Mlada 16-godišnja hrvatska tenisačica Petra Marčinko osvajačica je Grand Slam turnira Australian Open u juniorskoj konkurenciji.

U finalnom susretu Marčinko, inača trenutačno najbolja svjetska juniorka, je svladala također 16-godišnju belgijsku tenisačicu Sofiju Costoulas sa 7-5, 6-1 nakon jednog sata i 16 minuta igre.

Hrvatska tenisačica prva je u meču došla do prednosti te je kod 1-1 po prvi puta oduzela suparnici servis. No, Costoulas je brzo uzvratila te je od 1-3 nanizala tri gema i uspostavila ravnotežu u meču.

No, sljedeći break koji je napravila Marčinko bio je ključan. Dogodio se kod 5-5 nakon čega je hrvatska tenisačica i odservirala za prvi set.

Takav kraj prvog seta utjecao je na obje tenisačice, a drugi set Marčinko je otvorila s dva breaka, bijegom na 4-0 i rješenjem meča.

U dvoboju je Marčinko osvojila gotovo 20 poena više od suparnice (68-49), a imala je i dvostruko više izravnih poena (22-11). Iskoristila je 5 od 7 break lopti, dok je mlada belgijska tenisačica imala tri takve šanse i napravila je jedan break.

Marčinko je postala već četvrta hrvatska tenisačica koja je osvojila juniorski dio turnira Australian Opena. Naime, prije nje su to uspjele Mirjana Lučić 1997., Jelena Kostanić 1998. i Ana Konjuh 2013. godine.

Mlada 16-godišnja hrvatska tenisačica Petra Marčinko osvajačica je Grand Slam turnira Australian Open u juniorskoj konkurenciji.

U finalnom susretu Marčinko, inača trenutačno najbolja svjetska juniorka, je svladala također 16-godišnju belgijsku tenisačicu Sofiju Costoulas sa 7-5, 6-1 nakon jednog sata i 16 minuta igre.

Hrvatska tenisačica prva je u meču došla do prednosti te je kod 1-1 po prvi puta oduzela suparnici servis. No, Costoulas je brzo uzvratila te je od 1-3 nanizala tri gema i uspostavila ravnotežu u meču.

No, sljedeći break koji je napravila Marčinko bio je ključan. Dogodio se kod 5-5 nakon čega je hrvatska tenisačica i odservirala za prvi set.

Takav kraj prvog seta utjecao je na obje tenisačice, a drugi set Marčinko je otvorila s dva breaka, bijegom na 4-0 i rješenjem meča.

U dvoboju je Marčinko osvojila gotovo 20 poena više od suparnice (68-49), a imala je i dvostruko više izravnih poena (22-11). Iskoristila je 5 od 7 break lopti, dok je mlada belgijska tenisačica imala tri takve šanse i napravila je jedan break.

Marčinko je postala već četvrta hrvatska tenisačica koja je osvojila juniorski dio turnira Australian Opena. Naime, prije nje su to uspjele Mirjana Lučić 1997., Jelena Kostanić 1998. i Ana Konjuh 2013. godine.

Hrvatska senzacija osvojila juniorski Australian Open! Petra Marčinko uvjerljivo nadigrala Belgijanku Costoulas i došla do velikog trofeja

Mlada 16-godišnja hrvatska tenisačica Petra Marčinko osvajačica je Grand Slam turnira Australian Open u juniorskoj konkurenciji.

U finalnom susretu Marčinko, inača trenutačno najbolja svjetska juniorka, je svladala također 16-godišnju belgijsku tenisačicu Sofiju Costoulas sa 7-5, 6-1 nakon jednog sata i 16 minuta igre.

Hrvatska tenisačica prva je u meču došla do prednosti te je kod 1-1 po prvi puta oduzela suparnici servis. No, Costoulas je brzo uzvratila te je od 1-3 nanizala tri gema i uspostavila ravnotežu u meču.

No, sljedeći break koji je napravila Marčinko bio je ključan. Dogodio se kod 5-5 nakon čega je hrvatska tenisačica i odservirala za prvi set.
