U 86. godini života preminuo je Cesar Luis Menotti, nekadašnji argentinski nogometaš, a potom još poznatiji kao vrhunski stručnjak brojnih klubova i reprezentacija.

Veliki dio igračke karijere proveo je u rodnoj Argentini te je nosio dresove Rosario Centrala, Racinga i Boca Juniorsa. Tijekom 1968. godine igrao je i za brazilski Santos te je bio suigrač legendarnog Pelea.

Dvije godine kasnije je završio igračku karijeru te je odmah započeo trenersku gdje je ostavio mnogo dublji trag. Najviše će ostati upamćen kao izbornik Argentine koju je 1978. godine vodio do premijernog naslova svjetskih prvaka. Tada je Argentina bila i domaćin Svjetskog prvenstva, a u finalu je pobijedila Nizozemsku 3-1 nakon produžetaka.

Menotti je bio izbornik Argentine od 1974. do 1983. godine, a i posljednji posao koji je obavljao bio je vezan za argentinsku reprezentaciju gdje je bio na dužnosti direktora. Osim Argentine vodio je još Meksiko, a uspješno je radio i kao klupski trener vodeći Barcelonu, madridski Atletico, Sampdoriju, Boca Juniors i brojne druge klubove.

U 86. godini života preminuo je Cesar Luis Menotti, nekadašnji argentinski nogometaš, a potom još poznatiji kao vrhunski stručnjak brojnih klubova i reprezentacija.

Veliki dio igračke karijere proveo je u rodnoj Argentini te je nosio dresove Rosario Centrala, Racinga i Boca Juniorsa. Tijekom 1968. godine igrao je i za brazilski Santos te je bio suigrač legendarnog Pelea.

Dvije godine kasnije je završio igračku karijeru te je odmah započeo trenersku gdje je ostavio mnogo dublji trag. Najviše će ostati upamćen kao izbornik Argentine koju je 1978. godine vodio do premijernog naslova svjetskih prvaka. Tada je Argentina bila i domaćin Svjetskog prvenstva, a u finalu je pobijedila Nizozemsku 3-1 nakon produžetaka.

Menotti je bio izbornik Argentine od 1974. do 1983. godine, a i posljednji posao koji je obavljao bio je vezan za argentinsku reprezentaciju gdje je bio na dužnosti direktora. Osim Argentine vodio je još Meksiko, a uspješno je radio i kao klupski trener vodeći Barcelonu, madridski Atletico, Sampdoriju, Boca Juniors i brojne druge klubove.

Velika tuga u Argentini: preminuo legendarni izbornik koji je ‘gaučose‘ vodio do premijernog naslova svjetskih prvaka

U 86. godini života preminuo je Cesar Luis Menotti, nekadašnji argentinski nogometaš, a potom još poznatiji kao vrhunski stručnjak brojnih klubova i reprezentacija.

Veliki dio igračke karijere proveo je u rodnoj Argentini te je nosio dresove Rosario Centrala, Racinga i Boca Juniorsa. Tijekom 1968. godine igrao je i za brazilski Santos te je bio suigrač legendarnog Pelea.

Dvije godine kasnije je završio igračku karijeru te je odmah započeo trenersku gdje je ostavio mnogo dublji trag. Najviše će ostati upamćen kao izbornik Argentine koju je 1978. godine vodio do premijernog naslova svjetskih prvaka. Tada je Argentina bila i domaćin Svjetskog prvenstva, a u finalu je pobijedila Nizozemsku 3-1 nakon produžetaka.

Menotti je bio izbornik Argentine od 1974. do 1983. godine, a i posljednji posao koji je obavljao bio je vezan za argentinsku reprezentaciju gdje je bio na dužnosti direktora. Osim Argentine vodio je još Meksiko, a uspješno je radio i kao klupski trener vodeći Barcelonu, madridski Atletico, Sampdoriju, Boca Juniors i brojne druge klubove.
