U Zagrebu je uz nazočnost brojnih osoba iz sportskog i društvenog života grada i Hrvatske predstavljena monografija 70. Zagreb Meeting – Hanžekovićev memorijal, kronika najstarije sportske priredbe u Hrvatskoj i jednog od najboljih svjetskih atletskih mitinga.

Monografija kronološki, uz izdvojene najveće priče iz povijesti mitinga, prati uspon Memorijala Borisa Hanžekovića od klupskog dvoboja Dinama i Mladosti do današnjih dana kada je mitinga dio zlatne kategorije Continental Toura.

Urednik monografije je Mario Zorko, a izvršni urednik Marin Šarec koji je uz Milana Oreškovića, te novinare Sportskih novosti Dražena Pinevića i Vedrana Božičevića i autor tekstova. Urednik fotografije je Robert Valai, a grafički urednik Petar Raguž.

- Ovo izdanje na koje sam iznimno ponosna je pregled svih 70 godina mitinga. Njime smo htjeli odati priznanje svima koji su s nama, kao i onima koji više nisu. Njihov doprinos je posebno istaknut u knjizi. Drago mi je da mogu najaviti i sljedeći Memorijal Borisa Hanžekovića, 14. rujna, i sigurna sam da će on opet biti nezaobilazna stanica najboljim svjetskim atletičarima kao i svim ljubiteljima sporta - rekla je Ana Hanžeković Krznarić, predsjednica AK Dinamo-Zrinjevac koji je nakladnik knjige kao i organizatora Memorijala.

Ivana Brkljačić je na čelu mitinga bila od 2009. do 2020. godine.

- Naš miting je poseban u odnosu na sve druge u svijetu upravo zbog ljudskog faktora i dobre organizacije koju su prepoznali i sportaši. Bila mi je čast biti dio ove veličanstvene sportske priredbe 20 godina, kao sportašica i direktorica. U ovoj monografiji zahvalili smo svima koji su stvarali Memorijal i učinili ga ovim što je danas - rekla je Brkljačić, koju je na mjestu direktora Memorijala Borisa Hanžekovića zamijenio Robert Šola.

- Prije mjesec dana sam razgovarao s legendarnim trkačem Draganom Zdravkovićem koji mi je rekao da nigdje u bivšoj Jugoslaviji atletičari nisu bili toliko dobrodošli, voljeni i cijenjeni kao u Zagrebu. Upravo je to najveća tajna uspjeha ovog mitinga i jamstvo da će i sljedećih godina biti vrhunski - naglasio je Šola, dok je predsjednik Hrvatskog atletskog saveza Ivan Veštić dodao:

- Mogu slobodno reći da bi bez Hanžekovićevog memorijala hrvatska atletika bila puno siromašnija.

Izvršni urednik monografije Marin Šarec istaknuo je zbog čega je ova knjiga drukčija od nekih ranijih nakladničkih projekata vezanih uz miting:

- Dosad smo se uglavnom oslanjali na memoriju sudionika, ali memorija često blijedi i nije baš pouzdana. Tako smo se sada zabili u arhivu, uzeli sve brojeve Narodnog sporta i Sportskih novosti, proučili sve tekstove napisane o Memorijalu od 1951. do danas i izvukli iz njih ono najvažnije. Želio bih da kad budete listali ovu knjigu, uživate u njoj kao što smo uživali mi koji smo je pisali. Ova knjiga je nakladnički proizvod nakon kojeg vam više neće trebati Google jer su svi povijesni podaci o Memorijalu Borisa Hanžekovića u njoj.

Promociji je nazočio i zagrebački gradonačelnik Tomislav Tomašević, kojem je to bilo prvo pojavljivanje na nekom javnom događaju otkako je preuzeo funkciju čelnog čovjeka grada.

- Iznimno mi je drago što je moje prvo protokolarno obraćanje kao novog gradonačelnika posvećeno sportu i to ne bilo kojem sportu, nego kraljici sportova, i ne bilo kojem natjecanju, nego najstarijem u Hrvatskoj. Ponosni smo što smo domaćini ovakvog događaja koji privlači sve veći broj svjetskih imena i sve veći broj gledatelja. S veseljem ću prolistati ovu monografiju i čekati novi Hanžekovićev memorijal. Grad Zagreb će i dalje biti partner ovakvim natjecanjima i podupirati razvoj sporta - istaknuo je gradonačelnik Tomašević.

U Zagrebu je uz nazočnost brojnih osoba iz sportskog i društvenog života grada i Hrvatske predstavljena monografija 70. Zagreb Meeting – Hanžekovićev memorijal, kronika najstarije sportske priredbe u Hrvatskoj i jednog od najboljih svjetskih atletskih mitinga.

Monografija kronološki, uz izdvojene najveće priče iz povijesti mitinga, prati uspon Memorijala Borisa Hanžekovića od klupskog dvoboja Dinama i Mladosti do današnjih dana kada je mitinga dio zlatne kategorije Continental Toura.

Urednik monografije je Mario Zorko, a izvršni urednik Marin Šarec koji je uz Milana Oreškovića, te novinare Sportskih novosti Dražena Pinevića i Vedrana Božičevića i autor tekstova. Urednik fotografije je Robert Valai, a grafički urednik Petar Raguž.

- Ovo izdanje na koje sam iznimno ponosna je pregled svih 70 godina mitinga. Njime smo htjeli odati priznanje svima koji su s nama, kao i onima koji više nisu. Njihov doprinos je posebno istaknut u knjizi. Drago mi je da mogu najaviti i sljedeći Memorijal Borisa Hanžekovića, 14. rujna, i sigurna sam da će on opet biti nezaobilazna stanica najboljim svjetskim atletičarima kao i svim ljubiteljima sporta - rekla je Ana Hanžeković Krznarić, predsjednica AK Dinamo-Zrinjevac koji je nakladnik knjige kao i organizatora Memorijala.

Ivana Brkljačić je na čelu mitinga bila od 2009. do 2020. godine.

- Naš miting je poseban u odnosu na sve druge u svijetu upravo zbog ljudskog faktora i dobre organizacije koju su prepoznali i sportaši. Bila mi je čast biti dio ove veličanstvene sportske priredbe 20 godina, kao sportašica i direktorica. U ovoj monografiji zahvalili smo svima koji su stvarali Memorijal i učinili ga ovim što je danas - rekla je Brkljačić, koju je na mjestu direktora Memorijala Borisa Hanžekovića zamijenio Robert Šola.

- Prije mjesec dana sam razgovarao s legendarnim trkačem Draganom Zdravkovićem koji mi je rekao da nigdje u bivšoj Jugoslaviji atletičari nisu bili toliko dobrodošli, voljeni i cijenjeni kao u Zagrebu. Upravo je to najveća tajna uspjeha ovog mitinga i jamstvo da će i sljedećih godina biti vrhunski - naglasio je Šola, dok je predsjednik Hrvatskog atletskog saveza Ivan Veštić dodao:

- Mogu slobodno reći da bi bez Hanžekovićevog memorijala hrvatska atletika bila puno siromašnija.

Izvršni urednik monografije Marin Šarec istaknuo je zbog čega je ova knjiga drukčija od nekih ranijih nakladničkih projekata vezanih uz miting:

- Dosad smo se uglavnom oslanjali na memoriju sudionika, ali memorija često blijedi i nije baš pouzdana. Tako smo se sada zabili u arhivu, uzeli sve brojeve Narodnog sporta i Sportskih novosti, proučili sve tekstove napisane o Memorijalu od 1951. do danas i izvukli iz njih ono najvažnije. Želio bih da kad budete listali ovu knjigu, uživate u njoj kao što smo uživali mi koji smo je pisali. Ova knjiga je nakladnički proizvod nakon kojeg vam više neće trebati Google jer su svi povijesni podaci o Memorijalu Borisa Hanžekovića u njoj.

Promociji je nazočio i zagrebački gradonačelnik Tomislav Tomašević, kojem je to bilo prvo pojavljivanje na nekom javnom događaju otkako je preuzeo funkciju čelnog čovjeka grada.

- Iznimno mi je drago što je moje prvo protokolarno obraćanje kao novog gradonačelnika posvećeno sportu i to ne bilo kojem sportu, nego kraljici sportova, i ne bilo kojem natjecanju, nego najstarijem u Hrvatskoj. Ponosni smo što smo domaćini ovakvog događaja koji privlači sve veći broj svjetskih imena i sve veći broj gledatelja. S veseljem ću prolistati ovu monografiju i čekati novi Hanžekovićev memorijal. Grad Zagreb će i dalje biti partner ovakvim natjecanjima i podupirati razvoj sporta - istaknuo je gradonačelnik Tomašević.
