Kako bi im pomogli da preokrenu situaciju u Donbasu, SAD, Velika Britanija i Njemačka, Ukrajincima šalju novu pošiljku moćnog oružja s naprednim sustavima za lansiranje raketa. Raketni sustavi koje će isporučiti Zapad omogućit će Ukrajini da udari u dubinu ruskih formacija, ciljajući njihovu logistiku, zapovjedna mjesta, te trupe koje se ukopavaju oko ukrajinskih gradova i rade utvrde.

Nakon što je Volodimir Zelenski obećao da njegovi vojnici neće gađati položaje u Rusiji, Amerikanci im šalju sustav HIMARS, ali s raketama koje imaju kraći domet do 70 kilometara, a ne one koje mogu gađati ciljeve do 300 kilometara. Njemačka će isporučiti protuzračni obrambeni sustav Iris-T te višestruki MLRS raketni sustav Mars II, a očekuje se i britanska pošiljka raketnog sustava M270B1 vođenog GPS-om, koji kao i američki HIMARS, stiže s raketama dometa do 70 kilometara. 

Amerikanci su dosad poslali deset paketa vojne pomoći, a u najnovijem jedanaestom, koji je odobrila Bijela kuća, uz višecijevni raketni sustav HIMARS, šalju i nove radare, 1000 komada protuoklopnih sustava Javelin te još 6.000 komada drugih protuoklopnih raketa kao i 15.000 granata kalibra 155 milimetara. Iz SAD-a stižu i još četiri helikoptera Mi-17 te 15 taktičkih vozila sa rezervnim dijelovima.

HIMARS je sa svojim GPS-om navođenim projektilima idealno oružje za udare na ruske artiljerijske položaje. Visokomobilni kamioni mogu ispaliti svojih šest raketa za manje od minute, a potom se brzo udaljiti s lokacije s koje su pucali kako bi izbjegli protuudare ruske raketne artiljerije, zrakoplova ili bespilotnih letjelica.

Samuel Cranny-Evans, vojni analitičar pri institutu Royal United Services think-tanka, smatra da bi nova pošiljka oružja mogla napraviti preokret na bojišnici, no to će u prvom redu ovisiti o sposobnosti Ukrajine da integrira sustave s postojećom strukturom vojnih snaga i njezinoj uspješnosti u lociranju ciljeva.

Očekuje se da će Ukrajinci najveći  dio novodobivenih raketnih sustava postaviti na bojišnici oko Hersona gdje su za vikend krenuli u protuofenzivu.

Kremlj je koncentrirao većinu svojih najboljih snaga za napad na Severodonjeck gdje prodiru sve dublje i dublje, ali su zbog toga su njihove formacije na južnom frontu postale ranjivije. Ovaj je vikend vojska Ukrajine iskoristila nizak vodostaj rijeke Ingulec i kod mjesta Davidiv Brid, sjeverno od Hersona, prešla na istočnu obalu koja je bila pod kontrolom ruskih okupatora. Na video snimkama s tog područja vidjelo se kako ruske položaje gađaju američkim haubicama M777.

Instituta za proučavanje rata (ISW) procijenio je da će, ako Rusija uspije zadržati snažan položaj u Hersonu, Rusi biti u vrlo snažnoj poziciji iz koje će pokrenuti buduću invaziju. No, ako Ukrajina povrati Herson, Kijev će biti u puno jačoj poziciji da se obrani od budućeg ruskog napada.

Za Ukrajince je Herson koji je prije rata imao 290.000 stanovnika u strateškom smislu značajniji od Severodonjecka. Herson je trostruko veći grad i važna morska luka sa značajnim gospodarskim potencijalom. Regija na jugu Ukrajine pod ruskom je kontrolom od početka invazije krajem veljače. Moskva Herson koristi kao strateško središte za svoje ofenzive diljem južne Ukrajine.

Ukrajina je započela rat sa sovjetskim topništvom dometa oko petnaestak kilometara, a topnička borbena moć im je porasla nakon nedavne američke pošiljke moćnih haubica M777. Ove haubice od 155 mm najdalekometnije su oružje među topovima za neizravnu paljbu, sposobne su gađati ciljeve udaljene i do 45 kilometara. To je, za razliku od sovjetskih topova približno istog kalibra (152 mm), gotovo trostruko veći domet. Haubice su u dobro uvježbanom artiljerijskom timu u stanju rigati vatru do pet puta u minuti, a mogu lansirati nenavođena, precizno vođena, visokoeksplozivna i osvjetljavajuća zrna. Rusija i dalje ima veću vatrenu moć od Ukrajine, ali analitičari kažu da je američki raketni sustav jednostavniji i brži za korištenje od većine sustava kojima Rusija raspolaže. Može se ponovno napuniti za samo pet minuta, umjesto za 20 do 40 minuta, i može pucati na mete koristeći GPS koordinate koje se relativno lako mogu odrediti dronom.

Kako bi im pomogli da preokrenu situaciju u Donbasu, SAD, Velika Britanija i Njemačka, Ukrajincima šalju novu pošiljku moćnog oružja s naprednim sustavima za lansiranje raketa. Raketni sustavi koje će isporučiti Zapad omogućit će Ukrajini da udari u dubinu ruskih formacija, ciljajući njihovu logistiku, zapovjedna mjesta, te trupe koje se ukopavaju oko ukrajinskih gradova i rade utvrde.

Nakon što je Volodimir Zelenski obećao da njegovi vojnici neće gađati položaje u Rusiji, Amerikanci im šalju sustav HIMARS, ali s raketama koje imaju kraći domet do 70 kilometara, a ne one koje mogu gađati ciljeve do 300 kilometara. Njemačka će isporučiti protuzračni obrambeni sustav Iris-T te višestruki MLRS raketni sustav Mars II, a očekuje se i britanska pošiljka raketnog sustava M270B1 vođenog GPS-om, koji kao i američki HIMARS, stiže s raketama dometa do 70 kilometara. 

Amerikanci su dosad poslali deset paketa vojne pomoći, a u najnovijem jedanaestom, koji je odobrila Bijela kuća, uz višecijevni raketni sustav HIMARS, šalju i nove radare, 1000 komada protuoklopnih sustava Javelin te još 6.000 komada drugih protuoklopnih raketa kao i 15.000 granata kalibra 155 milimetara. Iz SAD-a stižu i još četiri helikoptera Mi-17 te 15 taktičkih vozila sa rezervnim dijelovima.

HIMARS je sa svojim GPS-om navođenim projektilima idealno oružje za udare na ruske artiljerijske položaje. Visokomobilni kamioni mogu ispaliti svojih šest raketa za manje od minute, a potom se brzo udaljiti s lokacije s koje su pucali kako bi izbjegli protuudare ruske raketne artiljerije, zrakoplova ili bespilotnih letjelica.

Samuel Cranny-Evans, vojni analitičar pri institutu Royal United Services think-tanka, smatra da bi nova pošiljka oružja mogla napraviti preokret na bojišnici, no to će u prvom redu ovisiti o sposobnosti Ukrajine da integrira sustave s postojećom strukturom vojnih snaga i njezinoj uspješnosti u lociranju ciljeva.

Očekuje se da će Ukrajinci najveći  dio novodobivenih raketnih sustava postaviti na bojišnici oko Hersona gdje su za vikend krenuli u protuofenzivu.

Kremlj je koncentrirao većinu svojih najboljih snaga za napad na Severodonjeck gdje prodiru sve dublje i dublje, ali su zbog toga su njihove formacije na južnom frontu postale ranjivije. Ovaj je vikend vojska Ukrajine iskoristila nizak vodostaj rijeke Ingulec i kod mjesta Davidiv Brid, sjeverno od Hersona, prešla na istočnu obalu koja je bila pod kontrolom ruskih okupatora. Na video snimkama s tog područja vidjelo se kako ruske položaje gađaju američkim haubicama M777.

Instituta za proučavanje rata (ISW) procijenio je da će, ako Rusija uspije zadržati snažan položaj u Hersonu, Rusi biti u vrlo snažnoj poziciji iz koje će pokrenuti buduću invaziju. No, ako Ukrajina povrati Herson, Kijev će biti u puno jačoj poziciji da se obrani od budućeg ruskog napada.

Za Ukrajince je Herson koji je prije rata imao 290.000 stanovnika u strateškom smislu značajniji od Severodonjecka. Herson je trostruko veći grad i važna morska luka sa značajnim gospodarskim potencijalom. Regija na jugu Ukrajine pod ruskom je kontrolom od početka invazije krajem veljače. Moskva Herson koristi kao strateško središte za svoje ofenzive diljem južne Ukrajine.

Ukrajina je započela rat sa sovjetskim topništvom dometa oko petnaestak kilometara, a topnička borbena moć im je porasla nakon nedavne američke pošiljke moćnih haubica M777. Ove haubice od 155 mm najdalekometnije su oružje među topovima za neizravnu paljbu, sposobne su gađati ciljeve udaljene i do 45 kilometara. To je, za razliku od sovjetskih topova približno istog kalibra (152 mm), gotovo trostruko veći domet. Haubice su u dobro uvježbanom artiljerijskom timu u stanju rigati vatru do pet puta u minuti, a mogu lansirati nenavođena, precizno vođena, visokoeksplozivna i osvjetljavajuća zrna. Rusija i dalje ima veću vatrenu moć od Ukrajine, ali analitičari kažu da je američki raketni sustav jednostavniji i brži za korištenje od većine sustava kojima Rusija raspolaže. Može se ponovno napuniti za samo pet minuta, umjesto za 20 do 40 minuta, i može pucati na mete koristeći GPS koordinate koje se relativno lako mogu odrediti dronom.
