Dvije doze kineskog cjepiva Sinovac nisu dovoljne da proizvedu dovoljno antitijela kako bi organizam zaštitile od nove varijante koronavirusa omikron, izvijestili su znanstvenici iz Hong Konga.

Nalazi studije koju je objavilo Sveučilište u Hong Kongu potaknuli su tjeskobu jer omikron raste u mnogim dijelovima svijeta, a novi je soj ponovno pokrenuo pitanje učinkovitosti kineskih cjepiva i sposobnosti Pekinga da drži virus pod kontrolom, prenosi Jutarnji.

- Kineska cjepiva protiv omikrona još su neučinkovitija nego što su bila. Izazov za kineske vlasti bit će ponovno angažirati svoju populaciju da pristnanu na još jednu rundu cjepiva - rekao je Nicholas Thomas, izvanredni profesor na Gradskom sveučilištu u Hong Kongu koji je specijaliziran za kinesku vanjsku politiku i zdravstvenu sigurnost u Aziji.

Studija iz Hong Konga testirala je razine antitijela kod 25 ljudi koji su primili obje doze inaktiviranog cjepiva Sinovac i otkrila da nijedan sudionik nije imao dovoljno antitijela za neutralizaciju nove varijante.

Nasuprot tome, petero ljudi iz skupine od 25 osoba koje su dobile dvije doze cjepiva BioNTech/Pfizer imalo je detektabilna neutralizirajuća antitijela, a za koje su istraživači rekli da ima 'učinkovitost' između 20 i 24 posto protiv omikrona.

Višestruke laboratorijske studije pokazale su da novi soj narušava zaštitu antitijela koju pružaju dvije doze bilo kojeg cjepiva, a proteklog je tjedna Pfizer izvijestio da će tri doze njihovog cjepiva moći neutralizirati omikron.

Zasebne preliminarne studije sa Sveučilišta Oxford i Medicinskog sveučilišta u Innsbrucku otkrile su da mnoge osobe cijepljene s dvije doze AstraZenece nisu proizveli nikakva mjerljiva neutralizirajuća antitijela protiv omikrona.

Međutim, stručnjaci naglašavaju da će dvostruko cijepljeni i dalje zadržati određenu zaštitu od teškog oblika bolesti jer tu posreduju T i B limfociti, odnosno stanice stečene imunosti, a ne antitijela.

Kelvin To, jedan od istraživača sa sveučilišta, rekao je za Financial Times kako se još mora ustvrditi trebaju li oni koji su dva puta cijepljeni Sinovacom prijeći na drugo booster cjepivo.

Trenutno je u tijeku još jedna studija o utjecaju tri injekcije cjepiva Sinovac na omikron varijantu.

Očekuje se da će rezultati biti objavljeni sljedeći tjedan, a glasnogovornik Sinovca već je izvijestio kako su njihovi rezultati laboratorijskih testova pokazali da bi treća doza 'bila učinkovita u pokušaju neutralizacije omikrona'.

Ogroman broj zemalja diljem svijeta uključujući Tursku, Filipine i Indoneziju, ali i nama susjedne BiH i Srbiju, cijepile su svoje stanovnike cjepivom Sinovac.

Za sada Hong Kong koristi tzv. 'nultu covid strategiju' za sprječavanje infekcije te se nijedan slučaj omikrona, od devet zabilježenih, nije proširio u zajednicu.

Dvije doze kineskog cjepiva Sinovac nisu dovoljne da proizvedu dovoljno antitijela kako bi organizam zaštitile od nove varijante koronavirusa omikron, izvijestili su znanstvenici iz Hong Konga.

Nalazi studije koju je objavilo Sveučilište u Hong Kongu potaknuli su tjeskobu jer omikron raste u mnogim dijelovima svijeta, a novi je soj ponovno pokrenuo pitanje učinkovitosti kineskih cjepiva i sposobnosti Pekinga da drži virus pod kontrolom, prenosi Jutarnji.

- Kineska cjepiva protiv omikrona još su neučinkovitija nego što su bila. Izazov za kineske vlasti bit će ponovno angažirati svoju populaciju da pristnanu na još jednu rundu cjepiva - rekao je Nicholas Thomas, izvanredni profesor na Gradskom sveučilištu u Hong Kongu koji je specijaliziran za kinesku vanjsku politiku i zdravstvenu sigurnost u Aziji.

Studija iz Hong Konga testirala je razine antitijela kod 25 ljudi koji su primili obje doze inaktiviranog cjepiva Sinovac i otkrila da nijedan sudionik nije imao dovoljno antitijela za neutralizaciju nove varijante.

Nasuprot tome, petero ljudi iz skupine od 25 osoba koje su dobile dvije doze cjepiva BioNTech/Pfizer imalo je detektabilna neutralizirajuća antitijela, a za koje su istraživači rekli da ima 'učinkovitost' između 20 i 24 posto protiv omikrona.

Višestruke laboratorijske studije pokazale su da novi soj narušava zaštitu antitijela koju pružaju dvije doze bilo kojeg cjepiva, a proteklog je tjedna Pfizer izvijestio da će tri doze njihovog cjepiva moći neutralizirati omikron.

Zasebne preliminarne studije sa Sveučilišta Oxford i Medicinskog sveučilišta u Innsbrucku otkrile su da mnoge osobe cijepljene s dvije doze AstraZenece nisu proizveli nikakva mjerljiva neutralizirajuća antitijela protiv omikrona.

Međutim, stručnjaci naglašavaju da će dvostruko cijepljeni i dalje zadržati određenu zaštitu od teškog oblika bolesti jer tu posreduju T i B limfociti, odnosno stanice stečene imunosti, a ne antitijela.

Kelvin To, jedan od istraživača sa sveučilišta, rekao je za Financial Times kako se još mora ustvrditi trebaju li oni koji su dva puta cijepljeni Sinovacom prijeći na drugo booster cjepivo.

Trenutno je u tijeku još jedna studija o utjecaju tri injekcije cjepiva Sinovac na omikron varijantu.

Očekuje se da će rezultati biti objavljeni sljedeći tjedan, a glasnogovornik Sinovca već je izvijestio kako su njihovi rezultati laboratorijskih testova pokazali da bi treća doza 'bila učinkovita u pokušaju neutralizacije omikrona'.

Ogroman broj zemalja diljem svijeta uključujući Tursku, Filipine i Indoneziju, ali i nama susjedne BiH i Srbiju, cijepile su svoje stanovnike cjepivom Sinovac.

Za sada Hong Kong koristi tzv. 'nultu covid strategiju' za sprječavanje infekcije te se nijedan slučaj omikrona, od devet zabilježenih, nije proširio u zajednicu.

Dvije doze kineskog cjepiva Sinovac nisu dovoljne da proizvedu dovoljno antitijela kako bi organizam zaštitile od nove varijante koronavirusa omikron, izvijestili su znanstvenici iz Hong Konga.

Nalazi studije koju je objavilo Sveučilište u Hong Kongu potaknuli su tjeskobu jer omikron raste u mnogim dijelovima svijeta, a novi je soj ponovno pokrenuo pitanje učinkovitosti kineskih cjepiva i sposobnosti Pekinga da drži virus pod kontrolom, prenosi Jutarnji.

- Kineska cjepiva protiv omikrona još su neučinkovitija nego što su bila. Izazov za kineske vlasti bit će ponovno angažirati svoju populaciju da pristnanu na još jednu rundu cjepiva - rekao je Nicholas Thomas, izvanredni profesor na Gradskom sveučilištu u Hong Kongu koji je specijaliziran za kinesku vanjsku politiku i zdravstve...
