Reforme koje bi išle prema smanjenju poreza najbogatijima donijet će veće nejednakosti i neće stimulirati gospodarski rast, tvrde autori studije dvaju britanskih sveučilišta LSE i King's College London.

Vlade koje istražuju na koji način popraviti javne financije nakon krize covida-19 ne bi se trebale zabrinjavati posljedicama povećanja poreza najbogatijima, ističu autori u priopćenju. 

Klasične reforme u programima konzervativnih ili vlada desnice temelje se na neoliberalnim teorijama da će pomaganje bogatima potaknuti ih da više rade, troše i ulažu što će posljedično donijeti poztivan razvoj za sve slojeve gospodarstva ("trickle down economics").

Studija pod naslovom "Ekonomske posljedice glavnih smanjenja poreza najbogatijama" koju potpisuju znanstvenici David Hope i Julian Limberg, pokazuje da su se porezi najbogatijima smanjivali u vodećim gospodarstvima svijeta u zadnjih 50 godina, napose osamdesetih godina.

Autori su se koristili podacima pet zadnjih desetljeća iz 18 članica Organizacije za ekonomsku suradnju i razvoj (OECD), koja okuplja najrazvijenije države.

Najveći učinak smanjenja poreza najbogatijima leži u tome da prosječno svaka reforma donosi 0,8 posto nacionalnog prihoda za 1 posto najbogatijih, no ekonomska performanca države u kojoj je obavljeno mjerenje na temelju stope nezaposlenosti ili BDP-a po stanovniku nije se znatno promijenilo.

"Rezultati naše studije važni su za sadašnje rasprave o gospodarskim posljedicama oporezivanja najbogatijih", kažu autori.

"Argumenti u prilog održavanja niskih poreznih stopa za najbogatije slabašni su" i ne drže vodu, ističu autori.

Javno zaduživanje se više nego utrostručilo u Velikoj Britaniji od travnja do listopada do rekordnih 214,9 milijarda funti zbog velikih mjera potpore koju je britanska vlada dala gospodarstvu suočenom s pandemijom koronavirusa.

Konzervativna vlada Borisa Johnsona produljila je mjeru pomoći kako bi očuvala radna mjesta u vrijeme kada pandemija donosi tisuće otkaza diljem zemlje.

Povećanje poreza najbogatijim poreznim obveznicima dio je mjera koje razmatra vlada kako bi uravnotežila javne financije, no to je politički osjetljivo pitanje za konzervativnu vladu Borisa Johnsona.

Prema poslovnom dnevnom listu Financial Times, ministar financija Rishi Sunak radi na mogućoj poreznoj stopi PDV na kapital.

Odbor za porez na bogatstvo, skupina sveučilišnih ekonomista koja se bavi oporezivanjem velikih bogatstava, preporučuje jedinstveni porez od 5 posto na aktivu. 

Warren Buffet, jedan od najbogatijih ljudi na svijetu, dio je onih koji se protive smanjenju poreza i redovito poziva vlade da povećaju poreze najbogatijima.

Reforme koje bi išle prema smanjenju poreza najbogatijima donijet će veće nejednakosti i neće stimulirati gospodarski rast, tvrde autori studije dvaju britanskih sveučilišta LSE i King's College London.

Vlade koje istražuju na koji način popraviti javne financije nakon krize covida-19 ne bi se trebale zabrinjavati posljedicama povećanja poreza najbogatijima, ističu autori u priopćenju. 

Klasične reforme u programima konzervativnih ili vlada desnice temelje se na neoliberalnim teorijama da će pomaganje bogatima potaknuti ih da više rade, troše i ulažu što će posljedično donijeti poztivan razvoj za sve slojeve gospodarstva ("trickle down economics").

Studija pod naslovom "Ekonomske posljedice glavnih smanjenja poreza najbogatijama" koju potpisuju znanstvenici David Hope i Julian Limberg, pokazuje da su se porezi najbogatijima smanjivali u vodećim gospodarstvima svijeta u zadnjih 50 godina, napose osamdesetih godina.

Autori su se koristili podacima pet zadnjih desetljeća iz 18 članica Organizacije za ekonomsku suradnju i razvoj (OECD), koja okuplja najrazvijenije države.

Najveći učinak smanjenja poreza najbogatijima leži u tome da prosječno svaka reforma donosi 0,8 posto nacionalnog prihoda za 1 posto najbogatijih, no ekonomska performanca države u kojoj je obavljeno mjerenje na temelju stope nezaposlenosti ili BDP-a po stanovniku nije se znatno promijenilo.

"Rezultati naše studije važni su za sadašnje rasprave o gospodarskim posljedicama oporezivanja najbogatijih", kažu autori.

"Argumenti u prilog održavanja niskih poreznih stopa za najbogatije slabašni su" i ne drže vodu, ističu autori.

Javno zaduživanje se više nego utrostručilo u Velikoj Britaniji od travnja do listopada do rekordnih 214,9 milijarda funti zbog velikih mjera potpore koju je britanska vlada dala gospodarstvu suočenom s pandemijom koronavirusa.

Konzervativna vlada Borisa Johnsona produljila je mjeru pomoći kako bi očuvala radna mjesta u vrijeme kada pandemija donosi tisuće otkaza diljem zemlje.

Povećanje poreza najbogatijim poreznim obveznicima dio je mjera koje razmatra vlada kako bi uravnotežila javne financije, no to je politički osjetljivo pitanje za konzervativnu vladu Borisa Johnsona.

Prema poslovnom dnevnom listu Financial Times, ministar financija Rishi Sunak radi na mogućoj poreznoj stopi PDV na kapital.

Odbor za porez na bogatstvo, skupina sveučilišnih ekonomista koja se bavi oporezivanjem velikih bogatstava, preporučuje jedinstveni porez od 5 posto na aktivu. 

Warren Buffet, jedan od najbogatijih ljudi na svijetu, dio je onih koji se protive smanjenju poreza i redovito poziva vlade da povećaju poreze najbogatijima.

Reforme koje bi išle prema smanjenju poreza najbogatijima donijet će veće nejednakosti i neće stimulirati gospodarski rast, tvrde autori studije dvaju britanskih sveučilišta LSE i King's College London.

Vlade koje istražuju na koji način popraviti javne financije nakon krize covida-19 ne bi se trebale zabrinjavati posljedicama povećanja poreza najbogatijima, ističu autori u priopćenju. 

Klasične reforme u programima konzervativnih ili vlada desnice temelje se na neoliberalnim teorijama da će pomaganje bogatima potaknuti ih da više rade, troše i ulažu što će posljedično donijeti poztivan razvoj za sve slojeve gospodarstva ("trickle down economics").
