Devedesetak eurozastupnika, uključujući i one HDZ-ove, izrazilo je nezadovoljstvo turskom odlukom o prenamjeni Aje Sofije iz muzeja u džamiju i pozvalo da se poduzmu mjere za očuvanje te znamenitosti kao dijela svjetske kulturne baštine.

Zastupnici EP-a u dopisu upućenom šefu europske diplomacije Josephu Borellu i UNESCO-u navode da "instrumentaliziranjem Aje Sofije s ciljem vršenja pritiska na Europu, Republika Turska nedvosmisleno pokazuje aktivno nepoštivanje međunarodnog prava i europskih vrijednosti".

Od hrvatskih predstavnika u EP-u, dopis su potpisali HDZ-ovi Željana Zovko, Karlo Ressler, Tomislav Sokol i Sunčana Glavak.

"Pozivam UNESCO i Odbor za svjetsku baštinu da reagiraju i utvrde odgovornost za ovo jednostrano djelovanje na baštini koja pripada cijelom svijetu", priopćeno je iz Ureda eurozastupnice Željane Zovko.

Zastupnici EP-a u dopisu pozivaju UNESCO da poduzme "odgovarajuće mjere na očuvanju ovog lokaliteta svjetske baštine, kao i na zaštiti međunarodnih sporazuma i UNESCO-ovog okvira, kako bismo podržali glavne europske vrijednosti i načela".

Najviši turski sud poništio je prošli tjedan odluku oca moderne Turske Mustafe Kemala Ataturka iz 1934. kojom je pretvorio istanbulsku znamenitost Aju Sofiju u muzej.

UNESCO je najavio da će već na sljedećoj sjednici ponovno razmotriti status Aje Sofije koja se od 1985. nalazi na popisu svjetske kulturne baštine. Izrazio je žaljenje što se odluka donijela "bez dijaloga ili prethodne obavijesti".

Devedesetak eurozastupnika, uključujući i one HDZ-ove, izrazilo je nezadovoljstvo turskom odlukom o prenamjeni Aje Sofije iz muzeja u džamiju i pozvalo da se poduzmu mjere za očuvanje te znamenitosti kao dijela svjetske kulturne baštine.

Zastupnici EP-a u dopisu upućenom šefu europske diplomacije Josephu Borellu i UNESCO-u navode da "instrumentaliziranjem Aje Sofije s ciljem vršenja pritiska na Europu, Republika Turska nedvosmisleno pokazuje aktivno nepoštivanje međunarodnog prava i europskih vrijednosti".

Od hrvatskih predstavnika u EP-u, dopis su potpisali HDZ-ovi Željana Zovko, Karlo Ressler, Tomislav Sokol i Sunčana Glavak.

"Pozivam UNESCO i Odbor za svjetsku baštinu da reagiraju i utvrde odgovornost za ovo jednostrano djelovanje na baštini koja pripada cijelom svijetu", priopćeno je iz Ureda eurozastupnice Željane Zovko.

Zastupnici EP-a u dopisu pozivaju UNESCO da poduzme "odgovarajuće mjere na očuvanju ovog lokaliteta svjetske baštine, kao i na zaštiti međunarodnih sporazuma i UNESCO-ovog okvira, kako bismo podržali glavne europske vrijednosti i načela".

Najviši turski sud poništio je prošli tjedan odluku oca moderne Turske Mustafe Kemala Ataturka iz 1934. kojom je pretvorio istanbulsku znamenitost Aju Sofiju u muzej.

UNESCO je najavio da će već na sljedećoj sjednici ponovno razmotriti status Aje Sofije koja se od 1985. nalazi na popisu svjetske kulturne baštine. Izrazio je žaljenje što se odluka donijela "bez dijaloga ili prethodne obavijesti".

Dio eurozastupnika nezadovoljan prenamjenom Aje Sofije u džamiju, pozivaju UNESCO da ona i dalje bude dio svjetske baštine

Devedesetak eurozastupnika, uključujući i one HDZ-ove, izrazilo je nezadovoljstvo turskom odlukom o prenamjeni Aje Sofije iz muzeja u džamiju i pozvalo da se poduzmu mjere za očuvanje te znamenitosti kao dijela svjetske kulturne baštine.

Zastupnici EP-a u dopisu upućenom šefu europske diplomacije Josephu Borellu i UNESCO-u navode da "instrumentaliziranjem Aje Sofije s ciljem vršenja pritiska na Europu, Republika Turska nedvosmisleno pokazuje aktivno nepoštivanje međunarodnog prava i europskih vrijednosti".

Od hrvatskih predstavnika u EP-u, dopis su potpisali HDZ-ovi Željana Zovko, Karlo Ressler, Tomislav Sokol i Sunčana Glavak.
