Rođak suosnivačice pokreta Black Lives Matter preminuo je nekoliko sati nakon što su policajci u Los Angelesu u više navrata upotrijebili elektrošoker i vezali ga na ulici. Učitelj Keenan Anderson (31) umro je u bolnici u Santa Monici, prenosi Jutarnji.

Policija Los Angelesa objavila je snimke intervencije koja se odvijala 3. siječnja, a prikazuju Andersona kako moli za pomoć dok ga policajci drže.

U jednom se trenutku može čuti kako viče da ga policajci žele ubiti kao Georgea Floyda, referirajući se na ubojstvo crnca u Minneapolisu u svibnju 2020. od strane tamošnjih policajaca.

Uzrok Andersonove smrti, koji je živio na području Washingtona i bio u posjetu Los Angelesu, nije službeno utvrđen.

Objavljena snimka povećava pritisak na policiju Los Angelesa čije su intervencije u manje od tjedan dana rezultirale s fatalnim ishodima za trojicu muškaraca druge boje kože. Naime, Takara Smitha (45) i Oscara Sancheza (35) policajci su ubili početkom siječnja.

Gradonačelnica Los Angelesa Karen Bass nazvala je incidente "duboko uznemirujućima", dok je policija ustvrdila da istražuje smrt trojice spomenutih muškaraca.

Policija je na intervenciju u slučaju Keenana Andersona pozvana na mjesto prometne nesreće oko 15 sati po lokalnom vremenu. Prema tvrdnjama šefa policije Michaela Moorea, on je skrivio prometnu nesreću. Nadalje, rečeno je kako je Anderson pokušao pobjeći s mjesta nesreće i to pokušavajući "ući u automobil druge osobe bez njezina dopuštenja".

Sudeći po snimci, Anderson je već po dolasku policije bio u rastrojenom stanju govoreći policajcu kako ga netko pokušava ubiti, iako se na snimci ne vidi nikakva vidljiva prijetnja. Iako se muškarac u početku ponašao u skladu s uputama policajaca, kako je stizalo još pripadnika policije, on ustaje i istrčava na ulicu ignorirajući zahtjeve da se zaustavi.

Kada su policajci došli do Andersona i pokušali ga uhititi, on je prvo suradljiv, zatim prkosan, a na koncu uplašen i viče: "upomoć!" i "pokušavaju me ubiti kao Georgea Floyda!".

Pištolj za omamljivanje isprva je korišten na Andersonu oko 30 sekundi nakon što ga je policajac više puta upozorio da se prestane opirati uhićenju. Za to vrijeme držali su ga drugi policajci. Potom su ga elektrošokerom napali još otprilike pet sekundi.

Hitna pomoć stigla je oko pet minuta nakon što je bio napadnut pištoljem za omamljivanje, rekla je policija, i odvezla Andersona u lokalnu bolnicu. Umro je četiri i pol sata kasnije nakon srčanog zastoja.

Toksikološko izvješće koje je izradila policija pokazalo je da je Andersonova krv bila pozitivna na kanabis i kokain. Ured mrtvozornika okruga Los Angeles napravit će zasebno izvješće.

Andersonova smrt pokrenula je nove pozive aktivista za reformu policije, od kojih neki vjeruju da policajci s oružjem ne bi trebali biti angažirani u prometnim nesrećama.

Patrisse Cullors, suosnivačica pokreta Black Lives Matter i Andersonova sestrična, rekla je za Guardian:

- Moj rođak je tražio pomoć, ali nije je dobio. Moj bratić bio je uplašen za svoj život. Proveo je posljednjih 10 godina svjedočeći pokretu koji je osporavao ubijanje crnaca. Znao je što je u pitanju i pokušavao se zaštititi. Nitko nije bio spreman zaštititi ga.

Cullors se pridružila brojnim drugim pozivima šefu losanđeleške policije da podnese ostavku.

Rođak suosnivačice pokreta Black Lives Matter preminuo je nekoliko sati nakon što su policajci u Los Angelesu u više navrata upotrijebili elektrošoker i vezali ga na ulici. Učitelj Keenan Anderson (31) umro je u bolnici u Santa Monici, prenosi Jutarnji.

Policija Los Angelesa objavila je snimke intervencije koja se odvijala 3. siječnja, a prikazuju Andersona kako moli za pomoć dok ga policajci drže.

U jednom se trenutku može čuti kako viče da ga policajci žele ubiti kao Georgea Floyda, referirajući se na ubojstvo crnca u Minneapolisu u svibnju 2020. od strane tamošnjih policajaca.

Uzrok Andersonove smrti, koji je živio na području Washingtona i bio u posjetu Los Angelesu, nije službeno utvrđen.

Objavljena snimka povećava pritisak na policiju Los Angelesa čije su intervencije u manje od tjedan dana rezultirale s fatalnim ishodima za trojicu muškaraca druge boje kože. Naime, Takara Smitha (45) i Oscara Sancheza (35) policajci su ubili početkom siječnja.

Gradonačelnica Los Angelesa Karen Bass nazvala je incidente "duboko uznemirujućima", dok je policija ustvrdila da istražuje smrt trojice spomenutih muškaraca.

Policija je na intervenciju u slučaju Keenana Andersona pozvana na mjesto prometne nesreće oko 15 sati po lokalnom vremenu. Prema tvrdnjama šefa policije Michaela Moorea, on je skrivio prometnu nesreću. Nadalje, rečeno je kako je Anderson pokušao pobjeći s mjesta nesreće i to pokušavajući "ući u automobil druge osobe bez njezina dopuštenja".

Sudeći po snimci, Anderson je već po dolasku policije bio u rastrojenom stanju govoreći policajcu kako ga netko pokušava ubiti, iako se na snimci ne vidi nikakva vidljiva prijetnja. Iako se muškarac u početku ponašao u skladu s uputama policajaca, kako je stizalo još pripadnika policije, on ustaje i istrčava na ulicu ignorirajući zahtjeve da se zaustavi.

Kada su policajci došli do Andersona i pokušali ga uhititi, on je prvo suradljiv, zatim prkosan, a na koncu uplašen i viče: "upomoć!" i "pokušavaju me ubiti kao Georgea Floyda!".

Pištolj za omamljivanje isprva je korišten na Andersonu oko 30 sekundi nakon što ga je policajac više puta upozorio da se prestane opirati uhićenju. Za to vrijeme držali su ga drugi policajci. Potom su ga elektrošokerom napali još otprilike pet sekundi.

Hitna pomoć stigla je oko pet minuta nakon što je bio napadnut pištoljem za omamljivanje, rekla je policija, i odvezla Andersona u lokalnu bolnicu. Umro je četiri i pol sata kasnije nakon srčanog zastoja.

Toksikološko izvješće koje je izradila policija pokazalo je da je Andersonova krv bila pozitivna na kanabis i kokain. Ured mrtvozornika okruga Los Angeles napravit će zasebno izvješće.

Andersonova smrt pokrenula je nove pozive aktivista za reformu policije, od kojih neki vjeruju da policajci s oružjem ne bi trebali biti angažirani u prometnim nesrećama.

Patrisse Cullors, suosnivačica pokreta Black Lives Matter i Andersonova sestrična, rekla je za Guardian:

- Moj rođak je tražio pomoć, ali nije je dobio. Moj bratić bio je uplašen za svoj život. Proveo je posljednjih 10 godina svjedočeći pokretu koji je osporavao ubijanje crnaca. Znao je što je u pitanju i pokušavao se zaštititi. Nitko nije bio spreman zaštititi ga.

Cullors se pridružila brojnim drugim pozivima šefu losanđeleške policije da podnese ostavku.

Rođak suosnivačice pokreta Black Lives Matter preminuo je nekoliko sati nakon što su policajci u Los Angelesu u više navrata upotrijebili elektrošoker i vezali ga na ulici. Učitelj Keenan Anderson (31) umro je u bolnici u Santa Monici, prenosi Jutarnji.

Policija Los Angelesa objavila je snimke intervencije koja se odvijala 3. siječnja, a prikazuju Andersona kako moli za pomoć dok ga policajci drže.

U jednom se trenutku može čuti kako viče da ga policajci žele ubiti kao Georgea Floyda, referirajući se na ubojstvo crnca u Minneapolisu u svibnju 2020. od strane tamošnjih policajaca.

Uzrok Andersonove smrti, koji je živio na području Washingtona i bio u posjetu Los Angelesu, nije službeno utvrđen.
