelj pokrenuo je postupak protiv njega za izdaju i pokušaj pljačke nacionalnih resursa na Krimu. Prijeti mu doživotna kazna zbog izdaje te pomaganja i poticanja terorističke organizacije za posredovanje u kupnji ugljena za prorusku republiku Doneck na istoku Ukrajine. U kućnom je pritvoru bio od 13. svibnja 2021. Četiri dana nakon ruske invazije na Ukrajinu pobjegao je iz kućnog pritvora, ali su ga ukrajinske snage uhitile 12. travnja. Tada je ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski predložio njegovu razmjenu za ukrajinske ratne zarobljenike koje drži Rusija, no Kremlj je odbio ponudu.

Bijeg iz pritvora

Medvedčuk je bio vlasnik proruskih televizijskih postaja u Ukrajini. Ukrajinske vlasti su ih zatvorile, zaplijenile imovinu Medvedčuku i njegovoj obitelji, a njega stavile u kućni pritvor. Nešto prije ruske invazije na Ukrajinu 24. veljače, američki obavještajci ustvrdili su da je Moskva isplanirala da Medvedčuk bude na čelu proruske ukrajinske vlade po uspješnom okončanju "specijalne operacije".

Nekoliko dana nakon početka ruske invazije Medvedčuk je nestao iz kućnog pritvora u Kijevu, pa se mislilo da su ga ruske specijalne snage uspjele izvući iz zemlje. No, ispostavilo se da je u pritvoru. Glasnogovornik Kremlja Dmitrij Peskov demantirao je da je Medvedčuk imao bilo kakve tajne odnose s Rusijom. Da jest, tvrdio je Peskov, napustio bi Ukrajinu prije početka rata. "Medvedčuk nije ruski državljanin i nema nikakve veze sa specijalnom vojnom operacijom. On je strani političar", rekao je Peskov prije nekoliko mjeseci.

Na kraju se postavlja pitanje zašto se Ukrajina odrekla ‘najvećeg ulova‘ u ovom ratu. Možda je to najbolje objasnio savjetnik od Volodomira Zelenskog, Andrij Jermak.

U zamjenu za 215 vojnika koji su se borili na strani ukrajinskih vlasti, ruske su vlasti u velikoj razmjeni dobile 55 ljudi, a među njima Viktora Medvedčuka, glavnog ruskog čovjeka u Ukrajini.
