Stadion Unico argentinskog prvoligaša Gimnasie de La Plata, na kojem je Diego Armando Maradona obnašao posljednji trenerski posao prije negoli je preminuo 25. studenog, preuzet će ime argentinske nogometne legende, najavio je u subotu guverner provincije Buenos Aires.

"Odlučili smo preimenovati ovaj stadion u Unico de la Plata Diego Armando Maradona. Diego je bio jedinstven i zaslužuje da ovaj jedinstveni stadion nosi njegovo ime", rekao je guverner Axel Kicillof. 

Jedna od tribina stadiona će se također preimenovati u čast nedavno preminulog bivšeg izbornika Argentine Alejandra Sabelle, bivšeg igrača i izbornika Estudiantesa koji je Argentinu odveo do finala Svjetskog prvenstva 2014. godine.

Stadion Unico de La Plata izgrađen je 90-ih godina prošloga stoljeća, a dijele ga momčadi Estudiantes i Gimnasia y Esgrima. Ova će arena, jedna od najmodernijih u Argentini, biti domaćin četiri utakmice Copa Américe sljedećeg srpnja.

Inače, jedan stadion u Buenos Airesu već nosi ime slavnog broja 10 argentinske reprezentacije, onaj Maradonina prvoga kluba Argentinos Juniorsa i to od 2004. godine.

Stadion Unico argentinskog prvoligaša Gimnasie de La Plata, na kojem je Diego Armando Maradona obnašao posljednji trenerski posao prije negoli je preminuo 25. studenog, preuzet će ime argentinske nogometne legende, najavio je u subotu guverner provincije Buenos Aires.

"Odlučili smo preimenovati ovaj stadion u Unico de la Plata Diego Armando Maradona. Diego je bio jedinstven i zaslužuje da ovaj jedinstveni stadion nosi njegovo ime", rekao je guverner Axel Kicillof. 

Jedna od tribina stadiona će se također preimenovati u čast nedavno preminulog bivšeg izbornika Argentine Alejandra Sabelle, bivšeg igrača i izbornika Estudiantesa koji je Argentinu odveo do finala Svjetskog prvenstva 2014. godine.

Stadion Unico de La Plata izgrađen je 90-ih godina prošloga stoljeća, a dijele ga momčadi Estudiantes i Gimnasia y Esgrima. Ova će arena, jedna od najmodernijih u Argentini, biti domaćin četiri utakmice Copa Américe sljedećeg srpnja.

Inače, jedan stadion u Buenos Airesu već nosi ime slavnog broja 10 argentinske reprezentacije, onaj Maradonina prvoga kluba Argentinos Juniorsa i to od 2004. godine.

Stadion Unico argentinskog prvoligaša Gimnasie de La Plata, na kojem je Diego Armando Maradona obnašao posljednji trenerski posao prije negoli je preminuo 25. studenog, preuzet će ime argentinske nogometne legende, najavio je u subotu guverner provincije Buenos Aires.

"Odlučili smo preimenovati ovaj stadion u Unico de la Plata Diego Armando Maradona. Diego je bio jedinstven i zaslužuje da ovaj jedinstveni stadion nosi njegovo ime", rekao je guverner Axel Kicillof. 

Jedna od tribina stadiona će se također preimenovati u čast nedavno preminulog bivšeg izbornika Argentine Alejandra Sabelle, bivšeg igrača i izbornika Estudiantesa koji je Argentinu odveo do finala Svjetskog prvenstva 2014. godine.
