Korisnici brzih antigenskih testova za otkrivanje covida-19 trebali bi uzeti bris iz nosnica u skladu s uputama proizvođača, ali ne nužno i bris grla ili bris unutarnjeg dijela usne šupljine, pokazalo je novo istraživanje.
S obzirom na to da je omikron trenutačno odgovoran za gotovo sve slučajeve zaraze koronavirusom u San Franciscu, tamošnji su istraživači početkom siječnja obavili PCR testiranje i paralelno brzi antigenski test tvrtke Abbott na 731 osobi koja je zatražila testiranje na covid-19.
Samo u nazalnome brisu "otkrivena je najviša količina virusa u 95 posto testiranih", rekla je dr. Diane Havlir sa Sveučilišta Kalifornija u San Franciscu.
U 115 dobrovoljaca s pozitivnim PCR testom, članovi njezina tima usporedili su te rezultate s rezultatima Abbottova brzog antigenskog testa, koristeći uzorke brisa iz nosnica i grla koje su obavili za to obučeni stručnjaci.
U uzorcima brisova grla otkrili su gotovo 40 posto manje pozitivnih nalaza testa na covid nego u brisevima iz nosa, objavili su na internetskoj stranici medRxiv o svojim opažanjima koja još trebaju proći stručnu recenziju.
I odvojeno istraživanje provedeno u Španjolskoj, čiji su rezultati također objavljeni na medRxivu, pokazalo je da je bris uzet iz unutarnjeg dijela usne šupljine daleko manje pouzdan od brisa nosnica kada je posrijedi otkrivanje ovog vrlo zaraznog soja.
Nedavne su studije upućivale na to da se omikron može ranije otkriti iz brisa grla nego iz nosnica, zbog čega su neki stručnjaci savjetovali da se obave oba brisa.
Američka Uprava za hranu i lijekove (FDA) savjetuje da se testovi koriste prema uputama.
"Naša saznanja idu u prilog korištenju Abbottovih testova iz nazalnih briseva prema uputama na pakiranju", rekla je Havlir. "Ponovni brzi antigentski test preporučuje se za one koji su negativni na brzome Abbottovom testu i osobama koje imaju simptome ili su bile u kontaktu sa zaraženom osobom".

Korisnici brzih antigenskih testova za otkrivanje covida-19 trebali bi uzeti bris iz nosnica u skladu s uputama proizvođača, ali ne nužno i bris grla ili bris unutarnjeg dijela usne šupljine, pokazalo je novo istraživanje.
S obzirom na to da je omikron trenutačno odgovoran za gotovo sve slučajeve zaraze koronavirusom u San Franciscu, tamošnji su istraživači početkom siječnja obavili PCR testiranje i paralelno brzi antigenski test tvrtke Abbott na 731 osobi koja je zatražila testiranje na covid-19.
Samo u nazalnome brisu "otkrivena je najviša količina virusa u 95 posto testiranih", rekla je dr. Diane Havlir sa Sveučilišta Kalifornija u San Franciscu.
U 115 dobrovoljaca s pozitivnim PCR testom, članovi njezina tima usporedili su te rezultate s rezultatima Abbottova brzog antigenskog testa, koristeći uzorke brisa iz nosnica i grla koje su obavili za to obučeni stručnjaci.
U uzorcima brisova grla otkrili su gotovo 40 posto manje pozitivnih nalaza testa na covid nego u brisevima iz nosa, objavili su na internetskoj stranici medRxiv o svojim opažanjima koja još trebaju proći stručnu recenziju.
I odvojeno istraživanje provedeno u Španjolskoj, čiji su rezultati također objavljeni na medRxivu, pokazalo je da je bris uzet iz unutarnjeg dijela usne šupljine daleko manje pouzdan od brisa nosnica kada je posrijedi otkrivanje ovog vrlo zaraznog soja.
Nedavne su studije upućivale na to da se omikron može ranije otkriti iz brisa grla nego iz nosnica, zbog čega su neki stručnjaci savjetovali da se obave oba brisa.
Američka Uprava za hranu i lijekove (FDA) savjetuje da se testovi koriste prema uputama.
"Naša saznanja idu u prilog korištenju Abbottovih testova iz nazalnih briseva prema uputama na pakiranju", rekla je Havlir. "Ponovni brzi antigentski test preporučuje se za one koji su negativni na brzome Abbottovom testu i osobama koje imaju simptome ili su bile u kontaktu sa zaraženom osobom".
