Deset posto svih oboljelih od Covid - 19 virusa u svijetu imaju potrebu za mehaničkom ventilacijom (respirator) ili za kisikom. Isto tako, 10 posto svih oboljelih od Covida, nakon preboljenog oboljenja ima tzv. Long Covid, odnosno kronični Covid, odnosno ozbiljne posljedice, koje mogu potrajati mjesecima i od kojih mnogi od njih možda neće više biti kao nekad, kazuje nam prof. dr. sc. Andrej Trampuž, slovenski infektolog i specijalist interne medicine, šef odjela za kiruršku infektologiju bolnice Charite u Berlinu.

Dakle, više od 26,2 milijuna ljudi u svijetu (20 posto svih oboljelih), budući je do sada u svijetu oboljelo više od 131 milijuna ljudi, bilo za vrijeme Covida ili poslije ozdravljenja od ove "pošasti" 21. stolječa ima potrebu za intenzivnim liječenjem ili "intenzivnim" oporavkom u nekoj od specijaliziranih ustanova za to.

- Taj kronični Covid koji kod mnogih nastupa nakon preboljelog Covida donosi glavobolje, bolove u mišićima, zglobovime, neurološke probleme... i ima mnogo onih koji zbog tih problema ne mogu da se vrate normalnom životu, poslu. Mi u Njemačkoj imamo puno rehabilitacijskih klinika koje rade sa takvim pacijentima i njihov oporavak može trajati mjesecima, kazuje dr. Trampuž.

Zanimalo nas je, koliko će po mišljenju našeg sugovornika još potrajati ova pandemija i što nas očekuje u budućnosti?

- Zaista je sada teško reći do kada će Covid - 19 virus postojati i hoće li on biti pandemičan ili endemičan, kao virus gripe koji se pojavljuje svake godine iznova. To će umnogome ovisti o cjepivu i o mutantima samog virusa kojih već sada imamo podosta. Evo, nedavno se u Indiji pojavio kombinarini mutant Covida koji čine britanski i brazilski soj. Još uvijek se nije u velikoj mjeri proširio svijetom. U Njemačkoj sada prevladava sa više od 90 posto slučajeva britanski soj, za koji smo u početku mislili da se samo brže širi, međutim sada znamo da on oboljelima daje težu kliničku sliku. Za sada, sva cjepiva dobro odgovaraju na sve mutante, a da li će se u budućnosti pojaviti neki mutant kojemu sadašnja cjepiva neće moći ništa, to nitko ne može znati. Zbog toga je potrebno da što prije cijepimo što više ljudi, kako bi ograničili stvaranje novih mutanata. Mislim da ćemo na kraju ovog slijedećeg ljeta moći zaustaviti pandemiju, odnosno da ćemo je moći kontrolirati, naravno, ukoliko cjepiva bude dovoljno, zaključuje prof. dr. sc. Trampuž.

Deset posto svih oboljelih od Covid - 19 virusa u svijetu imaju potrebu za mehaničkom ventilacijom (respirator) ili za kisikom. Isto tako, 10 posto svih oboljelih od Covida, nakon preboljenog oboljenja ima tzv. Long Covid, odnosno kronični Covid, odnosno ozbiljne posljedice, koje mogu potrajati mjesecima i od kojih mnogi od njih možda neće više biti kao nekad, kazuje nam prof. dr. sc. Andrej Trampuž, slovenski infektolog i specijalist interne medicine, šef odjela za kiruršku infektologiju bolnice Charite u Berlinu.

Dakle, više od 26,2 milijuna ljudi u svijetu (20 posto svih oboljelih), budući je do sada u svijetu oboljelo više od 131 milijuna ljudi, bilo za vrijeme Covida ili poslije ozdravljenja od ove "pošasti" 21. stolječa ima potrebu za intenzivnim liječenjem ili "intenzivnim" oporavkom u nekoj od specijaliziranih ustanova za to.

- Taj kronični Covid koji kod mnogih nastupa nakon preboljelog Covida donosi glavobolje, bolove u mišićima, zglobovime, neurološke probleme... i ima mnogo onih koji zbog tih problema ne mogu da se vrate normalnom životu, poslu. Mi u Njemačkoj imamo puno rehabilitacijskih klinika koje rade sa takvim pacijentima i njihov oporavak može trajati mjesecima, kazuje dr. Trampuž.

Zanimalo nas je, koliko će po mišljenju našeg sugovornika još potrajati ova pandemija i što nas očekuje u budućnosti?

- Zaista je sada teško reći do kada će Covid - 19 virus postojati i hoće li on biti pandemičan ili endemičan, kao virus gripe koji se pojavljuje svake godine iznova. To će umnogome ovisti o cjepivu i o mutantima samog virusa kojih već sada imamo podosta. Evo, nedavno se u Indiji pojavio kombinarini mutant Covida koji čine britanski i brazilski soj. Još uvijek se nije u velikoj mjeri proširio svijetom. U Njemačkoj sada prevladava sa više od 90 posto slučajeva britanski soj, za koji smo u početku mislili da se samo brže širi, međutim sada znamo da on oboljelima daje težu kliničku sliku. Za sada, sva cjepiva dobro odgovaraju na sve mutante, a da li će se u budućnosti pojaviti neki mutant kojemu sadašnja cjepiva neće moći ništa, to nitko ne može znati. Zbog toga je potrebno da što prije cijepimo što više ljudi, kako bi ograničili stvaranje novih mutanata. Mislim da ćemo na kraju ovog slijedećeg ljeta moći zaustaviti pandemiju, odnosno da ćemo je moći kontrolirati, naravno, ukoliko cjepiva bude dovoljno, zaključuje prof. dr. sc. Trampuž.

Deset posto svih oboljelih od Covid - 19 virusa u svijetu imaju potrebu za mehaničkom ventilacijom (respirator) ili za kisikom. Isto tako, 10 posto svih oboljelih od Covida, nakon preboljenog oboljenja ima tzv. Long Covid, odnosno kronični Covid, odnosno ozbiljne posljedice, koje mogu potrajati mjesecima i od kojih mnogi od njih možda neće više biti kao nekad, kazuje nam prof. dr. sc.
