Petra Marčinko osvojila je svoj prvi turnir u profesionalnoj karijeri. Najbolja juniorka svijeta, 16-godišnja Zagrepčanka slavila je u turskoj Antalyji pobijedivši u finalu 279. tenisačicu svijeta Carole Monnet sa 6-4, 6-1. Velika je ovo pobjeda nad puno iskusnijom Francuskinjom koja iza sebe ima već šest ITF naslova.

Prije toga redom su padale, Lukas (predaja), Jeanjean, Cocciaretto i Oz – većina igračica iz top 300. U svom pohodu na prvi trofej u seniorskoj konkurenciji ispustila je samo jedan set. Bilo je to u polufinalu protiv domaće Oz. Svi ostali mečevi završili su s glatkih 2-0 u setovima, a posebno uvjerljiva bila je protiv osme nositeljice Talijanke Cocciaretto koju je pobijedila sa 6-2, 6-1.

Marčinko će prvim osvojenim turnirom značajno napredovati na WTA rankingu koji će joj se gotovo „prepoloviti”. S 928. će skočiti na 572. mjesto – novi ranking karijere. Ne sumnjamo kako će u skoroj budućnosti napredovati još i više jer ovo je tek bio njezin debi na nekom seniorskom turniru.

Hrvatska već dugo nije imala ovakvu uzdanicu u ženskom tenisu. U konkurenciji juniorki najbolja je na svijetu, a to je potvrdila i ranije ove godine kada je osvojila juniorski Australian Open. Lani je, podsjetimo, dvaput u istoj godini uzela trofej prestižnog Orange Bowla u SAD-u.

Sveukupno, pobjeda u finalu Antalyje bila joj je 17. zaredom, a 11. u ovoj godini. Sjajno napreduje karijera mlade Marčinko. Prije nekoliko godina proglašena je najboljom na svijetu u konkurenciji do 14 godina. Lani je na juniorskom US Opena stigla do četvrtfinala, dok je ove godine kao prva nositeljica „pokorila” Australiju.

Pred njom je, prema svemu sudeći, blistava seniorska karijera, bude li se sve razvijalo prema planu.

Petra Marčinko osvojila je svoj prvi turnir u profesionalnoj karijeri. Najbolja juniorka svijeta, 16-godišnja Zagrepčanka slavila je u turskoj Antalyji pobijedivši u finalu 279. tenisačicu svijeta Carole Monnet sa 6-4, 6-1. Velika je ovo pobjeda nad puno iskusnijom Francuskinjom koja iza sebe ima već šest ITF naslova.

Prije toga redom su padale, Lukas (predaja), Jeanjean, Cocciaretto i Oz – većina igračica iz top 300. U svom pohodu na prvi trofej u seniorskoj konkurenciji ispustila je samo jedan set. Bilo je to u polufinalu protiv domaće Oz. Svi ostali mečevi završili su s glatkih 2-0 u setovima, a posebno uvjerljiva bila je protiv osme nositeljice Talijanke Cocciaretto koju je pobijedila sa 6-2, 6-1.

Marčinko će prvim osvojenim turnirom značajno napredovati na WTA rankingu koji će joj se gotovo „prepoloviti”. S 928. će skočiti na 572. mjesto – novi ranking karijere. Ne sumnjamo kako će u skoroj budućnosti napredovati još i više jer ovo je tek bio njezin debi na nekom seniorskom turniru.

Hrvatska već dugo nije imala ovakvu uzdanicu u ženskom tenisu. U konkurenciji juniorki najbolja je na svijetu, a to je potvrdila i ranije ove godine kada je osvojila juniorski Australian Open. Lani je, podsjetimo, dvaput u istoj godini uzela trofej prestižnog Orange Bowla u SAD-u.

Sveukupno, pobjeda u finalu Antalyje bila joj je 17. zaredom, a 11. u ovoj godini. Sjajno napreduje karijera mlade Marčinko. Prije nekoliko godina proglašena je najboljom na svijetu u konkurenciji do 14 godina. Lani je na juniorskom US Opena stigla do četvrtfinala, dok je ove godine kao prva nositeljica „pokorila” Australiju.

Pred njom je, prema svemu sudeći, blistava seniorska karijera, bude li se sve razvijalo prema planu.

Petra Marčinko osvojila je svoj prvi turnir u profesionalnoj karijeri. Najbolja juniorka svijeta, 16-godišnja Zagrepčanka slavila je u turskoj Antalyji pobijedivši u finalu 279. tenisačicu svijeta Carole Monnet sa 6-4, 6-1. Velika je ovo pobjeda nad puno iskusnijom Francuskinjom koja iza sebe ima već šest ITF naslova.

Prije toga redom su padale, Lukas (predaja), Jeanjean, Cocciaretto i Oz – većina igračica iz top 300. U svom pohodu na prvi trofej u seniorskoj konkurenciji ispustila je samo jedan set. Bilo je to u polufinalu protiv domaće Oz. Svi ostali mečevi završili su s glatkih 2-0 u setovima, a posebno uvjerljiva bila je protiv osme nositeljice Talijanke Cocciaretto koju je pobijedila sa 6-2, 6-1.

Marčinko će prvim osvojenim turnirom značajno napredovati na WTA...
