Europski povjerenik proširenje i susjedske odnose Oliver Varhelyi najavio je u ponedjeljak da će u sljedeća dva tjedan regiji zapadnog Balkana biti isporučeno 651.000 doza cjepiva protiv covida-19 i poručio borba protiv korone „ne može čekati“.

Riječ je o 651.000 doza cjepiva koje dolaze u regiju pored milijun doza koja su, na inicijativu Austrije, već osigurana kroz sustav Covax za zapadni Balkan.

Varhelyi je, započinjući u Beogradu svoju regionalnu turneju kojom će dominirati pitanje korone, rekao kako je sada ključno pitanje cijepljenja, sugerirajući ga kao najučinkovitije rješenje.

"Ispričavam se što vas uznemiravam na državni praznik, ali borba protiv koronavirusa ne može čekati i mislio sam kako je najvažnije da donesemo cjepiva, počevši od Srbije, najuspješnije zemlje regije u procesu procjepljivanja", rekao je Varhelyi tijekom posjeta srbijanskom nacionalnom Institutu za javno zdravlje Batut na drugi dan Uskrsa po Julijanskom kalendaru.

Mađarski eurodužnosnik rekao je kako se Srbiji treba zahvaliti ne samo na uspješnoj kampanji procjepljivanja, već i na tome "što nije zaboravila regiju kojoj je uputila 100.000 cjepiva".

"Sada je na nama da uzvratimo uslugu i damo Srbiji dio tog cjepiva", naveo je Varhelyi i pozvao građane Srbije da se čim prije cijepe kako pandemija više ne bi ugrožavala živote i gospodarstvo.

"Svi moramo biti cijepljeni jer bez toga pandemija neće stati", poručio je Varhelyi.

Srbijanska ministrica za eurointegracije Jadranka Joksimović je ocijenila da Varhelyi, govoreći o "solidarnosti Srbije s regijom", prenosi "istinito i objektivno" ono što Srbija radi.

Varhelyi u ponedjeljak ima radnu večeru s predsjednikom Srbije Aleksandrom Vučićem, a zapadnobalkansku turneju nastavlja u utorak posjetom Bosni i Hercegovini, Crnoj Gori i Sjevernoj Makedoniji, a potom u srijedu Albaniji i Kosovu.

"Stalo nam je do naših partnera, do njihovih zdravstvenih djelatnika i do najugroženijih građana. Isporuka cjepiva potvrđuje našu kontinuiranu posvećenost pružanju podrške, kao što to činimo od izbijanja pandemije. Zajedno smo jači", naglasio je Varhelyi uoči posjeta koji je na Twitteru najavio je uz poruku "Mi brinemo".

Europski povjerenik proširenje i susjedske odnose Oliver Varhelyi najavio je u ponedjeljak da će u sljedeća dva tjedan regiji zapadnog Balkana biti isporučeno 651.000 doza cjepiva protiv covida-19 i poručio borba protiv korone „ne može čekati“.

Riječ je o 651.000 doza cjepiva koje dolaze u regiju pored milijun doza koja su, na inicijativu Austrije, već osigurana kroz sustav Covax za zapadni Balkan.

Varhelyi je, započinjući u Beogradu svoju regionalnu turneju kojom će dominirati pitanje korone, rekao kako je sada ključno pitanje cijepljenja, sugerirajući ga kao najučinkovitije rješenje.

"Ispričavam se što vas uznemiravam na državni praznik, ali borba protiv koronavirusa ne može čekati i mislio sam kako je najvažnije da donesemo cjepiva, počevši od Srbije, najuspješnije zemlje regije u procesu procjepljivanja", rekao je Varhelyi tijekom posjeta srbijanskom nacionalnom Institutu za javno zdravlje Batut na drugi dan Uskrsa po Julijanskom kalendaru.

Mađarski eurodužnosnik rekao je kako se Srbiji treba zahvaliti ne samo na uspješnoj kampanji procjepljivanja, već i na tome "što nije zaboravila regiju kojoj je uputila 100.000 cjepiva".

"Sada je na nama da uzvratimo uslugu i damo Srbiji dio tog cjepiva", naveo je Varhelyi i pozvao građane Srbije da se čim prije cijepe kako pandemija više ne bi ugrožavala živote i gospodarstvo.

"Svi moramo biti cijepljeni jer bez toga pandemija neće stati", poručio je Varhelyi.

Srbijanska ministrica za eurointegracije Jadranka Joksimović je ocijenila da Varhelyi, govoreći o "solidarnosti Srbije s regijom", prenosi "istinito i objektivno" ono što Srbija radi.

Varhelyi u ponedjeljak ima radnu večeru s predsjednikom Srbije Aleksandrom Vučićem, a zapadnobalkansku turneju nastavlja u utorak posjetom Bosni i Hercegovini, Crnoj Gori i Sjevernoj Makedoniji, a potom u srijedu Albaniji i Kosovu.

"Stalo nam je do naših partnera, do njihovih zdravstvenih djelatnika i do najugroženijih građana. Isporuka cjepiva potvrđuje našu kontinuiranu posvećenost pružanju podrške, kao što to činimo od izbijanja pandemije. Zajedno smo jači", naglasio je Varhelyi uoči posjeta koji je na Twitteru najavio je uz poruku "Mi brinemo".

Europski povjerenik proširenje i susjedske odnose Oliver Varhelyi najavio je u ponedjeljak da će u sljedeća dva tjedan regiji zapadnog Balkana biti isporučeno 651.000 doza cjepiva protiv covida-19 i poručio borba protiv korone „ne može čekati“.

Riječ je o 651.000 doza cjepiva koje dolaze u regiju pored milijun doza koja su, na inicijativu Austrije, već osigurana kroz sustav Covax za zapadni Balkan.

Varhelyi je, započinjući u Beogradu svoju regionalnu turneju kojom će dominirati pitanje korone, rekao kako je sada ključno pitanje cijepljenja, sugerirajući ga kao najučinkovitije rješenje.
