Objavljena je vijest da je Međunarodni tim znanstvenika Tehničkog sveučilišta u Braunschweigu i Centra za infektivna istraživanja u časopisu Nature Communications objavio članak o razvoju posebnih antitijela protiv koronavirusa.

- Ne radi se o cjepivu, nego o strategiji koja u osnovi djeluje kao lijek, tako da se protutijela mogu davati ljudima koji su oboljeli od COVID-a, a ne preventivno kao cjepivo da se ljudi ne bi razboljeli - objasnio je za Dnevnik HTV-a dr. Luka Čičin-Šain, virusni imunolog u Centru za infektološka istraživanja u Braunschweigu u Njemačkoj.

U osnovi ono što je napravljeno, kaže, protutijela su kakva tijelo inače razvija, uzimaju se od pojedinaca koji ih imaju, unose u epruvetu i onda se mogu davati drugim ljudima koji takva protutijela još nisu stigli razviti kako bi neutralizirala virus i tako omogućila organizmu da se obrani od infekcije.

Protutijelo je protiv koronavirusa, ali isti princip bi trebao biti valjan i kod drugih infekcija

- Sigurno nismo prvi koji su razvili protutijelo, ima i drugih timova. Poznato je da je i Donald Trump dobio terapiju protutijelima kada se razbolio i to mu je vjerojatno pomoglo, no novost je da smo mi ta protutijela dobili od seruma pojedinaca još puno prije nego što se pandemija pojavila.

Radi se o serumima koji su dobiveni 2018. - 2019., kada taj virus nije ni postojao. Iz njih smo uspjeli izdvojiti ona protutijela koja prepoznaju virus, koja su ga u stanju neutralizirati, i to je vrijednost naše ideje. Ne treba se čekati da netko napravi protutijela kako bismo ih izolirali iz već zaraženih ljudi, nego možemo čim se neka pandemija pojavi, koristeći ovu metodu, izolirati protutijela iz dobrovoljaca koji nikad nisu ni bili inficirani i vrlo brzo početi razvijati lijek koji može kontrolirati virus. Poanta je u brzini djelovanja protiv novih pandemija - naglasio je prof. Čičin-Šain.

Svijet godinu dana poslije u borbi protiv Covid-a

- Svjedoci smo neviđene brzine u razvoju cjepiva, EMA je danas odobrila već četvrto cjepivo koje dolazi na tržište, peto - Sputnjik - uskoro bi također moglo biti odobreno. Dakle, širom svijeta proizvode se cjepiva kojima možemo stati na kraj pandemiji. Normalno se cjepivo razvija i proizvodi oko pet godina, sada se sve događa u godinu dana. Vidimo da tehnologija pomaže i da će koronavirus uskoro biti stvar prošlosti - smatra Čičin-Šain.

Dinamika cijepljenja i nedostatak cjepiva

Čičin-Šain se osvrnuo na pitanje trebaju li zemlje, u nedostatku cjepiva za potrebne dvije doze, sada cijepiti što više stanovništva samo jednom dozom. Kaže da je pitanje komplicirano i da će svaki stručnjak odgovoriti na svoj način.

- Ja smatram da sigurno nije potrebno dati drugu dozu cjepiva tri ili četiri tjedna nakon prve, može se to i odgoditi, ali ne i unedogled. Treba se dati u razumnom roku - od dva ili tri mjeseca.

Treći val pandemije

Čičin-Šain je komentirao situaciju u Njemačkoj gdje je Institut Robert Koch objavio ja je treći val počeo.

- U Njemačkoj zaista brojke rastu, vlada je odlučila otvoriti zemlju i omogućila da se virus širi, nijedan virolog nije zadovoljan sa stanjem - naglasio je.

Potreban plan za Hrvatsku

- U Hrvatskoj također brojke rastu i potreban je plan što se može napraviti, kako se treba reagirati ako se situacija pogorša. Važno je da se brojke spuste prije ljeta kako ne bi propala i turistička sezona - poručio je Čičin Šain.

Objavljena je vijest da je Međunarodni tim znanstvenika Tehničkog sveučilišta u Braunschweigu i Centra za infektivna istraživanja u časopisu Nature Communications objavio članak o razvoju posebnih antitijela protiv koronavirusa.

- Ne radi se o cjepivu, nego o strategiji koja u osnovi djeluje kao lijek, tako da se protutijela mogu davati ljudima koji su oboljeli od COVID-a, a ne preventivno kao cjepivo da se ljudi ne bi razboljeli - objasnio je za Dnevnik HTV-a dr. Luka Čičin-Šain, virusni imunolog u Centru za infektološka istraživanja u Braunschweigu u Njemačkoj.

U osnovi ono što je napravljeno, kaže, protutijela su kakva tijelo inače razvija, uzimaju se od pojedinaca koji ih imaju, unose u epruvetu i onda se mogu davati drugim ljudima koji takva protutijela još nisu stigli razviti kako bi neutralizirala virus i tako omogućila organizmu da se obrani od infekcije.

Protutijelo je protiv koronavirusa, ali isti princip bi trebao biti valjan i kod drugih infekcija

- Sigurno nismo prvi koji su razvili protutijelo, ima i drugih timova. Poznato je da je i Donald Trump dobio terapiju protutijelima kada se razbolio i to mu je vjerojatno pomoglo, no novost je da smo mi ta protutijela dobili od seruma pojedinaca još puno prije nego što se pandemija pojavila.

Radi se o serumima koji su dobiveni 2018. - 2019., kada taj virus nije ni postojao. Iz njih smo uspjeli izdvojiti ona protutijela koja prepoznaju virus, koja su ga u stanju neutralizirati, i to je vrijednost naše ideje. Ne treba se čekati da netko napravi protutijela kako bismo ih izolirali iz već zaraženih ljudi, nego možemo čim se neka pandemija pojavi, koristeći ovu metodu, izolirati protutijela iz dobrovoljaca koji nikad nisu ni bili inficirani i vrlo brzo početi razvijati lijek koji može kontrolirati virus. Poanta je u brzini djelovanja protiv novih pandemija - naglasio je prof. Čičin-Šain.

Svijet godinu dana poslije u borbi protiv Covid-a

- Svjedoci smo neviđene brzine u razvoju cjepiva, EMA je danas odobrila već četvrto cjepivo koje dolazi na tržište, peto - Sputnjik - uskoro bi također moglo biti odobreno. Dakle, širom svijeta proizvode se cjepiva kojima možemo stati na kraj pandemiji. Normalno se cjepivo razvija i proizvodi oko pet godina, sada se sve događa u godinu dana. Vidimo da tehnologija pomaže i da će koronavirus uskoro biti stvar prošlosti - smatra Čičin-Šain.

Dinamika cijepljenja i nedostatak cjepiva

Čičin-Šain se osvrnuo na pitanje trebaju li zemlje, u nedostatku cjepiva za potrebne dvije doze, sada cijepiti što više stanovništva samo jednom dozom. Kaže da je pitanje komplicirano i da će svaki stručnjak odgovoriti na svoj način.

- Ja smatram da sigurno nije potrebno dati drugu dozu cjepiva tri ili četiri tjedna nakon prve, može se to i odgoditi, ali ne i unedogled. Treba se dati u razumnom roku - od dva ili tri mjeseca.

Treći val pandemije

Čičin-Šain je komentirao situaciju u Njemačkoj gdje je Institut Robert Koch objavio ja je treći val počeo.

- U Njemačkoj zaista brojke rastu, vlada je odlučila otvoriti zemlju i omogućila da se virus širi, nijedan virolog nije zadovoljan sa stanjem - naglasio je.

Potreban plan za Hrvatsku

- U Hrvatskoj također brojke rastu i potreban je plan što se može napraviti, kako se treba reagirati ako se situacija pogorša. Važno je da se brojke spuste prije ljeta kako ne bi propala i turistička sezona - poručio je Čičin Šain.

Objavljena je vijest da je Međunarodni tim znanstvenika Tehničkog sveučilišta u Braunschweigu i Centra za infektivna istraživanja u časopisu Nature Communications objavio članak o razvoju posebnih antitijela protiv koronavirusa.

- Ne radi se o cjepivu, nego o strategiji koja u osnovi djeluje kao lijek, tako da se protutijela mogu davati ljudima koji su oboljeli od COVID-a, a ne preventivno kao cjepivo da se ljudi ne bi razboljeli - objasnio je za Dnevnik HTV-a dr. Luka Čičin-Šain, virusni imunolog u Centru za infektološka istraživanja u Braunschweigu u Njemačkoj.

U osnovi ono što je napravljeno, kaže, protutijela su kakva tijelo inače razvija, uzimaju se od pojedinaca koji ih imaju, unose u epruvetu i onda se mogu davati drugim ljudima koji takva protutijela još nisu...
