Ujedinjeni narodi priopćili su u srijedu da je broj žena i djevojčica ubijenih u svijetu 2022. porastao na najvišu razinu u 20 godina.

Oko 89.000 žena i djevojaka namjerno je ubijeno prošle godine, izvijestili su tijelo UN-a za rodnu ravnopravnost i osnaživanje žena (UN Women) i Ured UN-a za droge i kriminal (UNODC).

"Alarmantan broj femicida žena jasan je podsjetnik da se čovječanstvo još uvijek bori s duboko ukorijenjenim nejednakostima i nasiljem nad ženama i djevojčicama", rekla je Ghada Waly, izvršna direktorica UNODC-a.

"Svaki izgubljeni život je poziv na akciju - molba da se hitno pozabavimo strukturalnim nejednakostima, da poboljšamo odgovore kaznenog pravosuđa tako da se nijedna žena ili djevojka ne boji za svoj život zbog svog spola."

Više od polovice tih ubojstava, oko 55 posto, počinili su članovi obitelji ili partneri, u usporedbi s oko 12 posto muških žrtava ubojstava.Najviše ubojstava žena i djevojaka, oko 20.000, dogodilo se u Africi, a zatim u Aziji, navodi se u izvješću UN-ovih organizacija.

Ujedinjeni narodi priopćili su u srijedu da je broj žena i djevojčica ubijenih u svijetu 2022. porastao na najvišu razinu u 20 godina.

Oko 89.000 žena i djevojaka namjerno je ubijeno prošle godine, izvijestili su tijelo UN-a za rodnu ravnopravnost i osnaživanje žena (UN Women) i Ured UN-a za droge i kriminal (UNODC).

"Alarmantan broj femicida žena jasan je podsjetnik da se čovječanstvo još uvijek bori s duboko ukorijenjenim nejednakostima i nasiljem nad ženama i djevojčicama", rekla je Ghada Waly, izvršna direktorica UNODC-a.

"Svaki izgubljeni život je poziv na akciju - molba da se hitno pozabavimo strukturalnim nejednakostima, da poboljšamo odgovore kaznenog pravosuđa tako da se nijedna žena ili djevojka ne boji za svoj život zbog svog spola."

Više od polovice tih ubojstava, oko 55 posto, počinili su članovi obitelji ili partneri, u usporedbi s oko 12 posto muških žrtava ubojstava.Najviše ubojstava žena i djevojaka, oko 20.000, dogodilo se u Africi, a zatim u Aziji, navodi se u izvješću UN-ovih organizacija.

Alarmantni podaci UN-a: Broj ubijenih žena najveći u protekla dva desetljeća, uglavnom od ruke njihovih partnera!

Ujedinjeni narodi priopćili su u srijedu da je broj žena i djevojčica ubijenih u svijetu 2022. porastao na najvišu razinu u 20 godina.

Oko 89.000 žena i djevojaka namjerno je ubijeno prošle godine, izvijestili su tijelo UN-a za rodnu ravnopravnost i osnaživanje žena (UN Women) i Ured UN-a za droge i kriminal (UNODC).

"Alarmantan broj femicida žena jasan je podsjetnik da se čovječanstvo još uvijek bori s duboko ukorijenjenim nejednakostima i nasiljem nad ženama i djevojčicama", rekla je Ghada Waly, izvršna direktorica UNODC-a.

"Svaki izgubljeni život je poziv na akciju - molba da se hitno pozabavimo strukturalnim nejednakostima, da poboljšamo odgovore kaznenog pravosuđa tako da se nijedna žena ili djevojka ne boji za svoj život zbog svog spola."

Više od polovice tih ubojstava, oko 55 posto, počinili su članovi obitelji ili partneri, u usporedbi s oko 12 posto muških žrtava ubojstava.Najviše ubojstava žena i djevojaka, oko 20.000, dogodilo se u Africi, a zatim u Aziji, navodi se u izvješću UN-ovih organizacija.
