Naslovna fotografija prikazuje šokantan trenutak kada je u nedjelju grom pogodio avion koji je prevozio 400 ljudi koji su letjeli iz Vancouvera za London. Air Canada Boeing 777 pogođen je nedugo nakon polijetanja.

Incident, koji je promatrač snimio videom, nije rezultirao nikakvim žrtvama, a zrakoplov je mogao nastaviti let i sletjeti prema planu na londonski Heathrow. Avion je poletio samo nekoliko trenutaka ranije, ali je već bio visoko na nebu.

Video koji oduzima dah snimio je zrakoplovni entuzijast Ethan West koji se školuje za pilota. Munja je udarila u avion i nastavila prema tlu. Grom nije omeo let aviona, piše Daily Mail.

Prema Executive Flyersu, moderni zrakoplovi izgrađeni su od ugljičnog kompozita koji je prekriven tankim slojem bakra koji provodi električnu energiju oko zrakoplova i ne dopušta joj da uđe. Putnici bi mogli vidjeti bljesak munje ili zvuk groma ako munja pogodi njihov zrakoplov, ali ne bi bili u opasnosti i ne bi se osjećali kao da su pogođeni.

Air Canada je rekao da je zrakoplov pregledan po dolasku u londonsku zračnu luku Heathrow kako bi se osiguralo da nikakva oštećenja ne utječu na sigurnost leta.

Prema Nacionalnoj meteorološkoj službi, američkoj meteorološkoj agenciji, svaki avion udari munja u prosjeku jednom ili dva puta godišnje. Ovo se može činiti kao ogroman iznos s obzirom na naizgled male šanse da se dva entiteta koji se kreću tako velikim brzinama nađu na potpuno istoj točki u točno isto vrijeme. Komercijalni putnički zrakoplovi putuju brzinom od oko 800 kilometara na sat. Munja putuje brzinom od gotovo 1100 milijuna kilometara na sat.

Međutim, smatra se da sama činjenica da je avion na nebu privlači munje dok ona pokušava pronaći svoj najbrži put do čvrstog objekta. Većina udara munje događa se na temperaturama blizu smrzavanja na velikim nadmorskim visinama ili tijekom turbulencije, a razlikuju se ovisno o lokaciji.

Više od polovice udara munja u zrakoplove događa se između ožujka i srpnja, a najčešći su kada zrakoplov prolazi kroz oblake dok se penje ili spušta.

Temperatura munje je gotovo 30.000 Celzijusa, što je tri puta toplije od površine sunca.

Unatoč tome što su rijetke, bilo je devet zabilježenih avionskih nesreća koje se pripisuju munjama. Sedam od ovih srušenih zrakoplova bili su komercijalni zrakoplovi, a druga dva vojni. Većina tih nesreća uključivala je let zrakoplova na malim visinama tijekom uspinjanja ili spuštanja. Najgora od ovih nesreća bila je LANSA let 508 iz 1971., u kojoj je poginula 91 od 92 osobe u avionu.

Naslovna fotografija prikazuje šokantan trenutak kada je u nedjelju grom pogodio avion koji je prevozio 400 ljudi koji su letjeli iz Vancouvera za London. Air Canada Boeing 777 pogođen je nedugo nakon polijetanja.

Incident, koji je promatrač snimio videom, nije rezultirao nikakvim žrtvama, a zrakoplov je mogao nastaviti let i sletjeti prema planu na londonski Heathrow. Avion je poletio samo nekoliko trenutaka ranije, ali je već bio visoko na nebu.

Video koji oduzima dah snimio je zrakoplovni entuzijast Ethan West koji se školuje za pilota. Munja je udarila u avion i nastavila prema tlu. Grom nije omeo let aviona, piše Daily Mail.

Prema Executive Flyersu, moderni zrakoplovi izgrađeni su od ugljičnog kompozita koji je prekriven tankim slojem bakra koji provodi električnu energiju oko zrakoplova i ne dopušta joj da uđe. Putnici bi mogli vidjeti bljesak munje ili zvuk groma ako munja pogodi njihov zrakoplov, ali ne bi bili u opasnosti i ne bi se osjećali kao da su pogođeni.

Air Canada je rekao da je zrakoplov pregledan po dolasku u londonsku zračnu luku Heathrow kako bi se osiguralo da nikakva oštećenja ne utječu na sigurnost leta.

Komercijalni putnički zrakoplovi putuju brzinom od oko 800 kilometara na sat. Munja putuje brzinom od gotovo 1100 milijuna kilometara na sat.

Međutim, smatra se da sama činjenica da je avion na nebu privlači munje dok ona pokušava pronaći svoj najbrži put do čvrstog objekta. Većina udara munje događa se na temperaturama blizu smrzavanja na velikim nadmorskim visinama ili tijekom turbulencije, a razlikuju se ovisno o lokaciji.

Više od polovice udara munja u zrakoplove događa se između ožujka i srpnja, a najčešći su kada zrakoplov prolazi kroz oblake dok se penje ili spušta.

Temperatura munje je gotovo 30.000 Celzijusa, što je tri puta toplije od površine sunca.

Unatoč tome što su rijetke, bilo je devet zabilježenih avionskih nesreća koje se pripisuju munjama. Sedam od ovih srušenih zrakoplova bili su komercijalni zrakoplovi, a druga dva vojni. Većina tih nesreća uključivala je let zrakoplova na malim visinama tijekom uspinjanja ili spuštanja. Najgora od ovih nesreća bila je LANSA let 508 iz 1971., u kojoj je poginula 91 od 92 osobe u avionu.

Naslovna fotografija prikazuje šokantan trenutak kada je u nedjelju grom pogodio avion koji je prevozio 400 ljudi koji su letjeli iz Vancouvera za London. Air Canada Boeing 777 pogođen je nedugo nakon polijetanja.

Incident, koji je promatrač snimio videom, nije rezultirao nikakvim žrtvama, a zrakoplov je mogao nastaviti let i sletjeti prema planu na londonski Heathrow. Avion je poletio samo nekoliko trenutaka ranije, ali je već bio visoko na nebu.

Video koji oduzima dah snimio je zrakoplovni entuzijast Ethan West koji se školuje za pilota. Munja je udarila u avion i nastavila prema tlu. Grom nije omeo let aviona, piše Daily Mail.

Prema Executive Flyersu, moderni zrakoplovi izgrađeni su od ugljičnog kompozita koji je prekriven tankim slojem bakra koji provodi električnu energiju oko zrakoplova i ne dopušta joj da uđe. Putnici bi mogli vidjeti bljesak munje ili zvuk groma ako munja pogodi njihov zrakoplov, ali ne bi bili u opasnosti i ne bi se osjećali kao da su pogođeni.

Air Canada je rekao da je zrakoplov pregledan po dolasku u londonsku zračnu luku Heathrow kako bi se osiguralo da nikakva oštećenja ne utječu na sigurnost leta.
