Ravnateljica Klinike za infektivne bolesti “Dr. Fran Mihaljević” prof. dr Alemka Markotić komentirala je tvrdnje znanstvenika Gordana Lauca koji je naveo da su cijepljeni generatori novih varijanti virusa.

“Godinama se istražuje ponašanje virusa i to je kompleksno pitanje. Ono što se može reći u tom kontekstu stvaranja novih varijanti jest, da gdje god ostavimo prostora virusu on će se pokušati snaći kako bi napravio nešto u svom genomu da se dalje širi. Ako mu zatvarate vrata, a to je cijepljenje, on će potruditi da nađe nove načine i oblike kako bi izazvao infekciju. Ali, ako mu niste brzo zatvorili vrata, on će uspjeti. Da su se ljudi odazvali u velikom broju na cijepljenje i da imamo procijepljenost 80 posto, onda bismo virusu brzo zatvorili vrata i ne bi imao previše vremena da nađe novi put da se širi. Oni koji su cijepljeni su sigurniji, ali dok je oko njih puno necijepljenih, svi smo u opasnosti”, kazala je dr. Alemka Markotić.

Član Vladina Znanstvenog savjeta Gordan Lauc pak danas je u podužem postu naveo kako su cijepljene osobe generatori novih varijanti virusa. Evo što je napisao:

- Cijepljenje je jedno od najvećih otkrića medicine, no cjepiva nisu univerzalna rješenja za sve. Kao što vidimo u brojnim zemljama, SARS-CoV-2 se učinkovito širi i među cijepljenima. Sada i vrhovno UK savjetodavno tijelo 'SAGE' kaže: "The combination of high prevalence and high levels of vaccination creates the conditions in which an immune escape variant is most likely to emerge" (tj. upravo cijepljeni, a ne ne-cijepljeni su generatori novih virusnih varijanti). To je posebice izraženo kod mRNA i vektorskih cjepiva, budući da je kod njih varijabilnost između antigena minimalna, što znači da će i imuni odgovor na cjepivo biti vrlo usko usmjeren i varijante koje "bježe" cjepivu se mogu razmjerno lako pojaviti – navodi Lauc.

U tom kontekstu, kaže dalje, kako ideja da cijepljenjem štitimo druge naprosto nema biološke logike.

„Cijepljenjem se trebaju štititi oni koji imaju visok rizik za teški oblik bolesti (tu računam i sebe i zato sam se i ja cijepio kad mi je pala razina protutijela, iako sam prebolio COVID-19 prije godinu dana), a oni kod kojih je rizik teškog oblika bolesti mali puno će učinkovitije štititi rizične ako prebole COVID-19. U kontaktu sa čitavim živim virusom i svim varijantama koje nastanu zbog njegove nepotpuno točne replikacije, osobe koje prebole COVID-19 razvijaju puno širi imuni odgovor koji je onda puno otporniji na neke buduće nove varijante. To sada jasno vidimo jer se delta varijanta učinkovito širi među cijepljenima, poneki cijepljeni razvijaju i teški oblik bolesti, no kod onih koji su preboljeli COVID-19 čak i prije više od godinu dana to se izgleda ne događa u značajnijem broju – tumači Lauc.

Ravnateljica Klinike za infektivne bolesti “Dr. Fran Mihaljević” prof. dr Alemka Markotić komentirala je tvrdnje znanstvenika Gordana Lauca koji je naveo da su cijepljeni generatori novih varijanti virusa.

“Godinama se istražuje ponašanje virusa i to je kompleksno pitanje. Ono što se može reći u tom kontekstu stvaranja novih varijanti jest, da gdje god ostavimo prostora virusu on će se pokušati snaći kako bi napravio nešto u svom genomu da se dalje širi. Ako mu zatvarate vrata, a to je cijepljenje, on će potruditi da nađe nove načine i oblike kako bi izazvao infekciju. Ali, ako mu niste brzo zatvorili vrata, on će uspjeti. Da su se ljudi odazvali u velikom broju na cijepljenje i da imamo procijepljenost 80 posto, onda bismo virusu brzo zatvorili vrata i ne bi imao previše vremena da nađe novi put da se širi. Oni koji su cijepljeni su sigurniji, ali dok je oko njih puno necijepljenih, svi smo u opasnosti”, kazala je dr. Alemka Markotić.

Član Vladina Znanstvenog savjeta Gordan Lauc pak danas je u podužem postu naveo kako su cijepljene osobe generatori novih varijanti virusa. Evo što je napisao:

- Cijepljenje je jedno od najvećih otkrića medicine, no cjepiva nisu univerzalna rješenja za sve. Kao što vidimo u brojnim zemljama, SARS-CoV-2 se učinkovito širi i među cijepljenima. Sada i vrhovno UK savjetodavno tijelo 'SAGE' kaže: "The combination of high prevalence and high levels of vaccination creates the conditions in which an immune escape variant is most likely to emerge" (tj. upravo cijepljeni, a ne ne-cijepljeni su generatori novih virusnih varijanti). To je posebice izraženo kod mRNA i vektorskih cjepiva, budući da je kod njih varijabilnost između antigena minimalna, što znači da će i imuni odgovor na cjepivo biti vrlo usko usmjeren i varijante koje "bježe" cjepivu se mogu razmjerno lako pojaviti – navodi Lauc.

U tom kontekstu, kaže dalje, kako ideja da cijepljenjem štitimo druge naprosto nema biološke logike.

„Cijepljenjem se trebaju štititi oni koji imaju visok rizik za teški oblik bolesti (tu računam i sebe i zato sam se i ja cijepio kad mi je pala razina protutijela, iako sam prebolio COVID-19 prije godinu dana), a oni kod kojih je rizik teškog oblika bolesti mali puno će učinkovitije štititi rizične ako prebole COVID-19. U kontaktu sa čitavim živim virusom i svim varijantama koje nastanu zbog njegove nepotpuno točne replikacije, osobe koje prebole COVID-19 razvijaju puno širi imuni odgovor koji je onda puno otporniji na neke buduće nove varijante. To sada jasno vidimo jer se delta varijanta učinkovito širi među cijepljenima, poneki cijepljeni razvijaju i teški oblik bolesti, no kod onih koji su preboljeli COVID-19 čak i prije više od godinu dana to se izgleda ne događa u značajnijem broju – tumači Lauc.

Ravnateljica Klinike za infektivne bolesti “Dr. Fran Mihaljević” prof. dr Alemka Markotić komentirala je tvrdnje znanstvenika Gordana Lauca koji je naveo da su cijepljeni generatori novih varijanti virusa.

“Godinama se istražuje ponašanje virusa i to je kompleksno pitanje. Ono što se može reći u tom kontekstu stvaranja novih varijanti jest, da gdje god ostavimo prostora virusu on će se pokušati snaći kako bi napravio nešto u svom genomu da se dalje širi. Ako mu zatvarate vrata, a to je cijepljenje, on će potruditi da nađe nove načine i oblike kako bi izazvao infekciju. Ali, ako mu niste brzo zatvorili vrata, on će uspjeti. Da su se ljudi odazvali u velikom broju na cijepljenje i da imamo procijepljenost 80 posto, onda bismo virusu brzo zatvorili vrata i ne bi imao...
