Nakon što su Britanija i Francuska jedna drugu okrivile za smrt 27 migranata u La Mancheu, papa Franjo je u nedjelju pozvao vlasti da "poštuju ljudskost" migranata i da im pomognu.

"Razmislimo koliko je migranata ovih dana izloženo ozbiljnim opasnostima i koliko ih umire na našim granicama", rekao je Papa na nedjeljnoj misi pred nekoliko tusuća ljudi okupljenih na Trgu sv. Petra.

Sveti otac je kazao da osjeća bol kada čuje vijesti o onima koji su se utopili u La Mancheu ili u Sredozemnom moru, kao i onima koji umiru na bjeloruskoj granici, uključujući djecu.

Papa Franjo, u čijem ponitifikatu pitanje migranata zauzima važno mjesto, također je osudio trgovce ljudima i upozorio da su migranti koji su vraćeni u sjevernu Afriku svedeni na ropsto, žene se prodaju a muškarce se muči.

Britanski premijer Boris Johnson izjavio je u srijedu da je "šokiran, revoltiran i duboko ožalošćen" smrću 27 migranata u kanalu La Manche te je pozvao Francusku da učini više kako bi odbila ljude od pokušaja prelaska kanala.

Francuski predsjednik Emmanuel Macron je Velikoj Britaniji pak poručio da se mora "uozbiljiti” ili će ostati isključena iz razgovora o suzbijanju priljeva migranata preko La Manchea.

Francuska je ranije otkazala poziv britanskoj ministrici unutarnjih poslova Priti Patel na sastanak o situaciji u Calaisu, naglašavajući kako su odnosi između dviju zemalja postali zabrinjavajući.

Nakon što su Britanija i Francuska jedna drugu okrivile za smrt 27 migranata u La Mancheu, papa Franjo je u nedjelju pozvao vlasti da "poštuju ljudskost" migranata i da im pomognu.

"Razmislimo koliko je migranata ovih dana izloženo ozbiljnim opasnostima i koliko ih umire na našim granicama", rekao je Papa na nedjeljnoj misi pred nekoliko tusuća ljudi okupljenih na Trgu sv. Petra.

Sveti otac je kazao da osjeća bol kada čuje vijesti o onima koji su se utopili u La Mancheu ili u Sredozemnom moru, kao i onima koji umiru na bjeloruskoj granici, uključujući djecu.

Papa Franjo, u čijem ponitifikatu pitanje migranata zauzima važno mjesto, također je osudio trgovce ljudima i upozorio da su migranti koji su vraćeni u sjevernu Afriku svedeni na ropsto, žene se prodaju a muškarce se muči.

Britanski premijer Boris Johnson izjavio je u srijedu da je "šokiran, revoltiran i duboko ožalošćen" smrću 27 migranata u kanalu La Manche te je pozvao Francusku da učini više kako bi odbila ljude od pokušaja prelaska kanala.

Francuski predsjednik Emmanuel Macron je Velikoj Britaniji pak poručio da se mora "uozbiljiti” ili će ostati isključena iz razgovora o suzbijanju priljeva migranata preko La Manchea.

Francuska je ranije otkazala poziv britanskoj ministrici unutarnjih poslova Priti Patel na sastanak o situaciji u Calaisu, naglašavajući kako su odnosi između dviju zemalja postali zabrinjavajući.

Nakon što su Britanija i Francuska jedna drugu okrivile za smrt 27 migranata u La Mancheu, papa Franjo je u nedjelju pozvao vlasti da "poštuju ljudskost" migranata i da im pomognu.

"Razmislimo koliko je migranata ovih dana izloženo ozbiljnim opasnostima i koliko ih umire na našim granicama", rekao je Papa na nedjeljnoj misi pred nekoliko tusuća ljudi okupljenih na Trgu sv. Petra.

Sveti otac je kazao da osjeća bol kada čuje vijesti o onima koji su se utopili u La Mancheu ili u Sredozemnom moru, kao i onima koji umiru na bjeloruskoj granici, uključujući djecu.

Papa Franjo, u čijem ponitifikatu pitanje migranata zauzima važno mjesto, također je osudio trgovce ljudima i upozorio da su migranti koji su vraćeni u sjevernu Afriku svedeni na ropsto, žene se prodaju a muškarce se...
