Pandemija koronavirusa gurnula je svjetsko gospodarstvo na silaznu putanju koja će zahtijevati ogromna sredstva za zemlje u razvoju, rekla je u petak izvršna direktorica Međunarodnog monetarnog fonda Kristalina Georgieva.

Ona je izvijestila da je više od 80 zemalja, uglavnom nerazvijenijih, zatražilo dosad pomoć MMF-a.

"Jasno je da smo zakoračili u recesiju" koja će biti gora od one 2009. koja je uslijedila nakon globalne financijske krize, rekla je na konferenciji za novinare održanoj putem interneta.

Uz "iznenadni zastoj" gospodarskih aktivnosti širom svijeta Georgieva je rekla da je procjena MMF-a da su "sveukupne financijske potrebe tržišta u razvoju 2,5 bilijuna dolara".

Upozorila je da je to vrlo konzervativna procjena.

Vlade u zemljama u razvoju koje su proteklih tjedana pretrpjele odlijevanje više od 83 milijarde dolara kapitala mogu većinu toga 'pokriti' no jasno je da su "domaći izvori nedovoljni" i mnogi imaju već sada velika kreditna zaduženja.

Više od 80 zemalja, većinom onih sa slabijim prihodima, već su zatražile hitnu pomoć Međunarodnog monetarnog fonda, rekla je dodajući da je  MMF svjestan da su rezerve tih zemalja nedovoljne.

MMF nastoji osnažiti svoje kapacitete kako bi učinio "više, bolje i najbrže moguće" u odgovoru na njihove zahtjeve.

Pozdravila je ekonomski paket od 2,2 bilijuna dolara usvojen u SAD-u kao mjeru koja bi trebala podići američko gospodarstvo suočeno s posljedicama pandemije koronavirusa.

"Neophodno je ublažiti udar na najveće svjetsko gospodarstvo suočeno s iznenadnim prestankom poslovnih aktivnosti".

Američki paket važan je i zbog toga što će ubrzati američki doprinos od 78 milijarda dolara kapacitetima MMF-a za posuđivanje.

Taj američki potez "snažna je poruka međunarodnoj zajednici i pomaže konsolidiranju ukupnog kapaciteta MMF-a za zajmove vrijednog bilijun dolara", rekla je Georgieva.

Pandemija koronavirusa gurnula je svjetsko gospodarstvo na silaznu putanju koja će zahtijevati ogromna sredstva za zemlje u razvoju, rekla je u petak izvršna direktorica Međunarodnog monetarnog fonda Kristalina Georgieva.

Ona je izvijestila da je više od 80 zemalja, uglavnom nerazvijenijih, zatražilo dosad pomoć MMF-a.

"Jasno je da smo zakoračili u recesiju" koja će biti gora od one 2009. koja je uslijedila nakon globalne financijske krize, rekla je na konferenciji za novinare održanoj putem interneta.

Uz "iznenadni zastoj" gospodarskih aktivnosti širom svijeta Georgieva je rekla da je procjena MMF-a da su "sveukupne financijske potrebe tržišta u razvoju 2,5 bilijuna dolara".

Upozorila je da je to vrlo konzervativna procjena.

Vlade u zemljama u razvoju koje su proteklih tjedana pretrpjele odlijevanje više od 83 milijarde dolara kapitala mogu većinu toga 'pokriti' no jasno je da su "domaći izvori nedovoljni" i mnogi imaju već sada velika kreditna zaduženja.

Više od 80 zemalja, većinom onih sa slabijim prihodima, već su zatražile hitnu pomoć Međunarodnog monetarnog fonda, rekla je dodajući da je  MMF svjestan da su rezerve tih zemalja nedovoljne.

MMF nastoji osnažiti svoje kapacitete kako bi učinio "više, bolje i najbrže moguće" u odgovoru na njihove zahtjeve.

Pozdravila je ekonomski paket od 2,2 bilijuna dolara usvojen u SAD-u kao mjeru koja bi trebala podići američko gospodarstvo suočeno s posljedicama pandemije koronavirusa.

"Neophodno je ublažiti udar na najveće svjetsko gospodarstvo suočeno s iznenadnim prestankom poslovnih aktivnosti".

Američki paket važan je i zbog toga što će ubrzati američki doprinos od 78 milijarda dolara kapacitetima MMF-a za posuđivanje.

Taj američki potez "snažna je poruka međunarodnoj zajednici i pomaže konsolidiranju ukupnog kapaciteta MMF-a za zajmove vrijednog bilijun dolara", rekla je Georgieva.

Pandemija koronavirusa gurnula je svjetsko gospodarstvo na silaznu putanju koja će zahtijevati ogromna sredstva za zemlje u razvoju, rekla je u petak izvršna direktorica Međunarodnog monetarnog fonda Kristalina Georgieva.

Ona je izvijestila da je više od 80 zemalja, uglavnom nerazvijenijih, zatražilo dosad pomoć MMF-a.

"Jasno je da smo zakoračili u recesiju" koja će biti gora od one 2009. koja je uslijedila nakon globalne financijske krize, rekla je na konferenciji za novinare održanoj putem interneta.

Uz "iznenadni zastoj" gospodarskih aktivnosti širom svijeta Georgieva je rekla da je procjena MMF-a da su "sveukupne financijske potrebe tržišta u razvoju 2,5 bilijuna dolara".

Upozorila je da je to vrlo konzervativna procjena.
