Do sada imamo potvrđene dokaze da u brojnim jamama diljem Slovenije počivaju tisuće Hrvata, ubijenih u prvim mjesecima nakon završetka Drugog svjetskog rata u organizaciji tadašnjih vlasti komunističkoga režima. Istraživanja ovih jama (do sada ih je evidentirano 670) još traju.
Nedavno su počela sondiranja tenkovskog jarka kod sela Mostec, između Brežica i Dobove, nedaleko od granice s Hrvatskom, a ovog je vikenda potvrđeno da je na mjestu o kojem se govorilo među ljudima toga kraja doista veliki broj žrtava.
Pretpostavlja da je riječ o nekoliko tisuća hrvatskih vojnika, slovenskih domobrana i civila. Voditelj vladine službe za istraživanje ratnih groblja Marko Štrovs je nakon prvoga sondiranja rekao da su već prvi nalazi potvrdili pretpostavke i svjedočenja.
U svjedočenjima prikupljenim od parlamentarnog povjerenstva, zabilježene su izjave očevidaca da su žrtve dovozili kamionima iz Celja i vlakovima iz Zagreba od druge polovice svibnja do rujna 1945. godine.
Jedan od svjedoka kod sela Mostec nam je rekao: “Žrtve su dovozili i ubijali po noći. Mi smo samo čuli pucnjeve. Tuda je bio put kojim smo išli do naše crkve, ali vlast nam je zabranila prolaziti pored tih polja. Kasnije, kada su te jame zatrpali, oralo se i sijalo, ali dugo vremena se zemlja slijegala. Svi su znali zašto...”, kazao je Pavel Supančič.
Prema ocjeni Štrovsa u ovom grobištu najviše je upravo hrvatskih žrtava.
“Nije još odlučeno hoćemo li utvrđivati identitet umorenih žrtava, ali zasigurno će ovo mjesto biti uređeno u spomen-groblje”, poručio je.
Istraživanja će se nastaviti ovoga tjedna. Inače su nađeni i ostaci telefonskih žica kojima su zarobljenici bili vezani. Dokazano je i da u jamama nisu bili samo vojnici jer su pronađene - dječje kosti i zubne proteze.

Do sada imamo potvrđene dokaze da u brojnim jamama diljem Slovenije počivaju tisuće Hrvata, ubijenih u prvim mjesecima nakon završetka Drugog svjetskog rata u organizaciji tadašnjih vlasti komunističkoga režima. Istraživanja ovih jama (do sada ih je evidentirano 670) još traju.
Nedavno su počela sondiranja tenkovskog jarka kod sela Mostec, između Brežica i Dobove, nedaleko od granice s Hrvatskom, a ovog je vikenda potvrđeno da je na mjestu o kojem se govorilo među ljudima toga kraja doista veliki broj žrtava.
Pretpostavlja da je riječ o nekoliko tisuća hrvatskih vojnika, slovenskih domobrana i civila. Voditelj vladine službe za istraživanje ratnih groblja Marko Štrovs je nakon prvoga sondiranja rekao da su već prvi nalazi potvrdili pretpostavke i svjedočenja.
U svjedočenjima prikupljenim od parlamentarnog povjerenstva, zabilježene su izjave očevidaca da su žrtve dovozili kamionima iz Celja i vlakovima iz Zagreba od druge polovice svibnja do rujna 1945. godine.
Jedan od svjedoka kod sela Mostec nam je rekao: “Žrtve su dovozili i ubijali po noći. Mi smo samo čuli pucnjeve. Tuda je bio put kojim smo išli do naše crkve, ali vlast nam je zabranila prolaziti pored tih polja. Kasnije, kada su te jame zatrpali, oralo se i sijalo, ali dugo vremena se zemlja slijegala. Svi su znali zašto...”, kazao je Pavel Supančič.
Prema ocjeni Štrovsa u ovom grobištu najviše je upravo hrvatskih žrtava.
“Nije još odlučeno hoćemo li utvrđivati identitet umorenih žrtava, ali zasigurno će ovo mjesto biti uređeno u spomen-groblje”, poručio je.
Istraživanja će se nastaviti ovoga tjedna. Inače su nađeni i ostaci telefonskih žica kojima su zarobljenici bili vezani. Dokazano je i da u jamama nisu bili samo vojnici jer su pronađene - dječje kosti i zubne proteze.
