Ukrajinci su prvi put podijeli snimku svojih snaga kako ispaljuju britanske rakete Brimstone ili Sumpor, koje se zbog svoje male mase i veličine mogu koristiti iz zrakoplova, helikoptera te kopnenih lansera na borbenim vozilima.

Njima se mogu gađati kopneni i morskih ciljevi, a prilikom slanja ovog vojnog raketnog paketa u Ukrajinu, Britanci su potvrdili da su raketni sustav prilagodili potrebama ukrajinske vojske i postavili ga na stražnju stranu borbenih vozila. Glavni cilj im je da odvrate ruske brodove i spriječe amfibijska iskrcavanja i druge desantne napada Putinove vojske na obalama Crnoga mora. Isječak koji je objavljen na Twitteru pokazuje probna kopnena lansiranja britanskog projektila, a sad se vidi i kako su 'sklepali' improvizirani lanser instaliran na stražnjem dijelu kamiona.

Okvir trostrukog Brimstone lansera koji se koristi u zrakoplovu montiran je na kamion, što je maksimalno pojednostavljen proces, napravljen očito u želji da se što prije izvrši isporuka, u najkraćemu mogućem vremenskom roku.

Vojni stručnjaci specijaliziranog portala  War Zone objašnjavaju kako je već viđena ovakva improvizacija koja se koristila prije u testiranju Brimstonea,odnosno njegove verzije Sea Spear s površinskim lansiranjem.

- Nakon najave isporuke Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva, bilo je neizvjesno hoće li sustavi Brimstone koji se šalju u Ukrajinu biti namijenjeni za protubrodske ili protuoklopne operacije, ili za oboje. Objavljeni video probnog ispaljivanja pokazuje da se ovako montiran može koristi za obje svrhe. Kamion se lako može odvesti na obalu za kratkoročne pomorske angažmane - ističu  analitičari portala War Zone.

Britanske zračne snage koristile su ove moćne projektile u Libiji i Siriji, a rakete imaju veći domet od nekih sustava koji su dosad isporučeni Ukrajini. Brimstone-1 ušao je u britansku vojnu službu 2005., a ažurirana verzija, Brimstone-2 2, koja je stigla u Ukrajinu, dodana je arsenalu RAF-a 2016. godine.

Brimstone 2 ima maksimalni domet od 40 milja, promjer od 180 mm i opremljen je bojnom glavom od 6,3 kg koja eksplodira u fazama. Može se prebacivati između laserskog navođenja i autonomnog ciljanja.

Njegov je sustav za navođenje dizajniran da bude sposoban za sve vremenske uvjete, danju i noću uz korištenje aktivnog radarskog tragača s milimetarskim valovima i poluaktivnim laserskim tražilom. Brimstone je sposoban za autonomno pronalaženje ciljeva nakon što dosegne određeno ciljno područje.

Prije nego što se pojavio ovaj zadnji video, na društvenim mrežama su prošli tjedan kružile fotografije ovog projektila što je dodatno potvrdilo da su rakete stigle u Ukrajinu i da se već rade probna i borbena lansiranja. U jednoj od tih objava navodi se da je jedna raketa u gotovo savršenom stanju pronađena neoštećena u blizini Zaporižja. Fotografiju su objavile ruske snage koje su tvrdile da im je u ruke pao potpuno netaknut projektil. Drugi tweet pak prikazuje pronalaženje prethodno detoniranog projektila u području Harkiva, no tu je nejasno je li lansiranje bilo uspješno ili nije.

Sustav Brimstone je u razvoju od studenog 1996. godine. Često se opisuje kao preinačena inačica projektila Hellfire, ali je u osnovi to potpuno novi projektil. Za razliku od Hellfirea, Brimstone ima masivnije i čvršće tijelo, milimetarski radar koji omogućava način djelovanja 'ispali i zaboravi', te novu dvodijelnu bojnu glavu namijenjenu uništavanju oklopnih vozila.

Tvrtka Boenig (koja s Lockheed Martinom proizvodi Hellfirea) osigurava neke podsustave projektila, dok je tvrtka MBDA zadužena za proizvodnju radara kao i za sastavljanje i završnu provjeru projektila.

Raketni sustavi kratkog dometa bili su ključni dio ukrajinskih obrambenih operacija prethodnih mjeseci, no sustavi koji se mogu postaviti na buggy i kamione postali su sad važniji. Ove improvizirane montaže ne samo što čine ove sustave znatno lakšim za manevriranje, nego im omogućuju i bolje skrivanje od neprijatelja i dužu sposobnost 'preživljavanja' na bojišnici. 

„Drugim riječima, Ukrajina sada ima jedno od najnaprednijih oružja koje je ikad preuzela i može ga rasporediti bilo gdje i na bilo koji način, ocjenjuju analitičari War Zone.

Brimstone je projektiran tako da istovremeno može djelovati do šest projektila na isto toliko zasebnih ciljeva. Istovremena uporaba više projektila dovela bi do situacije da dva ili više projektila pogode isti cilj. Sadašnji računarni programi omogućavaju da se, na primjer, tijekom gađanja više ciljeva u koloni prvi projektil usmjeri na prvo vozilo, drugi na drugo i tako redom do šestog. Za “razbacane” ciljeve rabi se tzv. “prostorna logika” koja određuje da projektil nakon lansiranja pretražuje određeni prostor te se usmjerava na otkriveni cilj. Veći se prostor može pokriti plotunom do šest projektila.

Radarsko je tražilo dovoljno precizno da može razlikovati “poželjne” (oklopna vozila i lansere) od “nepoželjnih” (civilna vozila) ciljeva.

Ukrajinci su prvi put podijeli snimku svojih snaga kako ispaljuju britanske rakete Brimstone ili Sumpor, koje se zbog svoje male mase i veličine mogu koristiti iz zrakoplova, helikoptera te kopnenih lansera na borbenim vozilima.

Njima se mogu gađati kopneni i morskih ciljevi, a prilikom slanja ovog vojnog raketnog paketa u Ukrajinu, Britanci su potvrdili da su raketni sustav prilagodili potrebama ukrajinske vojske i postavili ga na stražnju stranu borbenih vozila. Glavni cilj im je da odvrate ruske brodove i spriječe amfibijska iskrcavanja i druge desantne napada Putinove vojske na obalama Crnoga mora. Isječak koji je objavljen na Twitteru pokazuje probna kopnena lansiranja britanskog projektila, a sad se vidi i kako su 'sklepali' improvizirani lanser instaliran na stražnjem dijelu kamiona.

Okvir trostrukog Brimstone lansera koji se koristi u zrakoplovu montiran je na kamion, što je maksimalno pojednostavljen proces, napravljen očito u želji da se što prije izvrši isporuka, u najkraćemu mogućem vremenskom roku.

Vojni stručnjaci specijaliziranog portala  War Zone objašnjavaju kako je već viđena ovakva improvizacija koja se koristila prije u testiranju Brimstonea,odnosno njegove verzije Sea Spear s površinskim lansiranjem.

- Nakon najave isporuke Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva, bilo je neizvjesno hoće li sustavi Brimstone koji se šalju u Ukrajinu biti namijenjeni za protubrodske ili protuoklopne operacije, ili za oboje. Objavljeni video probnog ispaljivanja pokazuje da se ovako montiran može koristi za obje svrhe. Kamion se lako može odvesti na obalu za kratkoročne pomorske angažmane - ističu  analitičari portala War Zone.

Britanske zračne snage koristile su ove moćne projektile u Libiji i Siriji, a rakete imaju veći domet od nekih sustava koji su dosad isporučeni Ukrajini. Brimstone-1 ušao je u britansku vojnu službu 2005., a ažurirana verzija, Brimstone-2 2, koja je stigla u Ukrajinu, dodana je arsenalu RAF-a 2016. godine.

Brimstone 2 ima maksimalni domet od 40 milja, promjer od 180 mm i opremljen je bojnom glavom od 6,3 kg koja eksplodira u fazama. Može se prebacivati između laserskog navođenja i autonomnog ciljanja.

Njegov je sustav za navođenje dizajniran da bude sposoban za sve vremenske uvjete, danju i noću uz korištenje aktivnog radarskog tragača s milimetarskim valovima i poluaktivnim laserskim tražilom. Brimstone je sposoban za autonomno pronalaženje ciljeva nakon što dosegne određeno ciljno područje.

Prije nego što se pojavio ovaj zadnji video, na društvenim mrežama su prošli tjedan kružile fotografije ovog projektila što je dodatno potvrdilo da su rakete stigle u Ukrajinu i da se već rade probna i borbena lansiranja. U jednoj od tih objava navodi se da je jedna raketa u gotovo savršenom stanju pronađena neoštećena u blizini Zaporižja. Fotografiju su objavile ruske snage koje su tvrdile da im je u ruke pao potpuno netaknut projektil. Drugi tweet pak prikazuje pronalaženje prethodno detoniranog projektila u području Harkiva, no tu je nejasno je li lansiranje bilo uspješno ili nije.

Sustav Brimstone je u razvoju od studenog 1996. godine. Često se opisuje kao preinačena inačica projektila Hellfire, ali je u osnovi to potpuno novi projektil. Za razliku od Hellfirea, Brimstone ima masivnije i čvršće tijelo, milimetarski radar koji omogućava način djelovanja 'ispali i zaboravi', te novu dvodijelnu bojnu glavu namijenjenu uništavanju oklopnih vozila.

Tvrtka Boenig (koja s Lockheed Martinom proizvodi Hellfirea) osigurava neke podsustave projektila, dok je tvrtka MBDA zadužena za proizvodnju radara kao i za sastavljanje i završnu provjeru projektila.

Raketni sustavi kratkog dometa bili su ključni dio ukrajinskih obrambenih operacija prethodnih mjeseci, no sustavi koji se mogu postaviti na buggy i kamione postali su sad važniji. Ove improvizirane montaže ne samo što čine ove sustave znatno lakšim za manevriranje, nego im omogućuju i bolje skrivanje od neprijatelja i dužu sposobnost 'preživljavanja' na bojišnici. 

„Drugim riječima, Ukrajina sada ima jedno od najnaprednijih oružja koje je ikad preuzela i može ga rasporediti bilo gdje i na bilo koji način, ocjenjuju analitičari War Zone.

Brimstone je projektiran tako da istovremeno može djelovati do šest projektila na isto toliko zasebnih ciljeva. Istovremena uporaba više projektila dovela bi do situacije da dva ili više projektila pogode isti cilj. Sadašnji računarni programi omogućavaju da se, na primjer, tijekom gađanja više ciljeva u koloni prvi projektil usmjeri na prvo vozilo, drugi na drugo i tako redom do šestog. Za “razbacane” ciljeve rabi se tzv. “prostorna logika” koja određuje da projektil nakon lansiranja pretražuje određeni prostor te se usmjerava na otkriveni cilj. Veći se prostor može pokriti plotunom do šest projektila.

Radarsko je tražilo dovoljno precizno da može razlikovati “poželjne” (oklopna vozila i lansere) od “nepoželjnih” (civilna vozila) ciljeva.
