„Veliki sam pristalica booster doze sa što manjim odmakom od druge doze posebno u svjetlu omikron soja jer se busteriranjem imunost drastično penje, s 20 do 30 posto, na 70 do 80 posto. Neki ugledni američki epidemiolozi čak zastupaju tezu da bi primarno cijepljenje trebalo obuhvaćati tri doze, a nakon toga treba razmišljati o busteriranju s dodatnom, četvrtom dozom. Možda smo i na tom putu“, govori u Zoom intervjuu za Jutarnji list epidemiolog prim. dr. sc. Miroslav Venus, predsjednik Hrvatskog epidemiološkog društva i ravnatelj Županijskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo Virovitičko-podravske županije, 

Svima preporučuje da nakon tri mjeseca od primanja druge doze cjepiva, uzmu i booster dozu. Potvrdno odgovara na pitanje hoće li oni koji sada primaju booster, moći za nekoliko mjeseci primiti i četvrtu dozu novog cjepiva prilagođenog omikron varijanti, a koju farmaceuti već pripremaju i očekuje se da će na proljeće biti spremna.

„Zašto ne?“, ističe Venus i otkriva kako je on osobno primio prve dvije doze Pfizera, a busterirao se s pola doze Moderne. To preporučuje i svojim pacijentima. Ako se pojavi redizajnirano cjepivo s antigenima na tada dominanti soj, vjerojatno omikron, u veljači ili ožujku će se, tvrdi, on njime cijepiti po četvrti put. Smatra da se trebaju cijepiti odnosno docijepiti i oni koji su imunost stekli preboljenjem jer ta zaštita nakon šest mjeseci drastično pada.

„Ne bi se cjepivo ni proizvodilo da covid nije smrtonosna bolest i zato se cijepimo da ne umremo, ali i da zaštitimo druge, posebice one koji se iz medicinskih razloga ne mogu cijepiti. Niti jedno cjepivo ne pruža stopostotnu zaštitu, no oni koji su cijepljeni i ipak se zaraze, u pravilu imaju blaže kliničke slike. Oni koji su preboljeli, a potom se i dva puta cijepili, za sada ne trebaju primiti booster dozu. No, da sam u toj situaciji, ja bih se nakon šest mjeseci od druge doze ipak cijepio boosterom“, ističe Venus pa dodaje kako se ni oni koji su se prvo dvaput cijepili pa onda i preboljeli covid također za sada ne trebaju busterirati, no ako se za koji mjesec pojavi novo cjepivo protiv omikrona, on bi im ipak preporučio da se njime docijepe.

Također, one koji se još nisu cijepili niti jednom dozom, poziva da ne čekaju više ni dana nego da se što prije cijepe. A što misli o cijepljenju djece starije od 5 godina?

„Posebno smo osjetljivi na cijepljenje djece. Djeca s kroničnim bolestima bi se trebala cijepiti. U potpunosti zdrava djeca bi se mogla cijepiti ako žive u obitelji s nekime tko ima teške bolesti. Djeca, kao i odrasle osobe, mogu razviti i post covid sindrom. Stoga bi svi roditelji trebali razmisliti da od toga zaštite svoju djecu. Djeca se od najmlađe dobe cijepe raznim cjepivima, obaveznim i neobaveznim, pa ne razumijem zašto se baš sada digla tolika briga oko cijepljenja djece. Cjepivo djecu može samo zaštititi“, naglašava Venus.

„U Hrvatskoj vjerojatno ima više zaraženih omikron varijantom nego što ih je do sada potvrđeno. Bogatije zemlje više sekvencioniraju pa mogu otkriti više slučajeva. Neki izvori govore o blažoj kliničkoj slici kod omikrona pa je moguće da se neki zaraženi s blažim slikama niti ne javljaju liječnicima“, ističe Venus. Otkriva kako iz Virovitice barem jednom tjedno šalju uzorke u Zagreb na sekvencioniranje, a ponekad i više puta u zadnje vrijeme otkako se ukupan broj pozitivnih smanjio.

Prema njegovim riječima peti val epidemije kod nas još nije nastupio i vjerojatno ćemo tijekom nadolazećih blagdana imati kratku fazu da će se delta smirivati, a omikron još neće krenuti punom silinom. Peti val bi, smatra, mogao krenuti u siječnju.

„Dok nije bilo cjepiva, svi kontakti zaraženih su išli u karantenu. Sada su oni koji su preboljeli ili su cijepljeni izuzeti od obaveze odlaska u samoizolaciju. No nismo ni mi epidemiolozi naivni. Kada zovemo pozitivne osobe, kažu nam da nisu imale kontakte, a onda se dogodi da za nekoliko dana bude pozitivno nekoliko osoba s istim prezimenom. Nikome se ne da u karantenu ako se osjeća zdrav. To je problem“, napominje Venus.

Neki ugledni američki epidemiolozi čak zastupaju tezu da bi primarno cijepljenje trebalo obuhvaćati tri doze, a nakon toga treba razmišljati o busteriranju s dodatnom, četvrtom dozom. Možda smo i na tom putu“, govori u Zoom intervjuu za Jutarnji list epidemiolog prim. dr. sc. Miroslav Venus, predsjednik Hrvatskog epidemiološkog društva i ravnatelj Županijskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo Virovitičko-podravske županije, 

Svima preporučuje da nakon tri mjeseca od primanja druge doze cjepiva, uzmu i booster dozu. Potvrdno odgovara na pitanje hoće li oni koji sada primaju booster, moći za nekoliko mjeseci primiti i četvrtu dozu novog cjepiva prilagođenog omikron varijanti, a koju farmaceuti već pripremaju i očekuje se da će na proljeće biti spremna.

„Zašto ne?“, ističe Venus i otkriva kako je on osobno primio prve dvije doze Pfizera, a busterirao se s pola doze Moderne. To preporučuje i svojim pacijentima. Ako se pojavi redizajnirano cjepivo s antigenima na tada dominanti soj, vjerojatno omikron, u veljači ili ožujku će se, tvrdi, on njime cijepiti po četvrti put. Smatra da se trebaju cijepiti odnosno docijepiti i oni koji su imunost stekli preboljenjem jer ta zaštita nakon šest mjeseci drastično pada.

„Ne bi se cjepivo ni proizvodilo da covid nije smrtonosna bolest i zato se cijepimo da ne umremo, ali i da zaštitimo druge, posebice one koji se iz medicinskih razloga ne mogu cijepiti. Niti jedno cjepivo ne pruža stopostotnu zaštitu, no oni koji su cijepljeni i ipak se zaraze, u pravilu imaju blaže kliničke slike. Oni koji su preboljeli, a potom se i dva puta cijepili, za sada ne trebaju primiti booster dozu. No, da sam u toj situaciji, ja bih se nakon šest mjeseci od druge doze ipak cijepio boosterom“, ističe Venus pa dodaje kako se ni oni koji su se prvo dvaput cijepili pa onda i preboljeli covid također za sada ne trebaju busterirati, no ako se za koji mjesec pojavi novo cjepivo protiv omikrona, on bi im ipak preporučio da se njime docijepe.

Također, one koji se još nisu cijepili niti jednom dozom, poziva da ne čekaju više ni dana nego da se što prije cijepe. A što misli o cijepljenju djece starije od 5 godina?

„Posebno smo osjetljivi na cijepljenje djece. Djeca s kroničnim bolestima bi se trebala cijepiti. U potpunosti zdrava djeca bi se mogla cijepiti ako žive u obitelji s nekime tko ima teške bolesti. Djeca, kao i odrasle osobe, mogu razviti i post covid sindrom. Stoga bi svi roditelji trebali razmisliti da od toga zaštite svoju djecu. Djeca se od najmlađe dobe cijepe raznim cjepivima, obaveznim i neobaveznim, pa ne razumijem zašto se baš sada digla tolika briga oko cijepljenja djece. Cjepivo djecu može samo zaštititi“, naglašava Venus.

„U Hrvatskoj vjerojatno ima više zaraženih omikron varijantom nego što ih je do sada potvrđeno. Bogatije zemlje više sekvencioniraju pa mogu otkriti više slučajeva. Neki izvori govore o blažoj kliničkoj slici kod omikrona pa je moguće da se neki zaraženi s blažim slikama niti ne javljaju liječnicima“, ističe Venus. Otkriva kako iz Virovitice barem jednom tjedno šalju uzorke u Zagreb na sekvencioniranje, a ponekad i više puta u zadnje vrijeme otkako se ukupan broj pozitivnih smanjio.

Prema njegovim riječima peti val epidemije kod nas još nije nastupio i vjerojatno ćemo tijekom nadolazećih blagdana imati kratku fazu da će se delta smirivati, a omikron još neće krenuti punom silinom. Peti val bi, smatra, mogao krenuti u siječnju.

„Dok nije bilo cjepiva, svi kontakti zaraženih su išli u karantenu. Sada su oni koji su preboljeli ili su cijepljeni izuzeti od obaveze odlaska u samoizolaciju. No nismo ni mi epidemiolozi naivni. Kada zovemo pozitivne osobe, kažu nam da nisu imale kontakte, a onda se dogodi da za nekoliko dana bude pozitivno nekoliko osoba s istim prezimenom. Nikome se ne da u karantenu ako se osjeća zdrav. To je problem“, napominje Venus.

„Veliki sam pristalica booster doze sa što manjim odmakom od druge doze posebno u svjetlu omikron soja jer se busteriranjem imunost drastično penje, s 20 do 30 posto, na 70 do 80 posto.
