Vrijeme velike trojke (povremeno i četvorke kada bi Andy Murray bio zdrav) neminovno se bliži kraju. Bilo je i vrijeme... Novak Đoković, Rafael Nadal i Roger Federer traju već toliko dugo da se gotovo i ne sjećamo tko je „vodio kolo” prije njih. Iako, ne zaboravimo, i ove godine će se za najveće titule većinom pitati njih. Federera, doduše, već odavno nema u akciji i pitanje je hoće li ga biti.

Ali zato su tu mladi lavovi. Predvodi ih Španjolac Carlos Alcaraz koji je usprkos tek 19 godina života svojim rezultatima prestao biti senzacija. Polako hvata kontinuitet vrhunskih ostvarenja, daleko je dogurao i na Roland Garrosu. Već sada je šesti reket svijeta.

 Nešto niže su i spomenuti Skandinavci Ruud i Rune na osmom, odnosno, 40. mjestu. Otprije već na tron pucaju Tsitsipas, Rubljov, Auger-Aliassime...

Nadal bi se nakon ovog Roland Garrosa mogao zauvijek oprostiti od turnira na kojem je ušao u legendu. Federerov povratak gotovo je nemoguć, dok Đoković ima još koju sezonu u nogama

Skandinavci dolaze! Dugo je trajala „suša” nakon legendarnog Šveđanina Björna Borga. Čekao se novi „ledeni” tenisač, novi produkt skandinavske škole. I evo smo ih dočekali.

Na velika vrata ušao je Norvežanin Casper Ruud. Tek su mu 23 godine, osmi je reket svijeta, i dalje „živ” u aktualnom izdanju Roland Garrosa. Tko zna, možda se u polufinalu namjeri baš na našeg Marina Čilića.

Za sada najveća priča jedinog zemljanog Grand slama je 19-godišnji Danac Holger Rune. Maestralno igra u Roland Garrosu, s turnira je već ispratio lanjskog finalista Grka Stefanosa Tsitsipasa i za polufinale sukobit će se baš s Ruudom u skandinavskom derbiju. Do meča s četvrtim igračem svijeta nije ispustio ni set. Tsitsipas mu je uzeo tek jedan.

I Finska ima svoju uzdanicu, premda manje poznatu od navedene dvojice. To je Emil Ruusuvuori, 61. igrač svijeta, 23-godišnjak kojemu predviđaju svijetlu tenisku budućnost.

Vrijeme velike trojke (povremeno i četvorke kada bi Andy Murray bio zdrav) neminovno se bliži kraju. Bilo je i vrijeme... Novak Đoković, Rafael Nadal i Roger Federer traju već toliko dugo da se gotovo i ne sjećamo tko je „vodio kolo” prije njih. Iako, ne zaboravimo, i ove godine će se za najveće titule većinom pitati njih. Federera, doduše, već odavno nema u akciji i pitanje je hoće li ga biti.

Ali zato su tu mladi lavovi. Predvodi ih Španjolac Carlos Alcaraz koji je usprkos tek 19 godina života svojim rezultatima prestao biti senzacija. Polako hvata kontinuitet vrhunskih ostvarenja, daleko je dogurao i na Roland Garrosu. Već sada je šesti reket svijeta.

 Nešto niže su i spomenuti Skandinavci Ruud i Rune na osmom, odnosno, 40. mjestu. Otprije već na tron pucaju Tsitsipas, Rubljov, Auger-Aliassime...

Nadal bi se nakon ovog Roland Garrosa mogao zauvijek oprostiti od turnira na kojem je ušao u legendu. Federerov povratak gotovo je nemoguć, dok Đoković ima još koju sezonu u nogama

Skandinavci dolaze! Dugo je trajala „suša” nakon legendarnog Šveđanina Björna Borga. Čekao se novi „ledeni” tenisač, novi produkt skandinavske škole. I evo smo ih dočekali.

Na velika vrata ušao je Norvežanin Casper Ruud. Tek su mu 23 godine, osmi je reket svijeta, i dalje „živ” u aktualnom izdanju Roland Garrosa. Tko zna, možda se u polufinalu namjeri baš na našeg Marina Čilića.

Za sada najveća priča jedinog zemljanog Grand slama je 19-godišnji Danac Holger Rune. Maestralno igra u Roland Garrosu, s turnira je već ispratio lanjskog finalista Grka Stefanosa Tsitsipasa i za polufinale sukobit će se baš s Ruudom u skandinavskom derbiju. Do meča s četvrtim igračem svijeta nije ispustio ni set. Tsitsipas mu je uzeo tek jedan.

I Finska ima svoju uzdanicu, premda manje poznatu od navedene dvojice. To je Emil Ruusuvuori, 61. igrač svijeta, 23-godišnjak kojemu predviđaju svijetlu tenisku budućnost.

Dvije slike ovogodišnjeg Roland Garrosa: stižu ‘mladi lavovi‘, ali i kvalitetni tenisači iz Skandinavije

Vrijeme velike trojke (povremeno i četvorke kada bi Andy Murray bio zdrav) neminovno se bliži kraju. Bilo je i vrijeme... Novak Đoković, Rafael Nadal i Roger Federer traju već toliko dugo da se gotovo i ne sjećamo tko je „vodio kolo” prije njih. Iako, ne zaboravimo, i ove godine će se za najveće titule većinom pitati njih. Federera, doduše, već odavno nema u akciji i pitanje je hoće li ga biti.

Ali zato su tu mladi lavovi. Predvodi ih Španjolac Carlos Alcaraz koji je usprkos tek 19 godina života svojim rezultatima prestao biti senzacija. Polako hvata kontinuitet vrhunskih ostvarenja, daleko je dogurao i na Roland Garrosu. Već sada je šesti reket svijeta.

 Nešto niže su i spomenuti Skandinavci Ruud i Rune na osmom, odnosno, 40. mjestu. Otprije već na tron pucaju...
