Osobe koje su preboljele COVID, a nisu bile cijepljene, godinu dana nakon preboljene bolesti imaju značajno povećan rizik za razvoj kardivoaskularnih problema uključujući razvoj doživotnih kroničnih bolesti poput srčane insuficijencije, ishemijske i neishemijske kardiomiopatije. Ako ste i sami među takvima, a osjećate težinu u prsima i umor, bez obzira što niste nikad prije zaraze COVID-om imali srčanih problema, otiđe na preventivni pregled.

U svom velikom istraživanju znanstvenici američkog Ministarstva za ratne veterane usporedili su stope novih kardiovaskularnih problema kod 153.760 osoba zaraženih koronavirusom (oni su oboljeli prije nego što su cjepiva bila dostupna), s još dvije skupine: s 5,6 milijuna ljudi koji se nisu zarazili virusom i još 5,9 milijuna ljudi čiji su podaci prikupljeni prije pandemije.

Studija je objavljena prošli tjedan u znanstvenom časopisu Nature medicine, a pokazuje da su godinu dana nakon oporavka od akutne faze infekcije, necijepljene osobe koje su preboljele COVID imale 63 posto veći rizik za srčani udar, 69 posto veći rizik za problematičan nepravilan srčani ritam, 52 posto veći rizik od moždanog udara, čak 72 posto veći rizik od zatajenja srca i gotovo tri puta veći rizik od potencijalno smrtonosnog krvnog ugruška u plućima u usporedbi s druge dvije skupine. Studija ne uključuje podatke koji uključuju delta i omikron varijante virusa, koji su se počeli brzo širiti u drugoj polovici 2021.

Povišeni rizici među osobama koje su se oporavile od Covida bili su evidentni kod svih skupina: mladih i starih, crnaca i bijelaca, muškaraca i žena, osoba sa i bez dijabetesa, bubrežnim bolesnicima i onima koji to nisu, kao i kod pušača i nepušača.

"Prilično sam iznenađen ovim rezultatima koji pokazuju da kardiovaskularne komplikacije COVID-a mogu trajati tako dugo", naveo je Hossein Ardehali, kardiolog sa Sveučilišta Northwestern u Chicagu.

Dr. Ziyad Al-Aly iz Uprave za veterane zdravstvenog osiguranja i Sveučilišta Washington u St. Louisu, koji je jedan od autora studije izjavio je kako su rizici za srčana oboljenja visoki čak i kod ljudi koji su imali blagi Covid i nisu bili hospitalizirani.  

Dodao je i kako studija pokazuje da su ljudi koji nikada nisu imali problema sa srcem i koji se smatraju niskim rizikom također razvijali srčane probleme nakon preboljenog COVID-19.

"Ulazeći u ovo istraživanje računali smo da se rizik drastično povećava kod ljudi koji inače imaju veći rizik od kardiovaskularnih poremećaja poput pušača, pretilih osoba ili dijabetičara, no ono što smo otkrili drukčije je, stoga sve osobe koje su preboljele Covid trebaju obratiti pozornost na svoje zdravlje i potražiti liječničku pomoć ako osjete simptome kao što su bol i pritisak u prsima, lupanje srca, otekline u nogama… - komentirao je Al-Aly.

Isto tako, smatra da se o postcovid posljedicama treba povesti šira stručna rasprava budući one mogu značajno utjecati na sve aspekte naših života, od zdravlje, gospodarstva i društvenog blagostanje u narednim desetljećima. Centri za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) procjenjuju da svaki četvrti Amerikanac svake godine umre od srčanih bolesti. U Hrvatskoj su kardiovaskularne bolesti prvi uzrok smrtnosti, a od njih je 2020. godine umrlo 22.886 osoba, odnosno 40,1 posto ukupno umrlih. Analiza po spolu pokazuje da su uzrok smrti kod 45,4 umrlih žena i 34,7 posto umrlih muškaraca.

Kardiovaskularne bolesti kao krovni pojam pod kojim se klasificiraju razna srčana stanja, tromboze i moždani udari, vodeći je uzrok smrti u cijelom svijetu.

"Naši rezultati potvrđuju ozbiljne dugoročne kardiovaskularne posljedice od infekcije koronavirusom i naglašavaju važnost cijepljenja protiv COVID-a kao načina za sprječavanje oštećenja srca. Ovo također naglašava važnost povećanja dostupnosti cjepiva u zemljama s ograničenim resursima", upozorio je Al-Aly.

Osobe koje su preboljele COVID, a nisu bile cijepljene, godinu dana nakon preboljene bolesti imaju značajno povećan rizik za razvoj kardivoaskularnih problema uključujući razvoj doživotnih kroničnih bolesti poput srčane insuficijencije, ishemijske i neishemijske kardiomiopatije. Ako ste i sami među takvima, a osjećate težinu u prsima i umor, bez obzira što niste nikad prije zaraze COVID-om imali srčanih problema, otiđe na preventivni pregled.

U svom velikom istraživanju znanstvenici američkog Ministarstva za ratne veterane usporedili su stope novih kardiovaskularnih problema kod 153.760 osoba zaraženih koronavirusom (oni su oboljeli prije nego što su cjepiva bila dostupna), s još dvije skupine: s 5,6 milijuna ljudi koji se nisu zarazili virusom i još 5,9 milijuna ljudi čiji su podaci prikupljeni prije pandemije.

Studija je objavljena prošli tjedan u znanstvenom časopisu Nature medicine, a pokazuje da su godinu dana nakon oporavka od akutne faze infekcije, necijepljene osobe koje su preboljele COVID imale 63 posto veći rizik za srčani udar, 69 posto veći rizik za problematičan nepravilan srčani ritam, 52 posto veći rizik od moždanog udara, čak 72 posto veći rizik od zatajenja srca i gotovo tri puta veći rizik od potencijalno smrtonosnog krvnog ugruška u plućima u usporedbi s druge dvije skupine. Studija ne uključuje podatke koji uključuju delta i omikron varijante virusa, koji su se počeli brzo širiti u drugoj polovici 2021.

Povišeni rizici među osobama koje su se oporavile od Covida bili su evidentni kod svih skupina: mladih i starih, crnaca i bijelaca, muškaraca i žena, osoba sa i bez dijabetesa, bubrežnim bolesnicima i onima koji to nisu, kao i kod pušača i nepušača.

"Prilično sam iznenađen ovim rezultatima koji pokazuju da kardiovaskularne komplikacije COVID-a mogu trajati tako dugo", naveo je Hossein Ardehali, kardiolog sa Sveučilišta Northwestern u Chicagu.

Dr. Ziyad Al-Aly iz Uprave za veterane zdravstvenog osiguranja i Sveučilišta Washington u St. Louisu, koji je jedan od autora studije izjavio je kako su rizici za srčana oboljenja visoki čak i kod ljudi koji su imali blagi Covid i nisu bili hospitalizirani.  

Dodao je i kako studija pokazuje da su ljudi koji nikada nisu imali problema sa srcem i koji se smatraju niskim rizikom također razvijali srčane probleme nakon preboljenog COVID-19.

"Ulazeći u ovo istraživanje računali smo da se rizik drastično povećava kod ljudi koji inače imaju veći rizik od kardiovaskularnih poremećaja poput pušača, pretilih osoba ili dijabetičara, no ono što smo otkrili drukčije je, stoga sve osobe koje su preboljele Covid trebaju obratiti pozornost na svoje zdravlje i potražiti liječničku pomoć ako osjete simptome kao što su bol i pritisak u prsima, lupanje srca, otekline u nogama… - komentirao je Al-Aly.

Isto tako, smatra da se o postcovid posljedicama treba povesti šira stručna rasprava budući one mogu značajno utjecati na sve aspekte naših života, od zdravlje, gospodarstva i društvenog blagostanje u narednim desetljećima. Centri za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) procjenjuju da svaki četvrti Amerikanac svake godine umre od srčanih bolesti. U Hrvatskoj su kardiovaskularne bolesti prvi uzrok smrtnosti, a od njih je 2020. godine umrlo 22.886 osoba, odnosno 40,1 posto ukupno umrlih. Analiza po spolu pokazuje da su uzrok smrti kod 45,4 umrlih žena i 34,7 posto umrlih muškaraca.

Kardiovaskularne bolesti kao krovni pojam pod kojim se klasificiraju razna srčana stanja, tromboze i moždani udari, vodeći je uzrok smrti u cijelom svijetu.

"Naši rezultati potvrđuju ozbiljne dugoročne kardiovaskularne posljedice od infekcije koronavirusom i naglašavaju važnost cijepljenja protiv COVID-a kao načina za sprječavanje oštećenja srca. Ovo također naglašava važnost povećanja dostupnosti cjepiva u zemljama s ograničenim resursima", upozorio je Al-Aly.
