Mark Groeneveld, nizozemski biciklist koji je bio član kanadske momčadi XSpeed United Continental, preminuo je u dobi od 20 godina dok je bio u Hong Kongu u ranim jutarnjim satima ponedjeljka, objavio je tim.

Groeneveld je sudjelovao u jednom natjecanju u Hong Kongu, ali je u nedjelju odustao zbog mehaničkog problema. Njegova smrt uslijedila je nakon utrke. Srušio se dok je bio u javnosti i nije ga se moglo oživjeti.

Njegov tim je rekao da je uzrok smrti pod istragom, ali da je moguće da je uzrok zastoj srca.

"Teška srca obavještavamo da je Mark Groeneveld preminuo, dok je bio na utrci u Hong Kongu", napisao je tim na svojoj Facebook stranici.

"U ponedjeljak, 23. listopada, XSU i svijet izgubili su još jednu veliku dušu. Najdublju sućut upućujemo njegovoj obitelji, članovima tima i prijateljima."

Mark Groeneveld, nizozemski biciklist koji je bio član kanadske momčadi XSpeed United Continental, preminuo je u dobi od 20 godina dok je bio u Hong Kongu u ranim jutarnjim satima ponedjeljka, objavio je tim.

Groeneveld je sudjelovao u jednom natjecanju u Hong Kongu, ali je u nedjelju odustao zbog mehaničkog problema. Njegova smrt uslijedila je nakon utrke. Srušio se dok je bio u javnosti i nije ga se moglo oživjeti.

Njegov tim je rekao da je uzrok smrti pod istragom, ali da je moguće da je uzrok zastoj srca.

"Teška srca obavještavamo da je Mark Groeneveld preminuo, dok je bio na utrci u Hong Kongu", napisao je tim na svojoj Facebook stranici.

"U ponedjeljak, 23. listopada, XSU i svijet izgubili su još jednu veliku dušu. Najdublju sućut upućujemo njegovoj obitelji, članovima tima i prijateljima."

Tragedija potresla Nizozemsku: u Hong Kongu preminuo Mark Groeneveld

Mark Groeneveld, nizozemski biciklist koji je bio član kanadske momčadi XSpeed United Continental, preminuo je u dobi od 20 godina dok je bio u Hong Kongu u ranim jutarnjim satima ponedjeljka, objavio je tim.

Groeneveld je sudjelovao u jednom natjecanju u Hong Kongu, ali je u nedjelju odustao zbog mehaničkog problema. Njegova smrt uslijedila je nakon utrke. Srušio se dok je bio u javnosti i nije ga se moglo oživjeti.

Njegov tim je rekao da je uzrok smrti pod istragom, ali da je moguće da je uzrok zastoj srca.

"Teška srca obavještavamo da je Mark Groeneveld preminuo, dok je bio na utrci u Hong Kongu", napisao je tim na svojoj Facebook stranici.

"U ponedjeljak, 23. listopada, XSU i svijet izgubili su još jednu veliku dušu. Najdublju sućut upućujemo njegovoj obitelji, članovima tima i prijateljima."
