Odesa ne smije pasti, inače će posljedice biti katastrofalne, kažu. Odesa je milijunski, treći najveći ukrajinski grad na Crnome moru, a ovih dana oko nje bjesne bitke.
Ovaj prekrasni barokni grad bogate povijesti sa Splitom njeguje prijateljstvo još od 1964. godine. Sve ove godine održali su status gradova prijatelja, koji doduše nije iznjedrio neki veći zajednički projekt, ali su se protokolarni sastanci gradskih poglavara ipak održavali, a Odeska ulica na splitskom Mertojaku trajni je podsjetnik na bratstvo dvaju lučkih gradova.
Kako bilo, zgrozila nas je informacija kako je već prvoga dana rata 18 stanovnika ubijeno u raketnom napadu. Umjesto da se bave svojim uobičajenim poslovima, stanovnici Odese izrađuju Molotovljeve koktele i vare čelične barikade kako bi spriječili ulazak ruskih tenkova u svoj grad.
Kako bismo iz prve ruke doznali što se u Odesi događa, kontaktirali smo kolege s lokalnog portala "The Odessa Journal". Ukratko, situacija nije dobra, ali drže se.
Ma što drže, održali su jučer vjenčanje u atomskom skloništu u Avantgardu, predgrađu Odese! Nije tako trebalo biti, ali su mladence i uzvanike u podrum potjerale sirene zračne opasnosti. Vjenčali su se Vladislav i Natalija. Matičarka je izjavila da je Vladislav policajac koji sada brani svoju zemlju i izrazila nadu da će rat brzo završiti i da će moći uskoro pošteno proslaviti vjenčanje sa svojom obitelji. Od srca im to želimo.

Rastužila nas je i fotografija koju nam je poslala direktorica "The Odessa Journala" Antonina Semenova. Na njoj se vidi raskošna zgrada Opere i Baleta na glavnom gradskom trgu, a ispred nje barikade i zaštitne vreće s pijeskom. Ljudi na ulicama je malo i svi su u strahu što nose sljedeći sati i dani.

- Spavamo po nekoliko sati dnevno, mnogi napuštaju grad, idu put Rumunjske, Moldavije i dalje... - piše nam Semenova, i dodaje da uglavnom zemlju napuštaju majke s djecom. No, većina ostaje tamo da bi branila svoj dom.
Kaže da im je situacija zasad pod kontrolom, ali da su stalno pripravni na nove napade. Javio nam se kratko i glavni urednik "The Odessa Journala" Ugo Poletti, porijeklom Talijan. Čovjek je ovih dana u strašnom poslu, vijesti sustižu jedna drugu. Još donedavno su objavljivali lokalno obojene teme, pisali o kulturnim i društvenim događajima u gradu, a sad se i njihov portal pretvorio u pravu ratnu kroniku.
Jedna od zadnjih objavljenih bila je i da su se lokalne zaštitarske tvrtke i lovci organizirali kako bi obranili Odesu. Na žalost, u ovom trenutku ne možemo pristupiti njihovoj web-stranici jer se srušila. Ne prvi put otkad je počeo rat. Nadamo se i ovoga puta samo privremeno.
Solidarnost je tu, srčanosti i hrabrosti im ne manjka, no što je s naoružanjem i ljudstvom? Hoće li sve to biti dovoljno za obranu grada? Željeli bismo vjerovati da hoće.

Odesa ne smije pasti, inače će posljedice biti katastrofalne, kažu. Odesa je milijunski, treći najveći ukrajinski grad na Crnome moru, a ovih dana oko nje bjesne bitke.
Ovaj prekrasni barokni grad bogate povijesti sa Splitom njeguje prijateljstvo još od 1964. godine. Sve ove godine održali su status gradova prijatelja, koji doduše nije iznjedrio neki veći zajednički projekt, ali su se protokolarni sastanci gradskih poglavara ipak održavali, a Odeska ulica na splitskom Mertojaku trajni je podsjetnik na bratstvo dvaju lučkih gradova.
Kako bilo, zgrozila nas je informacija kako je već prvoga dana rata 18 stanovnika ubijeno u raketnom napadu. Umjesto da se bave svojim uobičajenim poslovima, stanovnici Odese izrađuju Molotovljeve koktele i vare čelične barikade kako bi spriječili ulazak ruskih tenkova u svoj grad.
Kako bismo iz prve ruke doznali što se u Odesi događa, kontaktirali smo kolege s lokalnog portala "The Odessa Journal". Ukratko, situacija nije dobra, ali drže se.
Ma što drže, održali su jučer vjenčanje u atomskom skloništu u Avantgardu, predgrađu Odese! Nije tako trebalo biti, ali su mladence i uzvanike u podrum potjerale sirene zračne opasnosti. Vjenčali su se Vladislav i Natalija. Matičarka je izjavila da je Vladislav policajac koji sada brani svoju zemlju i izrazila nadu da će rat brzo završiti i da će moći uskoro pošteno proslaviti vjenčanje sa svojom obitelji. Od srca im to želimo.

Rastužila nas je i fotografija koju nam je poslala direktorica "The Odessa Journala" Antonina Semenova. Na njoj se vidi raskošna zgrada Opere i Baleta na glavnom gradskom trgu, a ispred nje barikade i zaštitne vreće s pijeskom. Ljudi na ulicama je malo i svi su u strahu što nose sljedeći sati i dani.

- Spavamo po nekoliko sati dnevno, mnogi napuštaju grad, idu put Rumunjske, Moldavije i dalje... - piše nam Semenova, i dodaje da uglavnom zemlju napuštaju majke s djecom. No, većina ostaje tamo da bi branila svoj dom.
Kaže da im je situacija zasad pod kontrolom, ali da su stalno pripravni na nove napade. Javio nam se kratko i glavni urednik "The Odessa Journala" Ugo Poletti, porijeklom Talijan. Čovjek je ovih dana u strašnom poslu, vijesti sustižu jedna drugu. Još donedavno su objavljivali lokalno obojene teme, pisali o kulturnim i društvenim događajima u gradu, a sad se i njihov portal pretvorio u pravu ratnu kroniku.
Jedna od zadnjih objavljenih bila je i da su se lokalne zaštitarske tvrtke i lovci organizirali kako bi obranili Odesu. Na žalost, u ovom trenutku ne možemo pristupiti njihovoj web-stranici jer se srušila. Ne prvi put otkad je počeo rat. Nadamo se i ovoga puta samo privremeno.
Solidarnost je tu, srčanosti i hrabrosti im ne manjka, no što je s naoružanjem i ljudstvom? Hoće li sve to biti dovoljno za obranu grada? Željeli bismo vjerovati da hoće.
