Preko 70 milijuna Amerikanaca glasalo je na predsjedničkim izborima prije roka - što je povijesni rekord - i to oko dvije trećine poštom, uključujući države u kojima se očekuju ključne bitke. Broj onih koji su dosad konzumirali biračko pravo veći je od polovice ukupne izlaznosti na predsjedničkim izborima 2016. godine, te svjedoči o visokoj glasačkoj motivaciji.

U Wisconsinu je registrirano pet puta više dopisnih listića nego 2016., dok je Sjeverna Karolina dosad zabilježila trostruki broj poštanskih glasova. Birači u mnogim američkim državama po prvi put mogu navesti koronavirus kao razlog ili mogu odlučiti glasati u odsutnosti bez ikakvoga obrazloženja.

Više od 25 država mijenjalo je zbog pandemijskih okolnosti pravila o biračkom izjašnjavanju, što uključuje automatsko slanje poštanskih izbornih listića svima s pravom glasa pa do produljenja rokova za njihovo prebrojavanje.

Ponegdje će se sigurno dogoditi da će dopisni glasački listići u službenu evidenciju dolaziti danima nakon 3. studenoga, pa bi postupak ukupne obrade u slučaju tijesnoga rezultata mogao potrajati čak i tjednima. Analitičari su suglasni kako velik broj dopisnih glasova bez sumnje ide u prilog demokratskom kandidatu Joeu Bidenu.

Donald Trump je zbog svega još jednom javno kritizirao američke izborne mehanizme, tvrdeći kako bi dodatno vrijeme za brojanje više milijuna glasova poslije izbornog dana bilo neprimjereno i podložno zloporabama.

Iako su izborne nepravilnosti za izbornih procesa u SAD-u iznimno rijetke, Trump sustavno javno podriva integritet institucija zemlje koju vodi, ne nudeći nikakve dokaze za svoje tendenciozne tvrdnje.

U jednako bleferskom stilu, domaćin Bijele kuće sa suradnicima je za potrebe izbora trijumfalno obznanio i pobjedu nad pandemijom koronavirusa, posve ignorirajući najveća povećanja broja zaraženih od početka pandemije.

Nakon što je bez slutnje srama izjavio kako je njegov sin Barron prebolio koronu za samo 15 minuta, naciji je naložio strogo optimističku optiku u vezi s covidom.

Ured Bijele kuće za znanost i tehnologiju objavio je tako jučer da se "pandemija Covida-19 okončava, što je vrhunac svih dostignuća predsjednika Trumpa u ovom mandatu“. Dokument kojim se ovo potkrepljuje navodno ima 62 stranice, a na njima Trumpova administracija samoj sebi odaje priznanje „zbog odlučne akcije u angažiranju znanstvenika i zdravstvenih radnika, te ljudi iz biznisa i vlade kako bi razumjeli, liječili i pobijedili bolest".

Dok Trump i osobno na svim predizbornim skupovima ponavlja kako je pobijedio bolest u čitavoj zemlji te optužuje medije i Bidena za širenje panike i lažnih informacija, svi medicinski stručnjaci listom upozoravaju na opasnost od zime i neslućenog produbljivanja zdravstvene krize.

Prošloga je tjedna Amerika zabilježila tragičan rekord od 83 tisuće novozaraženih u jednom danu, a u bolnicama je zbog pogoršanog tijeka bolesti trenutno zbrinuto više od 50 tisuća ljudi. U SAD-u je koronom zaraženo gotovo 9 milijuna osoba, a umrlo ih je oko 230 tisuća.

Još šest dana valja ih, međutim, kolektivno zaboraviti kako bi bogataški klaun dobio još par godina bonusa za svoju obijesnu igru.

Preko 70 milijuna Amerikanaca glasalo je na predsjedničkim izborima prije roka - što je povijesni rekord - i to oko dvije trećine poštom, uključujući države u kojima se očekuju ključne bitke. Broj onih koji su dosad konzumirali biračko pravo veći je od polovice ukupne izlaznosti na predsjedničkim izborima 2016. godine, te svjedoči o visokoj glasačkoj motivaciji.

U Wisconsinu je registrirano pet puta više dopisnih listića nego 2016., dok je Sjeverna Karolina dosad zabilježila trostruki broj poštanskih glasova. Birači u mnogim američkim državama po prvi put mogu navesti koronavirus kao razlog ili mogu odlučiti glasati u odsutnosti bez ikakvoga obrazloženja.

Više od 25 država mijenjalo je zbog pandemijskih okolnosti pravila o biračkom izjašnjavanju, što uključuje automatsko slanje poštanskih izbornih listića svima s pravom glasa pa do produljenja rokova za njihovo prebrojavanje.

Ponegdje će se sigurno dogoditi da će dopisni glasački listići u službenu evidenciju dolaziti danima nakon 3. studenoga, pa bi postupak ukupne obrade u slučaju tijesnoga rezultata mogao potrajati čak i tjednima. Analitičari su suglasni kako velik broj dopisnih glasova bez sumnje ide u prilog demokratskom kandidatu Joeu Bidenu.

Donald Trump je zbog svega još jednom javno kritizirao američke izborne mehanizme, tvrdeći kako bi dodatno vrijeme za brojanje više milijuna glasova poslije izbornog dana bilo neprimjereno i podložno zloporabama.

Iako su izborne nepravilnosti za izbornih procesa u SAD-u iznimno rijetke, Trump sustavno javno podriva integritet institucija zemlje koju vodi, ne nudeći nikakve dokaze za svoje tendenciozne tvrdnje.

U jednako bleferskom stilu, domaćin Bijele kuće sa suradnicima je za potrebe izbora trijumfalno obznanio i pobjedu nad pandemijom koronavirusa, posve ignorirajući najveća povećanja broja zaraženih od početka pandemije.

Nakon što je bez slutnje srama izjavio kako je njegov sin Barron prebolio koronu za samo 15 minuta, naciji je naložio strogo optimističku optiku u vezi s covidom.

Ured Bijele kuće za znanost i tehnologiju objavio je tako jučer da se "pandemija Covida-19 okončava, što je vrhunac svih dostignuća predsjednika Trumpa u ovom mandatu“. Dokument kojim se ovo potkrepljuje navodno ima 62 stranice, a na njima Trumpova administracija samoj sebi odaje priznanje „zbog odlučne akcije u angažiranju znanstvenika i zdravstvenih radnika, te ljudi iz biznisa i vlade kako bi razumjeli, liječili i pobijedili bolest".

Dok Trump i osobno na svim predizbornim skupovima ponavlja kako je pobijedio bolest u čitavoj zemlji te optužuje medije i Bidena za širenje panike i lažnih informacija, svi medicinski stručnjaci listom upozoravaju na opasnost od zime i neslućenog produbljivanja zdravstvene krize.

Prošloga je tjedna Amerika zabilježila tragičan rekord od 83 tisuće novozaraženih u jednom danu, a u bolnicama je zbog pogoršanog tijeka bolesti trenutno zbrinuto više od 50 tisuća ljudi. U SAD-u je koronom zaraženo gotovo 9 milijuna osoba, a umrlo ih je oko 230 tisuća.

Još šest dana valja ih, međutim, kolektivno zaboraviti kako bi bogataški klaun dobio još par godina bonusa za svoju obijesnu igru.

Preko 70 milijuna Amerikanaca glasalo je na predsjedničkim izborima prije roka - što je povijesni rekord - i to oko dvije trećine poštom, uključujući države u kojima se očekuju ključne bitke. Broj onih koji su dosad konzumirali biračko pravo veći je od polovice ukupne izlaznosti na predsjedničkim izborima 2016. godine, te svjedoči o visokoj glasačkoj motivaciji.

U Wisconsinu je registrirano pet puta više dopisnih listića nego 2016., dok je Sjeverna Karolina dosad zabilježila trostruki broj poštanskih glasova. Birači u mnogim američkim državama po prvi put mogu navesti koronavirus kao razlog ili mogu odlučiti glasati u odsutnosti bez ikakvoga obrazloženja.
