Kod trudnica koje se zaraze koronavirusom, u drugom dijelu trudnoće u iznimnim slučajevima može doći do životne ugroze nerođenog djeteta. Pokazuje to kliničko istraživanje koje je provedeno u Nizozemskoj, gdje su ginekolozi iz Sveučilišnog medicinskog centra Erasmus u Rotterdamu analizirali 36 posteljica nizozemskih trudnica.
Pet posteljica od majki zaraženih Covidom pokazalo je veliku kombinaciju abnormalnosti. Posteljice su bile pune upalnih stanica i oštećene, te je bio spriječen prijenos hranjivih tvari i kisika od majke do djeteta.
Zanimljivo je da su majke u većini slučajeva imale samo blage simptome korone, kao što je bilo kihanje i curenje nosa.
Nalazi su potaknuli liječnike da provedu daljnju analizu oštećenih posteljica u još slučajeva mrtvorođenih beba u nizozemskom Randstadu za koje nisu imali dobro objašnjenje zašto je došlo do smrti.
Naknadnom analizom utvrdili da je najmanje 13 mrtvorođenih beba od srpnja ove godine preminulo zbog oštećenja na majčinoj posteljici uslijed zaraze koronavirusom.
- To je jako velik broj - zabrinuto je izjavio ginekolog Sam Shoenmakers za nizozemski Volkskrant.
Kazao je kako ne postoji druga zarazna bolest koja je uzrokovala toliko smrti nerođenih beba u tako kratkom vremenskom razdoblju u Nizozemskoj.
- U svim slučajevima, koronavirus je pronađen u stanicama posteljice. Niz žena uopće nije znalo da su imala virus jer nije bilo vidljivih simptoma. To se kasnije pokazalo njihovim testom na antitijela. Ovo je potrebno dodatno istražiti. Sada se čini da kada koronavirus uđe u krvotok iz pluća, može doći do infekcije u posteljici majke – navodi dr. Schoenmakers.
Problemi s posteljicom povezani s virusom također su zabilježeni i u drugim državama, no dok se ne provede još istraživanja, teško je ocijeniti koliki rizik je u pitanju.
Liječnici iz Španjolske, Velike Britanije i SAD-a također izvještavaju o upali posteljice kao rezultatu koronavirusa, no radi se o niskim brojkama. U SAD-u je analizirao 1,2 milijuna poroda između ožujka 2020. i rujna 2021. Od zdravih trudnica bez Covida, njih 0,65 posto imalo je nesreću s mrtvorođenčetom, dok je u slučaju trudnica s koronavirusom taj broj bio dvostruko veći, no i dalje nizak u ukupnoj statistici i izbosi 1,26 posto.
No, u tu brojku nisu uključeni slučajevi o kojima govore nizozemski liječnici, o majkama koje su tek naknadno analizom antitijela shvatile da su preboljele koronu u trudnoći, a da to nisu znale jer nisu imale simptoma.
- Budući da je istraživanje upale posteljice još u ranoj fazi, još je prerano za davanje bilo kakvih izjava o riziku od ovog rijetkog stanja, komentirali su ginekolozi Kitty Bloemenkamp (UMC Utrecht), Wessel Ganzevoort (UMC Amsterdam) i Sanne Gordijn (UMC Groningen), koji savjetuju trudnicama cijepljenje protiv Covida-19.

Istraživanje koje su proveli američki znanstvenici ukazuju da je stopa zaraze koronavirusom među trudnicama viša u usporedbi s ostalim odraslim osobama slične starosne dobi.
U vremenu između ožujka i lipnja u američkoj državi Washington je na svakih 1000 trudnica evidentirano 14 slučajeva COVID-19, u usporedbi sa 7 slučajeva na svakih 1000 ostalih odraslih osoba u dobi od 20 do 39 godina, među kojima ispitanice nisu bile trudne. Iz podataka prikupljenih u državi Washington zaključeno je kako je stopa zaraze Covidom među trudnicama bila 70 posto viša nego među ostalim odraslim ispitanicima, ističe se znanstvenom časopisu American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Kod trudnica koje se zaraze koronavirusom, u drugom dijelu trudnoće u iznimnim slučajevima može doći do životne ugroze nerođenog djeteta. Pokazuje to kliničko istraživanje koje je provedeno u Nizozemskoj, gdje su ginekolozi iz Sveučilišnog medicinskog centra Erasmus u Rotterdamu analizirali 36 posteljica nizozemskih trudnica.
Pet posteljica od majki zaraženih Covidom pokazalo je veliku kombinaciju abnormalnosti. Posteljice su bile pune upalnih stanica i oštećene, te je bio spriječen prijenos hranjivih tvari i kisika od majke do djeteta.
Zanimljivo je da su majke u većini slučajeva imale samo blage simptome korone, kao što je bilo kihanje i curenje nosa.
Nalazi su potaknuli liječnike da provedu daljnju analizu oštećenih posteljica u još slučajeva mrtvorođenih beba u nizozemskom Randstadu za koje nisu imali dobro objašnjenje zašto je došlo do smrti.
Naknadnom analizom utvrdili da je najmanje 13 mrtvorođenih beba od srpnja ove godine preminulo zbog oštećenja na majčinoj posteljici uslijed zaraze koronavirusom.
- To je jako velik broj - zabrinuto je izjavio ginekolog Sam Shoenmakers za nizozemski Volkskrant.
Kazao je kako ne postoji druga zarazna bolest koja je uzrokovala toliko smrti nerođenih beba u tako kratkom vremenskom razdoblju u Nizozemskoj.
- U svim slučajevima, koronavirus je pronađen u stanicama posteljice. Niz žena uopće nije znalo da su imala virus jer nije bilo vidljivih simptoma. To se kasnije pokazalo njihovim testom na antitijela. Ovo je potrebno dodatno istražiti. Sada se čini da kada koronavirus uđe u krvotok iz pluća, može doći do infekcije u posteljici majke – navodi dr. Schoenmakers.
Problemi s posteljicom povezani s virusom također su zabilježeni i u drugim državama, no dok se ne provede još istraživanja, teško je ocijeniti koliki rizik je u pitanju.
Liječnici iz Španjolske, Velike Britanije i SAD-a također izvještavaju o upali posteljice kao rezultatu koronavirusa, no radi se o niskim brojkama. U SAD-u je analizirao 1,2 milijuna poroda između ožujka 2020. i rujna 2021. Od zdravih trudnica bez Covida, njih 0,65 posto imalo je nesreću s mrtvorođenčetom, dok je u slučaju trudnica s koronavirusom taj broj bio dvostruko veći, no i dalje nizak u ukupnoj statistici i izbosi 1,26 posto.
No, u tu brojku nisu uključeni slučajevi o kojima govore nizozemski liječnici, o majkama koje su tek naknadno analizom antitijela shvatile da su preboljele koronu u trudnoći, a da to nisu znale jer nisu imale simptoma.
- Budući da je istraživanje upale posteljice još u ranoj fazi, još je prerano za davanje bilo kakvih izjava o riziku od ovog rijetkog stanja, komentirali su ginekolozi Kitty Bloemenkamp (UMC Utrecht), Wessel Ganzevoort (UMC Amsterdam) i Sanne Gordijn (UMC Groningen), koji savjetuju trudnicama cijepljenje protiv Covida-19.

Istraživanje koje su proveli američki znanstvenici ukazuju da je stopa zaraze koronavirusom među trudnicama viša u usporedbi s ostalim odraslim osobama slične starosne dobi.
U vremenu između ožujka i lipnja u američkoj državi Washington je na svakih 1000 trudnica evidentirano 14 slučajeva COVID-19, u usporedbi sa 7 slučajeva na svakih 1000 ostalih odraslih osoba u dobi od 20 do 39 godina, među kojima ispitanice nisu bile trudne. Iz podataka prikupljenih u državi Washington zaključeno je kako je stopa zaraze Covidom među trudnicama bila 70 posto viša nego među ostalim odraslim ispitanicima, ističe se znanstvenom časopisu American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
