Španjolac Carlos Alcaraz ponovno je najbolji tenisač svijeta, nakon što je u finalu ATP Masters 1000 turnira u Indian Wellsu svladao Rusa Danjila Medvjedeva sa 6-3, 6-2 i tako zaustavio njegov niz od 19 pobjeda.

"Ovo mi mnogo znači. To što sam opet "broj 1" za mene je ludo", izjavio je Alcaraz poslije uvjerljive pobjede do koje je stigao za samo 70 minuta, a koja mu je donijela prvi pobjednički trofej u Indian Wellsu i treći u karijeri na turnirima Masters 1000 serije.

Alcaraz je do svog osmog naslova u karijeri stigao bez izgubljenog seta, što je posljednji put u Indian Wellsu uspjelo Rogeru Federeru 2017.

Danjil Medvjedev je igrao u svom 31. finalu, a ostao je na 13 naslova. Alcaraz ga je ostavio bez ikakvih izgleda.

"Ne sumnjam u svoje udarce. Doista se osjećam ugodno na terenu. Vjerujem u svaki svoj udarac. Naravno, zbog toga i igram na takvoj razini, jer ne marim, ako ponekad i promašim", otkrio je Španjolac recept za ovakvu uvjerljivu finalnu izvedbu kojom je uzvratio Medvjedevu za poraz u 2. kolu Wimbledona 2021., njihovom jedinom prijašnjem međusobnom dvoboju.

Alcaraz će na "broju 1", koji je izgubio u siječnju ove godine, nakon što je Novak Đoković došao do 10. naslova na Australian Openu i 22. na Grand Slam turnirima, ostati najmanje sljedeća dva tjedna. Da bi ostao i duže, morat će obraniti naslov osvojen prošle godine na turniru Masters 1000 serije u Miamiju i tako prvi put u karijeri osvojiti tzv. "Sunshine double".

Španjolac Carlos Alcaraz ponovno je najbolji tenisač svijeta, nakon što je u finalu ATP Masters 1000 turnira u Indian Wellsu svladao Rusa Danjila Medvjedeva sa 6-3, 6-2 i tako zaustavio njegov niz od 19 pobjeda.

"Ovo mi mnogo znači. To što sam opet "broj 1" za mene je ludo", izjavio je Alcaraz poslije uvjerljive pobjede do koje je stigao za samo 70 minuta, a koja mu je donijela prvi pobjednički trofej u Indian Wellsu i treći u karijeri na turnirima Masters 1000 serije.

Alcaraz je do svog osmog naslova u karijeri stigao bez izgubljenog seta, što je posljednji put u Indian Wellsu uspjelo Rogeru Federeru 2017.

Danjil Medvjedev je igrao u svom 31. finalu, a ostao je na 13 naslova. Alcaraz ga je ostavio bez ikakvih izgleda.

"Ne sumnjam u svoje udarce. Doista se osjećam ugodno na terenu. Vjerujem u svaki svoj udarac. Naravno, zbog toga i igram na takvoj razini, jer ne marim, ako ponekad i promašim", otkrio je Španjolac recept za ovakvu uvjerljivu finalnu izvedbu kojom je uzvratio Medvjedevu za poraz u 2. kolu Wimbledona 2021., njihovom jedinom prijašnjem međusobnom dvoboju.

Alcaraz će na "broju 1", koji je izgubio u siječnju ove godine, nakon što je Novak Đoković došao do 10. naslova na Australian Openu i 22. na Grand Slam turnirima, ostati najmanje sljedeća dva tjedna. Da bi ostao i duže, morat će obraniti naslov osvojen prošle godine na turniru Masters 1000 serije u Miamiju i tako prvi put u karijeri osvojiti tzv. "Sunshine double".

Carlos Alcaraz osvojio Indian Wells i Đokoviću uzeo poziciju najboljeg tenisača svijeta

Španjolac Carlos Alcaraz ponovno je najbolji tenisač svijeta, nakon što je u finalu ATP Masters 1000 turnira u Indian Wellsu svladao Rusa Danjila Medvjedeva sa 6-3, 6-2 i tako zaustavio njegov niz od 19 pobjeda.

"Ovo mi mnogo znači. To što sam opet "broj 1" za mene je ludo", izjavio je Alcaraz poslije uvjerljive pobjede do koje je stigao za samo 70 minuta, a koja mu je donijela prvi pobjednički trofej u Indian Wellsu i treći u karijeri na turnirima Masters 1000 serije.

Alcaraz je do svog osmog naslova u karijeri stigao bez izgubljenog seta, što je posljednji put u Indian Wellsu uspjelo Rogeru Federeru 2017.

Danjil Medvjedev je igrao u svom 31. finalu, a ostao je na 13 naslova. Alcaraz ga je ostavio bez ikakvih izgleda.
