Potomak njemačkog princa vodi pravnu bitku protiv Berlina kako bi povratio imovinu koju je 'ukrao' šef SS-a, Heinrich Himmler, nakon što je njegov djed pomagao u zavjeri za ubojstvo Adolfa Hitlera. Obitelj princa Friedricha zu Solms-Barutha V vodila je 30-godišnju pravnu bitku za povratak zemlje u istočno-njemačkoj državi Brandenburg. Potomak njemačkog princa vodi pravnu bitku protiv Berlina kako bi povratio imovinu koju je 'ukrao' šef SS-a, Heinrich Himmler, nakon što je njegov djed pomagao u zavjeri za ubojstvo Adolfa Hitlera. Obitelj princa Friedricha zu Solms-Barutha V vodila je 30-godišnju pravnu bitku za povratak zemlje u istočno-njemačkoj državi Brandenburg. Tvrdi da su je zauzeli nacisti zbog bitne uloge njegova oca u zavjeri u srpnju 1944. oko Hitlerove egzekucije, poznatoj kao 'Operacija Valkira' i u kojoj su sudjelovali mnogi pripadnici plemićkih obitelji.

Solms-Baruth V vjeruje da bi njegov slučaj mogao utrti put drugim žrtvama nacista, uključujući njemačke Židove, koji traže da im se vrati imovina ukradena od strane režima. Njegov bi slučaj, kaže, mogao biti lakmus test da se vidi je li moderna Njemačka 'stvarno naučila lekcije iz svoje mračne prošlosti'. On tvrdi da je njegov djed dugo mrzio Hitlera i da je bio 'potpuno protiv' njega 'čak i prije nego što je došao na vlast'. Rekao je da je imanje Brandenburga nudilo 'savršeno mjesto' za okupljalište antinacističkog puča 1944. godine.

Istraživanje bivšeg britanskog zastupnika Ruperta Allasona potvrdilo je da je imanje bilo 'stožer priprema' za srpanjsku zavjeru, rekao je Friedrich. Kad je državni udar propao, njegova je djeda mučila tajna policija Gestapoa i prisilila ga da potpiše papire za predaju imanja. Njemačke vlasti odbacile su dokaze koje je iznijela obitelj, uključujući pisano svjedočanstvo drugog zavjerenika Operacije Valkira koji je preživio nacistički napad. Princ je dodao kako je ideja da je primopredaja zemljišta legalna 'izuzetno cinična i apsurdna'.

Obitelj se planira obratiti Europskom sudu za ljudska prava ako se iscrpe pravne mogućnosti u Njemačkoj. Smatra se da postoji između 10.000 i 20.000 sličnih slučajeva u njemačkim arhivima za restituciju.

Potomak njemačkog princa vodi pravnu bitku protiv Berlina kako bi povratio imovinu koju je 'ukrao' šef SS-a, Heinrich Himmler, nakon što je njegov djed pomagao u zavjeri za ubojstvo Adolfa Hitlera. Obitelj princa Friedricha zu Solms-Barutha V vodila je 30-godišnju pravnu bitku za povratak zemlje u istočno-njemačkoj državi Brandenburg. Tvrdi da su je zauzeli nacisti zbog bitne uloge njegova oca u zavjeri u srpnju 1944. oko Hitlerove egzekucije, poznatoj kao 'Operacija Valkira' i u kojoj su sudjelovali mnogi pripadnici plemićkih obitelji.

Njemačke vlasti oklijevale su priznati ovo pravo obitelji, tvrdeći da je imanje ili dobrovoljno predano nacističkom režimu ili da su ga istočnonjemačke vlasti zaplijenile u okviru programa zemljišne reforme dugo nakon Drugog svjetskog...
