Brojke su više nego alarmantne, kaže Zeinab Hijazi, koautorica studije o mladima i suicidu. Prema istraživanju UNICEF-a svaki sedmi adolescent u dobi od 10 do 19 godina u svijetu živi s dijagnosticiranim mentalnim poremećajem. To uključuje probleme u ponašanju, strah, anksioznost i depresiju, od kojih su neki toliko ozbiljni da pogođeni nisu u stanju dalje živjeti i dižu ruke na sebe, piše Deutsche Welle.

Kao rezultat toga, svakih jedanaest minuta umre jedna mlada osoba, kaže stručnjakinja UNICEF-a za mentalno zdravlje Zeinab Hijazi: "Gotovo 46.000 mladih ljudi oduzme sebi život svake godine. U dobnoj skupini od 15 do 19 godina suicid je jedan od pet najčešćih uzroka smrti." Mladi ljudi više umiru samo od prometnih nesreća, tuberkuloze ili nasilja.

Svaka četvrti mladi Nijemac deprimiran

U istraživanju koje je provedeno u 21 zemlji svaki peti mladić ili djevojka u dobi od 15 do 24 godine se, kako su izjavili, često osjeća depresivno. U Njemačkoj je to rekao svaki četvrti ispitanik, odnosno ispitanica. Posljedice pandemije koronavirusa očito su vrh ledenog brijega koji je postojao i prije, upozorava izvršna direktorica UNICEF-a Henrietta Fore.

Zbog lockdowna u cijeloj zemlji i ograničenja povezanih s pandemijom, djeca su bitne dijelove svog života provela izolirana od prijatelja i rodbine. No, štetu su ostavile i indirektne posljedice pandemije, kaže Zeinab Hijazi: "Povećanje siromaštva, hitni slučajevi kojima je potrebna humanitarna pomoć, ali i nasilje u obitelji. Sve to doprinosi psihološkom stresu kod djece."

U tom smislu škole su od posebne važnosti. UNICEF je dugo upozoravao da one moraju što prije biti ponovo otvorene. Gotovo trećina škola u svijetu još uvijek je djelomično ili potpuno zatvorena. Zbog toga je djevojčicama i dječacima uskraćen pristup obrazovanju i drugim vrstama podrške, piše Deutsche Welle.

Brojke su više nego alarmantne, kaže Zeinab Hijazi, koautorica studije o mladima i suicidu. Prema istraživanju UNICEF-a svaki sedmi adolescent u dobi od 10 do 19 godina u svijetu živi s dijagnosticiranim mentalnim poremećajem. To uključuje probleme u ponašanju, strah, anksioznost i depresiju, od kojih su neki toliko ozbiljni da pogođeni nisu u stanju dalje živjeti i dižu ruke na sebe, piše Deutsche Welle.

Kao rezultat toga, svakih jedanaest minuta umre jedna mlada osoba, kaže stručnjakinja UNICEF-a za mentalno zdravlje Zeinab Hijazi: "Gotovo 46.000 mladih ljudi oduzme sebi život svake godine. U dobnoj skupini od 15 do 19 godina suicid je jedan od pet najčešćih uzroka smrti." Mladi ljudi više umiru samo od prometnih nesreća, tuberkuloze ili nasilja.

Svaka četvrti mladi Nijemac deprimiran

U istraživanju koje je provedeno u 21 zemlji svaki peti mladić ili djevojka u dobi od 15 do 24 godine se, kako su izjavili, često osjeća depresivno. U Njemačkoj je to rekao svaki četvrti ispitanik, odnosno ispitanica. Posljedice pandemije koronavirusa očito su vrh ledenog brijega koji je postojao i prije, upozorava izvršna direktorica UNICEF-a Henrietta Fore.

Zbog lockdowna u cijeloj zemlji i ograničenja povezanih s pandemijom, djeca su bitne dijelove svog života provela izolirana od prijatelja i rodbine. No, štetu su ostavile i indirektne posljedice pandemije, kaže Zeinab Hijazi: "Povećanje siromaštva, hitni slučajevi kojima je potrebna humanitarna pomoć, ali i nasilje u obitelji. Sve to doprinosi psihološkom stresu kod djece."

U tom smislu škole su od posebne važnosti. UNICEF je dugo upozoravao da one moraju što prije biti ponovo otvorene. Gotovo trećina škola u svijetu još uvijek je djelomično ili potpuno zatvorena. Zbog toga je djevojčicama i dječacima uskraćen pristup obrazovanju i drugim vrstama podrške, piše Deutsche Welle.

Brojke su više nego alarmantne, kaže Zeinab Hijazi, koautorica studije o mladima i suicidu. Prema istraživanju UNICEF-a svaki sedmi adolescent u dobi od 10 do 19 godina u svijetu živi s dijagnosticiranim mentalnim poremećajem. To uključuje probleme u ponašanju, strah, anksioznost i depresiju, od kojih su neki toliko ozbiljni da pogođeni nisu u stanju dalje živjeti i dižu ruke na sebe, piše Deutsche Welle.

Kao rezultat toga, svakih jedanaest minuta umre jedna mlada osoba, kaže stručnjakinja UNICEF-a za mentalno zdravlje Zeinab Hijazi: "Gotovo 46.000 mladih ljudi oduzme sebi život svake godine. U dobnoj skupini od 15 do 19 godina suicid je jedan od pet najčešćih uzroka smrti." Mladi ljudi više umiru samo od prometnih nesreća, tuberkuloze ili nasilja.
