Zbog Covida-19 u najtežoj situaciji našli su se onkološki bolesnici koji proteklih šest mjeseci žive u neizvjesnosti. RTL Direktu ponovno je stoga gostovao prof. dr. Eduard Vrdoljak, predstojnik Klinike za onkologiju KBC-a Split, koji je još prije tri mjeseca kazao da se boji da će se posljedice ove situacije tek vidjeti, prenosi RTL.

- Nedavno smo analizirali broj novodijagnosticiranih bolesnica s rakom dojke u Hrvatskoj za vrijeme lockdowna i otkrili da u prva dva tjedna petog mjeseca broj novooboljelih dijagnosticiranih žena koju su dobile iglenu biopsiju i dijagnozu raka bio je za gotovo 50 posto niži nego u prva dva tjedna 2019. godine. 

Prava istina jest da imamo kontinuirani porast novooboljelih bolesnica s rakom dojke i da to sigurno ne znači da one nisu dobile rak nego da se nisu dijagnosticirale. Kao posljedicu ćemo imati kasnije dijagnosticirane tumore, a samim time i moguće lošije ishode u liječenju - ističe Vrdoljak.

Razlog je, kaže, multifaktorijalan. 

- Donekle krivi ste i vi novinari, jer u žižu javnosti ste stavili Covid krizu pa je ljudima bilo lakše bilo pobjeći od tmurne onkološke istine. Nije lako otići na onkološki pregled i dijagnosticirati tumor, ljudi to ne vole to raditi. Mi Hrvati smo jedna od nacija koja se najmanje odaziva generalno na takve rano detekcijske preglede.

Samo 20 posto bolesnika se javi na ranu detekciju raka debelog crijeva, recimo 65 posto na ranu detekciju raka dojke, stoga je lako u tim krizama reći ostavit ću to za neko drugo vrijeme.

Ponavljam nije da imamo manje dijagnosticiranih da nas je korona spasila od raka nego ćemo nažalost kasnije dijagnosticirati bolest.

Od početka Covid krize smo dijagnosticirali do danas 12 200 bolesnika s Covidom od kojih je 203 umrlo, u isto vrijeme dijagnosticirano je 12 300 bolesnika s rakom, znači gotovo isto, ali smrtnost od raka je od šest do sedam tisuća. Tako da je ta razlika dramatična - kazao je Vrdoljak za RTL.

Zbog Covida-19 u najtežoj situaciji našli su se onkološki bolesnici koji proteklih šest mjeseci žive u neizvjesnosti. RTL Direktu ponovno je stoga gostovao prof. dr. Eduard Vrdoljak, predstojnik Klinike za onkologiju KBC-a Split, koji je još prije tri mjeseca kazao da se boji da će se posljedice ove situacije tek vidjeti, prenosi RTL.

- Nedavno smo analizirali broj novodijagnosticiranih bolesnica s rakom dojke u Hrvatskoj za vrijeme lockdowna i otkrili da u prva dva tjedna petog mjeseca broj novooboljelih dijagnosticiranih žena koju su dobile iglenu biopsiju i dijagnozu raka bio je za gotovo 50 posto niži nego u prva dva tjedna 2019. godine. 

Prava istina jest da imamo kontinuirani porast novooboljelih bolesnica s rakom dojke i da to sigurno ne znači da one nisu dobile rak nego da se nisu dijagnosticirale. Kao posljedicu ćemo imati kasnije dijagnosticirane tumore, a samim time i moguće lošije ishode u liječenju - ističe Vrdoljak.

Razlog je, kaže, multifaktorijalan. 

- Donekle krivi ste i vi novinari, jer u žižu javnosti ste stavili Covid krizu pa je ljudima bilo lakše bilo pobjeći od tmurne onkološke istine. Nije lako otići na onkološki pregled i dijagnosticirati tumor, ljudi to ne vole to raditi. Mi Hrvati smo jedna od nacija koja se najmanje odaziva generalno na takve rano detekcijske preglede.

Samo 20 posto bolesnika se javi na ranu detekciju raka debelog crijeva, recimo 65 posto na ranu detekciju raka dojke, stoga je lako u tim krizama reći ostavit ću to za neko drugo vrijeme.

Ponavljam nije da imamo manje dijagnosticiranih da nas je korona spasila od raka nego ćemo nažalost kasnije dijagnosticirati bolest.

Od početka Covid krize smo dijagnosticirali do danas 12 200 bolesnika s Covidom od kojih je 203 umrlo, u isto vrijeme dijagnosticirano je 12 300 bolesnika s rakom, znači gotovo isto, ali smrtnost od raka je od šest do sedam tisuća. Tako da je ta razlika dramatična - kazao je Vrdoljak za RTL.

Zbog Covida-19 u najtežoj situaciji našli su se onkološki bolesnici koji proteklih šest mjeseci žive u neizvjesnosti. RTL Direktu ponovno je stoga gostovao prof. dr. Eduard Vrdoljak, predstojnik Klinike za onkologiju KBC-a Split, koji je još prije tri mjeseca kazao da se boji da će se posljedice ove situacije tek vidjeti, prenosi RTL.

- Nedavno smo analizirali broj novodijagnosticiranih bolesnica s rakom dojke u Hrvatskoj za vrijeme lockdowna i otkrili da u prva dva tjedna petog mjeseca broj novooboljelih dijagnosticiranih žena koju su dobile iglenu biopsiju i dijagnozu raka bio je za gotovo 50 posto niži nego u prva dva tjedna 2019. godine. 

Prava istina jest da imamo kontinuirani porast novooboljelih bolesnica s rakom dojke i da to sigurno ne znači da one nisu dobile rak...
