Obilne kiše koje su danima padale u sjevernim i središnjim predjelima Novog Zelanda u subotu su oslabile, ali tamošnji stanovnici su bili prisiljeni napustiti više stotina domova. 

Grad Nelson, na novozelandskom Južnom otoku, najteže je pogođen. Stanovnici iz nekoliko stotina kuća su evakuirani, a neki od njihovih domova su proglašeni neprikladnim za život zbog obilnih padalina.

Snažna kiša nije zaobišla ni Sjeverni otok, na kojem su neki gradovi odjsečeni, ceste poplavljene, a ljudi bili prisiljeni napustiti svoje domove. Tijekom prošle noći je provedeno još oko stotinu novih evakuacija.

U cijelom području oko Nelsona ljudi su evakuirani iz ukupno 508 kuća.

Meteorolozi su u subotu zabilježili slabljenje padalina u sjevernom i središnjem dijelu Novog Zelanda te su uklonjena upozorenja koja su do tada vrijedila.

Upozorenja za snažnu kišu još uvijek su na snazi za južni i jugozapadni dio Južnog otoka.

Komentirajući ovu prirodnu katastrofu, britanski princ William i njegova supruga Kate su u subotu izjavili da su pogođeni Novozelanđani u njihovim mislima.

"Šteta koju su napravile poplave na Novom Zelandu je podsjetnik na to kakav je ogroman napor potreban svima nama da bismo zaštitili našu planetu", objavio je britanski kraljevski par putem Twittera.

Obilne kiše koje su danima padale u sjevernim i središnjim predjelima Novog Zelanda u subotu su oslabile, ali tamošnji stanovnici su bili prisiljeni napustiti više stotina domova. 

Grad Nelson, na novozelandskom Južnom otoku, najteže je pogođen. Stanovnici iz nekoliko stotina kuća su evakuirani, a neki od njihovih domova su proglašeni neprikladnim za život zbog obilnih padalina.

Snažna kiša nije zaobišla ni Sjeverni otok, na kojem su neki gradovi odjsečeni, ceste poplavljene, a ljudi bili prisiljeni napustiti svoje domove. Tijekom prošle noći je provedeno još oko stotinu novih evakuacija.

U cijelom području oko Nelsona ljudi su evakuirani iz ukupno 508 kuća.

Meteorolozi su u subotu zabilježili slabljenje padalina u sjevernom i središnjem dijelu Novog Zelanda te su uklonjena upozorenja koja su do tada vrijedila.

Upozorenja za snažnu kišu još uvijek su na snazi za južni i jugozapadni dio Južnog otoka.

Komentirajući ovu prirodnu katastrofu, britanski princ William i njegova supruga Kate su u subotu izjavili da su pogođeni Novozelanđani u njihovim mislima.

"Šteta koju su napravile poplave na Novom Zelandu je podsjetnik na to kakav je ogroman napor potreban svima nama da bismo zaštitili našu planetu", objavio je britanski kraljevski par putem Twittera.

Obilne kiše natjerale tisuće Novozelanđana da napuste svoje domove, upozorenja su još uvijek na snazi

Obilne kiše koje su danima padale u sjevernim i središnjim predjelima Novog Zelanda u subotu su oslabile, ali tamošnji stanovnici su bili prisiljeni napustiti više stotina domova. 

Grad Nelson, na novozelandskom Južnom otoku, najteže je pogođen. Stanovnici iz nekoliko stotina kuća su evakuirani, a neki od njihovih domova su proglašeni neprikladnim za život zbog obilnih padalina.

Snažna kiša nije zaobišla ni Sjeverni otok, na kojem su neki gradovi odjsečeni, ceste poplavljene, a ljudi bili prisiljeni napustiti svoje domove. Tijekom prošle noći je provedeno još oko stotinu novih evakuacija.

U cijelom području oko Nelsona ljudi su evakuirani iz ukupno 508 kuća.
