Nogomet nije uvijek bio ovakva industrija i ponekad rasipanje novca. Nekad se igralo duškom i srcem, a ne samo za bogate ugovore i zbog toga mnogi poznati igrači nisu riješili svoju egzistenciju unatoč vrhunskim karijerama.

Jedan od takvih je i paragvajska legenda Apolinar Paniagua koji već godinama živi na ulici. Nekadašnji napadač, koji je je igrao za reprezentaciju Paragvaja, nastupao za najveće kluboe u toj zemlji poput Olimpije, Guaranija i Libertada na utakmicama Copa Libertadoresa, danas ima 77 godina.

Prošle godine našao se u centru pozornosti kada je snimljen na ulici kako odgovara na pitanja jedne žene i nabraja svoje uspjehe u karijeri. I tada je bio u katastrofalnom stanju, sjedio je na ulici, bez obuće u derutnoj odjeći. Zbog toga su mu mnogi korisnici na društvenim mrežama ponudili pomoć.

Godinu dana kasnije njegova situacija se i nije previše promijenila. Boravi u ruševnoj kući blizu istog tog parka, te uživa gledajući svoje unuke kako igraju nogomet. Zanimljivo je da u blizini tog parka, gotovo u istoj ulici žive i njegovi sinovi, ali ga ne žele primiti u kuću i brinuti se o njemu. Jedino mu je društvo lokalni brijač koji svrati do parka kako bi ga ošišao i obrijao na klupi, a njegova supruga mu donese i hrane, te ostalih potrepština.   

Apolinar Paniagua rođen je 23. srpnja 1946. u Yaguarónu. Osim ekipa u kojima je igrao u Paragvaju, igrao je i za Antofagastu (Čile), Deportivo Pereira (Kolumbija) i Tampico Madero (Meksiko). Godine 1972. stigao je do Millionairesa koji te sezone nisu uključivali igrače iz Argentine ili Brazila kao inače, već su nova pojačanja bili Paniagua i njegov sunarodnjak Miguel Angel Sossa. Stigao je do titule prvaka, Paniagura se također pamti po tome što je postigao 2000. gol u povijesti Millonariosa 20. svibnja 1973. godine.

Ljudi koji ga viđaju svakodnevno u parku su tražili i pomoć od države zbog svog doprinosa paragavajskom nogometu, ali pomoć je za sada izostala, nitko nije voljan nešto napraviti da ovoj ikoni olakša život.

Nogomet nije uvijek bio ovakva industrija i ponekad rasipanje novca. Nekad se igralo duškom i srcem, a ne samo za bogate ugovore i zbog toga mnogi poznati igrači nisu riješili svoju egzistenciju unatoč vrhunskim karijerama.

Jedan od takvih je i paragvajska legenda Apolinar Paniagua koji već godinama živi na ulici. Nekadašnji napadač, koji je je igrao za reprezentaciju Paragvaja, nastupao za najveće kluboe u toj zemlji poput Olimpije, Guaranija i Libertada na utakmicama Copa Libertadoresa, danas ima 77 godina.

Prošle godine našao se u centru pozornosti kada je snimljen na ulici kako odgovara na pitanja jedne žene i nabraja svoje uspjehe u karijeri. I tada je bio u katastrofalnom stanju, sjedio je na ulici, bez obuće u derutnoj odjeći. Zbog toga su mu mnogi korisnici na društvenim mrežama ponudili pomoć.

Godinu dana kasnije njegova situacija se i nije previše promijenila. Boravi u ruševnoj kući blizu istog tog parka, te uživa gledajući svoje unuke kako igraju nogomet. Zanimljivo je da u blizini tog parka, gotovo u istoj ulici žive i njegovi sinovi, ali ga ne žele primiti u kuću i brinuti se o njemu. Jedino mu je društvo lokalni brijač koji svrati do parka kako bi ga ošišao i obrijao na klupi, a njegova supruga mu donese i hrane, te ostalih potrepština.   

Apolinar Paniagua rođen je 23. srpnja 1946. u Yaguarónu. Osim ekipa u kojima je igrao u Paragvaju, igrao je i za Antofagastu (Čile), Deportivo Pereira (Kolumbija) i Tampico Madero (Meksiko). Godine 1972. stigao je do Millionairesa koji te sezone nisu uključivali igrače iz Argentine ili Brazila kao inače, već su nova pojačanja bili Paniagua i njegov sunarodnjak Miguel Angel Sossa. Stigao je do titule prvaka, Paniagura se također pamti po tome što je postigao 2000. gol u povijesti Millonariosa 20. svibnja 1973. godine.

Ljudi koji ga viđaju svakodnevno u parku su tražili i pomoć od države zbog svog doprinosa paragavajskom nogometu, ali pomoć je za sada izostala, nitko nije voljan nešto napraviti da ovoj ikoni olakša život.

Nogomet nije uvijek bio ovakva industrija i ponekad rasipanje novca. Nekad se igralo duškom i srcem, a ne samo za bogate ugovore i zbog toga mnogi poznati igrači nisu riješili svoju egzistenciju unatoč vrhunskim karijerama.

Jedan od takvih je i paragvajska legenda Apolinar Paniagua koji već godinama živi na ulici. Nekadašnji napadač, koji je je igrao za reprezentaciju Paragvaja, nastupao za najveće kluboe u toj zemlji poput Olimpije, Guaranija i Libertada na utakmicama Copa Libertadoresa, danas ima 77 godina.

Prošle godine našao se u centru pozornosti kada je snimljen na ulici kako odgovara na pitanja jedne žene i nabraja svoje uspjehe u karijeri. I tada je bio u katastrofalnom stanju, sjedio je na ulici, bez obuće u derutnoj odjeći. Zbog toga su mu mnogi korisnici na društvenim mrežama ponudili pomoć.

Godinu dana kasnije njegova situacija se i nije previše promijenila. Boravi u ruševnoj kući blizu istog tog parka, te uživa gledajući svoje unuke kako igraju nogomet. Zanimljivo je da u blizini tog parka, gotovo u istoj ulici žive i njegovi sinovi, ali ga ne žele primiti u kuću i brinuti se o njemu. Jedino mu je društvo lokalni brijač koji svrati do parka kako bi ga ošišao i obrijao na klupi, a njegova supruga mu donese i hrane, te ostalih potrepština.   

Apolinar Paniagua rođen je 23. srpnja 1946. u Yaguarónu. Osim ekipa u kojima je igrao u Paragvaju, igrao je i za Antofagastu (Čile), Deportivo Pereira (Kolumbija) i Tampico Madero (Meksiko).
