Parlament Sjeverne Makedonije je u nedjelju kao čelnika privremene vlade izabrao Talata Xhaferija, prvog Albanca na tom položaju, koji će voditi zemlju do općih izbora početkom svibnja.

Xhaferi je bio predsjednik parlamenta prije nego što ga je vladajuća koalicija nominirala za poziciju premijera. Zadaća trenutne vlade jest osigurati poštene i slobodne izbore.

Xhaferi je dobio 65 glasova u parlamentu sa 120 zastupnika, pri čemu je oporbena stranka bojkotirala glasanje iako će imati nekoliko mjesta u privremenoj vladi.

"Obavljat ću ovu dužnost s povjerenjem, čašću i velikom odgovornošću", rekao je Xhaferi zastupnicima prije glasanja.

Xhaferi je postao prvi albanski premijer u zemlji. Albanci čine otprilike 29,5 posto stanovnika u Sjevernoj Makedoniji, gdje živi oko 1,8 milijuna ljudi.

Izbori su zakazani za 8. svibnja, a najveće pitanje za novi parlament i vladu bit će promjena ustava radi priznavanja bugarske nacionalne manjine.

Bugarska će zauzvrat dozvoliti svom susjedu da započne pregovore o članstvu s Europskom unijom.

Sjeverna Makedonija se suočila s mnogo unutarnjih uspona i padova od 2001. kada je izbio sukob između vladinih snaga i pobunjenih etničkih Albanaca koji su zahtijevali veća prava.

Parlament Sjeverne Makedonije je u nedjelju kao čelnika privremene vlade izabrao Talata Xhaferija, prvog Albanca na tom položaju, koji će voditi zemlju do općih izbora početkom svibnja.

Xhaferi je bio predsjednik parlamenta prije nego što ga je vladajuća koalicija nominirala za poziciju premijera. Zadaća trenutne vlade jest osigurati poštene i slobodne izbore.

Xhaferi je dobio 65 glasova u parlamentu sa 120 zastupnika, pri čemu je oporbena stranka bojkotirala glasanje iako će imati nekoliko mjesta u privremenoj vladi.

Xhaferi je postao prvi albanski premijer u zemlji. Albanci čine otprilike 29,5 posto stanovnika u Sjevernoj Makedoniji, gdje živi oko 1,8 milijuna ljudi.

Izbori su zakazani za 8. svibnja, a najveće pitanje za novi parlament i vladu bit će promjena ustava radi priznavanja bugarske nacionalne manjine.

Parlament Sjeverne Makedonije je u nedjelju kao čelnika privremene vlade izabrao Talata Xhaferija, prvog Albanca na tom položaju, koji će voditi zemlju do općih izbora početkom svibnja.

Xhaferi je bio predsjednik parlamenta prije nego što ga je vladajuća koalicija nominirala za poziciju premijera. Zadaća trenutne vlade jest osigurati poštene i slobodne izbore.

Xhaferi je dobio 65 glasova u parlamentu sa 120 zastupnika, pri čemu je oporbena stranka bojkotirala glasanje iako će imati nekoliko mjesta u privremenoj vladi.
