Mary Lou Retton (55), jedna od najboljih američkih gimnastičarka u povijesti i velika zvijezda Olimpijskih igara u Los Angelesu 1984., bori se za život - pišu Sportske novosti.

Njezina kći McKenna Lane Kelley putem Instagrama je otkrila da je majku zahvatio rijedak oblik upale pluća zbog koje ne može sama disati stoga se nalazi na jedinici intenzivne njege. Istovremeno je pokrenula fundraising kampanju u kojoj se nada skupiti 50.000 dolara jer Retton nema zdravstveno osiguranje.

"Majka je sad već tjedan dana na intenzivnoj njezi. Iz poštovanja prema njezinoj privatnosti neću iznositi detalje. Bilo kakva pomoć bila bi toliko dobrodošla meni i mojoj obitelji", objavila je Kelley.

Retton je u Los Angelesu postala prva Amerikanka koja je osvojila naslov olimpijske pobjednice u višeboju. Kao jedna od najvećih zvijezda 1984., također je osvojila srebrnu medalju na preskoku, broncu na dvovisinskim ručama i vježbama na parteru, te pomogla odvesti Sjedinjene Države do srebrne medalje u ekipnom natjecanju.

Postala je ikona, a mnogi su je smatrali inspiracijom za novu generaciju djevojaka koje ulaze u gimnastiku. Sve do 2004. i pojave Carly Patterson, bila je jedina Amerikanka koja je osvojila naslov u višeboju.

Nakon sportske karijere, Retton je počela držati motivacijske govore za promicanje dobrobiti pravilne prehrane i redovite tjelovježbe.

Mary Lou Retton (55), jedna od najboljih američkih gimnastičarka u povijesti i velika zvijezda Olimpijskih igara u Los Angelesu 1984., bori se za život - pišu Sportske novosti.

Njezina kći McKenna Lane Kelley putem Instagrama je otkrila da je majku zahvatio rijedak oblik upale pluća zbog koje ne može sama disati stoga se nalazi na jedinici intenzivne njege. Istovremeno je pokrenula fundraising kampanju u kojoj se nada skupiti 50.000 dolara jer Retton nema zdravstveno osiguranje.

"Majka je sad već tjedan dana na intenzivnoj njezi. Iz poštovanja prema njezinoj privatnosti neću iznositi detalje. Bilo kakva pomoć bila bi toliko dobrodošla meni i mojoj obitelji", objavila je Kelley.

Retton je u Los Angelesu postala prva Amerikanka koja je osvojila naslov olimpijske pobjednice u višeboju. Kao jedna od najvećih zvijezda 1984., također je osvojila srebrnu medalju na preskoku, broncu na dvovisinskim ručama i vježbama na parteru, te pomogla odvesti Sjedinjene Države do srebrne medalje u ekipnom natjecanju.

Postala je ikona, a mnogi su je smatrali inspiracijom za novu generaciju djevojaka koje ulaze u gimnastiku. Sve do 2004. i pojave Carly Patterson, bila je jedina Amerikanka koja je osvojila naslov u višeboju.

Nakon sportske karijere, Retton je počela držati motivacijske govore za promicanje dobrobiti pravilne prehrane i redovite tjelovježbe.

Mary Lou Retton (55), jedna od najboljih američkih gimnastičarka u povijesti i velika zvijezda Olimpijskih igara u Los Angelesu 1984., bori se za život - pišu Sportske novosti.

Njezina kći McKenna Lane Kelley putem Instagrama je otkrila da je majku zahvatio rijedak oblik upale pluća zbog koje ne može sama disati stoga se nalazi na jedinici intenzivne njege. Istovremeno je pokrenula fundraising kampanju u kojoj se nada skupiti 50.000 dolara jer Retton nema zdravstveno osiguranje.

"Majka je sad već tjedan dana na intenzivnoj njezi. Iz poštovanja prema njezinoj privatnosti neću iznositi detalje. Bilo kakva pomoć bila bi toliko dobrodošla meni i mojoj obitelji", objavila je Kelley.

Retton je u Los Angelesu postala prva Amerikanka koja je osvojila naslov olimpijske pobjednice u višeboju. Kao jedna od najvećih zvijezda 1984., također je osvojila srebrnu medalju na preskoku, broncu na dvovisinskim ručama i vježbama na parteru, te pomogla odvesti Sjedinjene Države do srebrne medalje u ekipnom natjecanju.

Postala je ikona, a mnogi su je smatrali inspiracijom za novu generaciju djevojaka koje ulaze u gimnastiku. Sve do 2004. i pojave Carly Patterson, bila je jedina Amerikanka koja je osvojila naslov u višeboju.

Nakon sportske karijere, Retton je počela držati motivacijske govore za promicanje dobrobiti pravilne prehrane i redovite tjelovježbe.
