Otočki mediji nisu propustili primijetiti da se na sudu u Londonu pojavio noseći kravatu u bojama Wimbledona. Turnira koji ga je proslavio još kao tinejdžera, turnira koji ga je lansirao među zvijezde... Slučajno ili ne, boje Wimbledona odabrao je i za dan koji će označiti njegov konačan pad, za dan kada će ga londonski sud poslati na dvije i pol godine u zatvor, pišu Sportske novosti.

Boris Becker (54), teniska ikona osamdesetih i devedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, osuđen je jer je nakon proglašenja osobnog bankrota 2017. godine propustio poštovati odredbe za otkrivanje financijskih podataka. Proglašen je krivim za skrivanje imovine od stečajnih izvršitelja u Velikoj Britaniji i Njemačkoj, a tužiteljstvo je procijenilo da je prevario nadležne za oko 2,5 milijuna funti. Pokušao je prikriti bankovni zajam od 825.000 eura, dionice u jednoj tehnološkoj tvrtki, vlasništvo nad kućom vrijednom više od milijun funti, a dio novca je prenio i drugim osobama, uključujući bivše supruge Barbaru i Sharley.

Beckerov osobni bankrot rezultat je neplaćenog zajma od više od tri milijuna funti na njegovu vilu na Mallorci. U trenutku bankrota njegovi dugovi su procijenjeni na čak 50 milijuna funti. Porotnicima je rekao da je 50 milijuna dolara, koliko je zaradio tijekom karijere, progutao skupi razvod od prve supruge Barbare, uzdržavanje djece i “skupe životne obaveze”.

Sud u Münchenu još ga je 2002. osudio na dvije godine uvjetne zatvorske kazne i novčanu kaznu od 300.000 eura zbog utaje poreza. Sutkinja u Londonu mu je u petak, pak, odredila da će u zatvoru provesti pola od dosuđenog vremena, odnosno jednu godinu i tri mjeseca.

Među vrijednostima koje je skrivao bio je i trofej za pobjedu na Wimbledonu 1985. godine. Mlađahni Nijemac iz Leimena šokirao je tada teniski svijet, osvojivši najveći svjetski turnir sa samo 17 godina i 227 dana. Bio je prvi nepostavljeni pobjednik u All England Clubu i u tom trenutku najmlađi osvajač Grand Slam turnira u pojedinačnoj konkurenciji. Dvije godine kasnije taj je rekord srušio Michael Chang, osvojivši Roland Garros sa 17 godina i 110 dana. Becker je naslov na “svetoj travi” obranio 1986., pobijedivši u finalu prvog igrača svijeta Ivana Lendla.

- Plan mojih roditelja bio je da završim školu, idem na fakultet i steknem neku vrijednu diplomu. Posljednja stvar na pameti bila im je da ću postati teniski profesionalac - rekao je tada.

Na Wimbledonu je trijumfirao i 1989., svladavši u finalu velikog rivala Stefana Edberga. Otočka publika ga je obožavala, a mediji su ga nazivali omiljenim Nijemcem među Britancima. I sam se našalio na tu temu nakon poraza od Petea Samprasa u finalu 1995. godine.

- Mislim da sam na vrhu vrlo kratke liste obožavanih Nijemaca u Velikoj Britaniji - rekao je nakon što je istrčao počasni krug na središnjem terenu.

Njegov brz i snažan servis priskrbio mu je nadimke ‘Boom Boom’ i ‘Der Bomber’, zvali su ga i ‘Baron Von Slam’, a njegov leteći volej postao mu je zaštitni znak.

No, nakon završetka teniske karijere, kola su mu polako, ali sigurno počela kliziti nizbrdo. Privatni život nikad nije znao držati pod kontrolom i to ga je u konačnici odvelo najprije u bankrot, a onda i u zatvor. Ključni trenutak koji ga je gurnuo niz stepenice vjerojatno je bila jednokratna afera s ruskom konobaricom Angelom Ermakovom.

Kako je sâm opisao u autobiografiji objavljenoj 2003. godine, samo nekoliko sati nakon što je suprugu Barbaru zbog trudova odveo u bolnicu, u jednom se londonskom restoranu spetljao s Ermakovom. Nakon nekoliko minuta razgovora završili su u spremištu za metle, a poslije obavljenog posla Becker je otišao iz restorana i mislio je da je ta priča završena.

No, osam mjeseci kasnije, primio je fax od Ermakove koja ga je obavijestila da će postati otac. Nakon prvotnog šoka priznao je očinstvo, a supruzi Barbari, s kojom ima dva sina, u procesu razvoda isplatio je gotovo 15 milijuna dolara. I dalje je na računu imao veliko bogatstvo, ali jednostavno se nije znao kontrolirati. Nesmiljeno je trošio novac, išao iz afere u aferu i nezaustavljivo srljao u propast.

Bio je kratko zaručen s Alessandrom Meyer-Wölden, kćeri svoga menadžera, a potom se 2009. oženio s nizozemskom manekenkom Sharley Kerssenberg s kojom je dobio još jednog sina. Par se rastao nakon devet godina braka, a u petak se Becker na sudu pojavio s novom partnericom, Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro.

Od umirovljenja se okušao na različitim područjima - bio je trener Novaku Đokoviću, radio je kao televizijski komentator, sudjelovao na profesionalnim turnirima u pokeru... Za sve je to bio plaćen, ali novca mu nikad nije bilo dovoljno. Silne alimentacije, ali još više želja za nastavkom života na visokoj nozi, u konačnici su ga odvele u provaliju.

Otočki mediji nisu propustili primijetiti da se na sudu u Londonu pojavio noseći kravatu u bojama Wimbledona. Turnira koji ga je proslavio još kao tinejdžera, turnira koji ga je lansirao među zvijezde... Slučajno ili ne, boje Wimbledona odabrao je i za dan koji će označiti njegov konačan pad, za dan kada će ga londonski sud poslati na dvije i pol godine u zatvor, pišu Sportske novosti.

Boris Becker (54), teniska ikona osamdesetih i devedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, osuđen je jer je nakon proglašenja osobnog bankrota 2017. godine propustio poštovati odredbe za otkrivanje financijskih podataka. Proglašen je krivim za skrivanje imovine od stečajnih izvršitelja u Velikoj Britaniji i Njemačkoj, a tužiteljstvo je procijenilo da je prevario nadležne za oko 2,5 milijuna funti. Pokušao je prikriti bankovni zajam od 825.000 eura, dionice u jednoj tehnološkoj tvrtki, vlasništvo nad kućom vrijednom više od milijun funti, a dio novca je prenio i drugim osobama, uključujući bivše supruge Barbaru i Sharley.

Beckerov osobni bankrot rezultat je neplaćenog zajma od više od tri milijuna funti na njegovu vilu na Mallorci. U trenutku bankrota njegovi dugovi su procijenjeni na čak 50 milijuna funti. Porotnicima je rekao da je 50 milijuna dolara, koliko je zaradio tijekom karijere, progutao skupi razvod od prve supruge Barbare, uzdržavanje djece i “skupe životne obaveze”.

Sud u Münchenu još ga je 2002. osudio na dvije godine uvjetne zatvorske kazne i novčanu kaznu od 300.000 eura zbog utaje poreza. Sutkinja u Londonu mu je u petak, pak, odredila da će u zatvoru provesti pola od dosuđenog vremena, odnosno jednu godinu i tri mjeseca.

Među vrijednostima koje je skrivao bio je i trofej za pobjedu na Wimbledonu 1985. godine. Mlađahni Nijemac iz Leimena šokirao je tada teniski svijet, osvojivši najveći svjetski turnir sa samo 17 godina i 227 dana. Bio je prvi nepostavljeni pobjednik u All England Clubu i u tom trenutku najmlađi osvajač Grand Slam turnira u pojedinačnoj konkurenciji. Dvije godine kasnije taj je rekord srušio Michael Chang, osvojivši Roland Garros sa 17 godina i 110 dana. Becker je naslov na “svetoj travi” obranio 1986., pobijedivši u finalu prvog igrača svijeta Ivana Lendla.

- Plan mojih roditelja bio je da završim školu, idem na fakultet i steknem neku vrijednu diplomu. Posljednja stvar na pameti bila im je da ću postati teniski profesionalac - rekao je tada.

Na Wimbledonu je trijumfirao i 1989., svladavši u finalu velikog rivala Stefana Edberga. Otočka publika ga je obožavala, a mediji su ga nazivali omiljenim Nijemcem među Britancima. I sam se našalio na tu temu nakon poraza od Petea Samprasa u finalu 1995. godine.

- Mislim da sam na vrhu vrlo kratke liste obožavanih Nijemaca u Velikoj Britaniji - rekao je nakon što je istrčao počasni krug na središnjem terenu.

Njegov brz i snažan servis priskrbio mu je nadimke ‘Boom Boom’ i ‘Der Bomber’, zvali su ga i ‘Baron Von Slam’, a njegov leteći volej postao mu je zaštitni znak.

No, nakon završetka teniske karijere, kola su mu polako, ali sigurno počela kliziti nizbrdo. Privatni život nikad nije znao držati pod kontrolom i to ga je u konačnici odvelo najprije u bankrot, a onda i u zatvor. Ključni trenutak koji ga je gurnuo niz stepenice vjerojatno je bila jednokratna afera s ruskom konobaricom Angelom Ermakovom.

Kako je sâm opisao u autobiografiji objavljenoj 2003. godine, samo nekoliko sati nakon što je suprugu Barbaru zbog trudova odveo u bolnicu, u jednom se londonskom restoranu spetljao s Ermakovom. Nakon nekoliko minuta razgovora završili su u spremištu za metle, a poslije obavljenog posla Becker je otišao iz restorana i mislio je da je ta priča završena.

No, osam mjeseci kasnije, primio je fax od Ermakove koja ga je obavijestila da će postati otac. Nakon prvotnog šoka priznao je očinstvo, a supruzi Barbari, s kojom ima dva sina, u procesu razvoda isplatio je gotovo 15 milijuna dolara. I dalje je na računu imao veliko bogatstvo, ali jednostavno se nije znao kontrolirati. Nesmiljeno je trošio novac, išao iz afere u aferu i nezaustavljivo srljao u propast.

Bio je kratko zaručen s Alessandrom Meyer-Wölden, kćeri svoga menadžera, a potom se 2009. oženio s nizozemskom manekenkom Sharley Kerssenberg s kojom je dobio još jednog sina. Par se rastao nakon devet godina braka, a u petak se Becker na sudu pojavio s novom partnericom, Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro.

Od umirovljenja se okušao na različitim područjima - bio je trener Novaku Đokoviću, radio je kao televizijski komentator, sudjelovao na profesionalnim turnirima u pokeru... Za sve je to bio plaćen, ali novca mu nikad nije bilo dovoljno. Silne alimentacije, ali još više želja za nastavkom života na visokoj nozi, u konačnici su ga odvele u provaliju.
