Najveći australski avioprijevoznik Qantas najavio je povratak “misterioznih letova” u pokušaju oživljavanja domaćeg turizma. Jednodnevna putovanja takvog tipa, u kojem putnici ne znaju gdje će završiti prilikom ukrcavanja u zrakoplov, bila su popularna u devedesetim godinama prošlog stoljeća, piše BBC.
Industrija zračnih prijevoznika posebno je teško pogođena pandemijom koronavirusa, tokom koje su brojne zemlje zatvorile svoje granice ili zabranile letove iz pojedinih država, dok je sve veći broj ljudi počeo izbjegavati putovanja i zrakoplove, u strahu da je lakše zaraziti se u zatvorenom prostoru aviona.
U pokušajima spašavanja industrije, koja diljem svijeta već ovisi o državnoj pomoći, aviokompanije okrenule su se sve kreativnijim ponudama kojima se nadaju povratiti barem dio putnika na svojim letovima.
Qantas je već među prvima ponudio i “letove do nigdje”, u kojima bi zrakoplovi sletjeli u istu zračnu luku s koje su poletjeli, nakon niskog preleta iznad poznatih australskih znamenitosti.
Zračni prijevoznici okupljeni u Udruženje azijskih i pacifičkih aviolinija (AAPA) objavili su ovaj tjedan brojke za siječanj, prema kojima su imali tek 4% putnika u odnosu na isti period prošle godine, kada je diljem regije letjelo 33.5 milijuna putnika.
Thai Airways najavio je kako će srezati broj zaposlenih na polovicu, otprilike 13.000 do 15.000 djelatnika, a rezovima bi trebali biti obuhvaćeni i brojni menadžeri i nadzornici, u sklopu radikalnog plana dugoročnog oporavka.
Quantas se, pak, nada da će letovima do nigdje i misterioznim letovima uspjeti prebroditi krizni period, a od vlade su zatražili garancije da ove godine više neće biti zatvaranja granica, s obzirom na početak kampanje cijepljenja.
Qantasovi misteriozni letovi kretat će zrakoplovima Boeing 737 iz Brisbanea, Melbournea ili Sydneyja, a cijena karte u najnižem razredu trebala bi biti od oko 4.600 kuna na više.

Najveći australski avioprijevoznik Qantas najavio je povratak “misterioznih letova” u pokušaju oživljavanja domaćeg turizma. Jednodnevna putovanja takvog tipa, u kojem putnici ne znaju gdje će završiti prilikom ukrcavanja u zrakoplov, bila su popularna u devedesetim godinama prošlog stoljeća, piše BBC.
Industrija zračnih prijevoznika posebno je teško pogođena pandemijom koronavirusa, tokom koje su brojne zemlje zatvorile svoje granice ili zabranile letove iz pojedinih država, dok je sve veći broj ljudi počeo izbjegavati putovanja i zrakoplove, u strahu da je lakše zaraziti se u zatvorenom prostoru aviona.
U pokušajima spašavanja industrije, koja diljem svijeta već ovisi o državnoj pomoći, aviokompanije okrenule su se sve kreativnijim ponudama kojima se nadaju povratiti barem dio putnika na svojim letovima.
Qantas je već među prvima ponudio i “letove do nigdje”, u kojima bi zrakoplovi sletjeli u istu zračnu luku s koje su poletjeli, nakon niskog preleta iznad poznatih australskih znamenitosti.
Zračni prijevoznici okupljeni u Udruženje azijskih i pacifičkih aviolinija (AAPA) objavili su ovaj tjedan brojke za siječanj, prema kojima su imali tek 4% putnika u odnosu na isti period prošle godine, kada je diljem regije letjelo 33.5 milijuna putnika.
Thai Airways najavio je kako će srezati broj zaposlenih na polovicu, otprilike 13.000 do 15.000 djelatnika, a rezovima bi trebali biti obuhvaćeni i brojni menadžeri i nadzornici, u sklopu radikalnog plana dugoročnog oporavka.
Quantas se, pak, nada da će letovima do nigdje i misterioznim letovima uspjeti prebroditi krizni period, a od vlade su zatražili garancije da ove godine više neće biti zatvaranja granica, s obzirom na početak kampanje cijepljenja.
Qantasovi misteriozni letovi kretat će zrakoplovima Boeing 737 iz Brisbanea, Melbournea ili Sydneyja, a cijena karte u najnižem razredu trebala bi biti od oko 4.600 kuna na više.
