Što nogometaš Athletic Bilbaa i košarkaš Phoenix Sunsa Mikal Bridges imaju zajedno? Radi se o dvojici čeličnih, neuništivih sportaša.
Zašto? Obojica, naime, drže nevjerojatno duge serije nastupa u svojim sportovima, bez ijedne propuštene utakmice. Krenimo s Williamsom koji je došao do 233 nastupa zaredom. Već više od šest godina novopečeni reprezentativac Gane nije propustio nijedan jedini susret. Sve ove godine ozljede su ga zaobilazile, pa je tako i u prošloj sezoni u španjolskoj Primeri upisao maksimalnih 38 utakmica. Čudesan je to u niz, pogotovo jer se radi o svijetu nogometa gdje ozljede usred velikog broja utakmica i natjecanja postaju sve češće. Sve su manje pauze između utakmica, raspored je sve gušći i igrači jedan za drugim „pucaju”.
Ali ne i Williams koji je, očito, vojnički spreman. Fizičku spremu i kondiciju isklesao je do savršenstva jer ovakav niz ne može biti puki slučaj, ne može se dogoditi tek tako. Šest godina već to traje. Zamislite samo koliko je to treninga i priprema, bez samih utakmica...
S Athletic Bilbaom je u toj seriji osvojio španjolski Superkup, dok je dva puta u finalu Kupa kralja ostao kratak, 2020. i 2021. godine. Prije Gane, upisao je i jedan nastupa za seniore „furije”. Bilo je to u prijateljskom ogledu protiv Bosne i Hercegovine. Internacionalnu karijeru odlučio je začiniti nastupom na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Kataru koncem ove godine i tako svoj niz možda produžiti i na svjetsku smotru.
I NBA liga ima svog „konja” za utrku. To je spomenuti Bridges, košarkaš Sunsa. Njegov niz bez propuštene utakmice nije ništa manje impresivan. On je stigao do 344 nastupa zaredom. Dakle, u četiri sezone otkako je u ligi, odnosno u redovima Phoenixa nastupio je u svakoj utakmici. Sekundu – sekundu, ali je zaigrao.
Rekord A.C. Greena nije ugrožen
Bridges, dakako, nema u Sunsima najznačajniju ulogu poput Devina Bookera ili Chrisa Paula, no svejedno, važna je karika u rotaciji. U prošloj sezoni u prosjeku je bilježio 14 poena, četiri skoka i dvije asistencije po utakmici.
Pretprošle sezone ostali su kratki u velikom finalu izgubivši od Milwaukee Bucksa s 2:4, dok su ove godine zapeli već u polufinalu Zapadne konferencije porazom od Dallas Mavericksa u sedmoj utakmici.
Njegov niz je, međutim, još impresivniji i seže dublje u prošlost. Naime, Bridges u tri provedene godine na sveučilištu Villanova također nije propustio nijedan susret. Od mogućih 116 nastupa, on je zabilježio upravo toliko, a 2018. godine s njima je i osvojio naslov NCAA prvaka.
Zbrojimo li, dakle, seniorsku i sveučilišnu karijeru dolazimo do broja 460! Čovjek jednostavno ne staje, ne gasi se. Bit će zanimljivo pratiti do kada će trajati ovaj nevjerojatni niz. Od apsolutnog rekorda je, pak, još uvijek miljama daleko. Neprikosnoven po tom pitanju je A.C. Green koji je od 1986. do 2001. odigrao sve moguće utakmice, ukupno njih 1192 zaredom!Što drugo poželjeti ovom neuništivom dvojcu nego puno zdravlja! Imaju ga, dokazali su, napretek, ali toga je ipak – nikad dosta.

Što nogometaš Athletic Bilbaa i košarkaš Phoenix Sunsa Mikal Bridges imaju zajedno? Radi se o dvojici čeličnih, neuništivih sportaša.
Zašto? Obojica, naime, drže nevjerojatno duge serije nastupa u svojim sportovima, bez ijedne propuštene utakmice. Krenimo s Williamsom koji je došao do 233 nastupa zaredom. Već više od šest godina novopečeni reprezentativac Gane nije propustio nijedan jedini susret. Sve ove godine ozljede su ga zaobilazile, pa je tako i u prošloj sezoni u španjolskoj Primeri upisao maksimalnih 38 utakmica. Čudesan je to u niz, pogotovo jer se radi o svijetu nogometa gdje ozljede usred velikog broja utakmica i natjecanja postaju sve češće. Sve su manje pauze između utakmica, raspored je sve gušći i igrači jedan za drugim „pucaju”.
Ali ne i Williams koji je, očito, vojnički spreman. Fizičku spremu i kondiciju isklesao je do savršenstva jer ovakav niz ne može biti puki slučaj, ne može se dogoditi tek tako. Šest godina već to traje. Zamislite samo koliko je to treninga i priprema, bez samih utakmica...
S Athletic Bilbaom je u toj seriji osvojio španjolski Superkup, dok je dva puta u finalu Kupa kralja ostao kratak, 2020. i 2021. godine. Prije Gane, upisao je i jedan nastupa za seniore „furije”. Bilo je to u prijateljskom ogledu protiv Bosne i Hercegovine. Internacionalnu karijeru odlučio je začiniti nastupom na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Kataru koncem ove godine i tako svoj niz možda produžiti i na svjetsku smotru.
I NBA liga ima svog „konja” za utrku. To je spomenuti Bridges, košarkaš Sunsa. Njegov niz bez propuštene utakmice nije ništa manje impresivan. On je stigao do 344 nastupa zaredom. Dakle, u četiri sezone otkako je u ligi, odnosno u redovima Phoenixa nastupio je u svakoj utakmici. Sekundu – sekundu, ali je zaigrao.
Rekord A.C. Greena nije ugrožen
Bridges, dakako, nema u Sunsima najznačajniju ulogu poput Devina Bookera ili Chrisa Paula, no svejedno, važna je karika u rotaciji. U prošloj sezoni u prosjeku je bilježio 14 poena, četiri skoka i dvije asistencije po utakmici.
Pretprošle sezone ostali su kratki u velikom finalu izgubivši od Milwaukee Bucksa s 2:4, dok su ove godine zapeli već u polufinalu Zapadne konferencije porazom od Dallas Mavericksa u sedmoj utakmici.
Njegov niz je, međutim, još impresivniji i seže dublje u prošlost. Naime, Bridges u tri provedene godine na sveučilištu Villanova također nije propustio nijedan susret. Od mogućih 116 nastupa, on je zabilježio upravo toliko, a 2018. godine s njima je i osvojio naslov NCAA prvaka.
Zbrojimo li, dakle, seniorsku i sveučilišnu karijeru dolazimo do broja 460! Čovjek jednostavno ne staje, ne gasi se. Bit će zanimljivo pratiti do kada će trajati ovaj nevjerojatni niz. Od apsolutnog rekorda je, pak, još uvijek miljama daleko. Neprikosnoven po tom pitanju je A.C. Green koji je od 1986. do 2001. odigrao sve moguće utakmice, ukupno njih 1192 zaredom!Što drugo poželjeti ovom neuništivom dvojcu nego puno zdravlja! Imaju ga, dokazali su, napretek, ali toga je ipak – nikad dosta.
