Ragbijaši Irske osvojili su zagrebački turnir Europskog prvenstva ragbija 7, koji je preko vikenda na stadion Hrvatskog dragovoljca privukao 2000 ljubitelja ragbija iz cijele Europe.

Irska je u finalu pobijedila Englesku 27-0, a treći je bio Wales. Irci su na putu do zlata nanizali Dansku (53-0), Latviju (48-0), Rumunjsku (43-7), u četvrtfinalu Izrael (36-7), u polufinalu Mađarsku (52-0) i u finalu Engleze s 27-0.

Hrvatska je završila deseta nakon što je drugog dana, u razigravanju za poredak od devetog do 12. mjesta, pobijedila Bugarsku 26-21 pa izgubila od Danske 29-12.

Protiv Bugara je Vranešević zabio dva polaganja, a Buljanović i Perica po jedno, a Vranešević je pogodio tri pretvaranja, čime je skupio ukupno 16 poena.

Niko Vranešević jedan je od najmlađih igrača u našoj reprezentaciji, a dolazi iz ragbijaške obitelji jer otac Tihomir 80-ih i 90-ih igrao je za Zagreb.

- Trenirao sam košarku paralelno uz ragbi, koji mi je prva ljubav, oduvijek sam znao da želim igrati ragbi, samo sam do osme godine morao čekati da me primez. Sad upisujem fakultet i uz školske obveze trudim se trenirati svaki dan. Tata? Prati me, naravno, i savjetuje i motivira, govori mi da samo uživam jer zato i igram ragbi, jer to volim. A svakako mi i ukazuje na detalje u igri, prošao je to, bio je dobar igrač. Da, igramo na istoj poziciji, spojke, iako ja nekad uskočim i na krilo ili fullbacka - rekao je Vranešević i dodao:

- Ovaj je turnir bio jako zanimljiv, da vidimo gdje smo u odnosu na najbolje jer ovo je najviša razina. Motivirajuće je da smo uspjeli nekako odigrati s Walesom. Kakav god bio rezultat, suprotstavili smo se i to je veliko iskustvo.

U posljednjem susretu naši su poveli protiv Danske 12-0 polaganjima Grčića i Perića i pretvaranjem Vraneševića, ali Danci su preokrenuli na 29-12 i osvojili deveto mjesto.

- Glave gore, da smo ovako igrali u subotu, bili bismo u polufinalu, gdje su završili Mađari. Možete puno naučiti iz ovoga. Sad ćemo vidjeti stanje s ozljedama pa prionuti poslu za Budimpeštu idući vikend - ohrabrivao je izbornik Anthony Poša igrače nakon susreta pa naglasio:

Na utakmici protiv Bugarske Jan Vlašić slomio je šaku tako da smo zadnju utakmicu odigrali samo s devet igrača. I Vlašić je otpao za turnir u Budimpešti idući vikend, kao i Glassie, a nadamo se da će se Jurišić i Pavlović oporaviti. Istina, dobili smo puno žutih kartona, naprosto je tempo u ovakvim utakmicama puno jači nego na što su dečki navikli pa dođu i takve pogreške. Zato moraju učiti i zato sam ih ohrabrio nakon turnira.

Konačni poredak: 1. Irska, 2. Engleska, 3. Wales, 4. Mađarska, 5. Rumunjska, 6. Švedska, 7. Izrael, 8. Luksemburg, 9. Danska, 10. Hrvatska, 11. Latvija, 12. Bugarska

Ženski je turnir osvojila Engleska, koja jedina na svijetu ima profesionalnu žensku ragbijašku ligu. Engleskinje su na teren izlazile uz stihove Eminema sa zvučnika te su redom pobijedile Moldaviju 51-0, Gruziju 52-0, Mađarsku 70-0, u četvrtfinalu Norvešku 49-0, u polufinalu Švedsku 61-0 i u finalu Italiju 56-0. U šest utakmica bez ijednog primljenog poena!

Konačni poredak žena: 1. Engleska, 2. Italija, 3. Portugal, 4. Švedska, 5. Turska, 6. Finska, 7. Gruzija, 8. Norveška, 9. Mađarska, 10. Moldavija, 11. Danska, 12. Izrael.

Ragbijaši Irske osvojili su zagrebački turnir Europskog prvenstva ragbija 7, koji je preko vikenda na stadion Hrvatskog dragovoljca privukao 2000 ljubitelja ragbija iz cijele Europe.

Irska je u finalu pobijedila Englesku 27-0, a treći je bio Wales. Irci su na putu do zlata nanizali Dansku (53-0), Latviju (48-0), Rumunjsku (43-7), u četvrtfinalu Izrael (36-7), u polufinalu Mađarsku (52-0) i u finalu Engleze s 27-0.

Hrvatska je završila deseta nakon što je drugog dana, u razigravanju za poredak od devetog do 12. mjesta, pobijedila Bugarsku 26-21 pa izgubila od Danske 29-12.

Protiv Bugara je Vranešević zabio dva polaganja, a Buljanović i Perica po jedno, a Vranešević je pogodio tri pretvaranja, čime je skupio ukupno 16 poena.

Niko Vranešević jedan je od najmlađih igrača u našoj reprezentaciji, a dolazi iz ragbijaške obitelji jer otac Tihomir 80-ih i 90-ih igrao je za Zagreb.

- Trenirao sam košarku paralelno uz ragbi, koji mi je prva ljubav, oduvijek sam znao da želim igrati ragbi, samo sam do osme godine morao čekati da me primez. Sad upisujem fakultet i uz školske obveze trudim se trenirati svaki dan. Tata? Prati me, naravno, i savjetuje i motivira, govori mi da samo uživam jer zato i igram ragbi, jer to volim. A svakako mi i ukazuje na detalje u igri, prošao je to, bio je dobar igrač. Da, igramo na istoj poziciji, spojke, iako ja nekad uskočim i na krilo ili fullbacka - rekao je Vranešević i dodao:

- Ovaj je turnir bio jako zanimljiv, da vidimo gdje smo u odnosu na najbolje jer ovo je najviša razina. Motivirajuće je da smo uspjeli nekako odigrati s Walesom. Kakav god bio rezultat, suprotstavili smo se i to je veliko iskustvo.

U posljednjem susretu naši su poveli protiv Danske 12-0 polaganjima Grčića i Perića i pretvaranjem Vraneševića, ali Danci su preokrenuli na 29-12 i osvojili deveto mjesto.

Na utakmici protiv Bugarske Jan Vlašić slomio je šaku tako da smo zadnju utakmicu odigrali samo s devet igrača. I Vlašić je otpao za turnir u Budimpešti idući vikend, kao i Glassie, a nadamo se da će se Jurišić i Pavlović oporaviti. Istina, dobili smo puno žutih kartona, naprosto je tempo u ovakvim utakmicama puno jači nego na što su dečki navikli pa dođu i takve pogreške. Zato moraju učiti i zato sam ih ohrabrio nakon turnira.

Ženski je turnir osvojila Engleska, koja jedina na svijetu ima profesionalnu žensku ragbijašku ligu. Engleskinje su na teren izlazile uz stihove Eminema sa zvučnika te su redom pobijedile Moldaviju 51-0, Gruziju 52-0, Mađarsku 70-0, u četvrtfinalu Norvešku 49-0, u polufinalu Švedsku 61-0 i u finalu Italiju 56-0. U šest utakmica bez ijednog primljenog poena!

Konačni poredak žena: 1. Engleska, 2. Italija, 3. Portugal, 4. Švedska, 5. Turska, 6. Finska, 7. Gruzija, 8. Norveška, 9. Mađarska, 10. Moldavija, 11. Danska, 12. Izrael.

Irci i Engleskinje osvojili Zagreb, hrvatski ragbijaši deseti

Ragbijaši Irske osvojili su zagrebački turnir Europskog prvenstva ragbija 7, koji je preko vikenda na stadion Hrvatskog dragovoljca privukao 2000 ljubitelja ragbija iz cijele Europe.

Irska je u finalu pobijedila Englesku 27-0, a treći je bio Wales. Irci su na putu do zlata nanizali Dansku (53-0), Latviju (48-0), Rumunjsku (43-7), u četvrtfinalu Izrael (36-7), u polufinalu Mađarsku (52-0) i u finalu Engleze s 27-0.

Hrvatska je završila deseta nakon što je drugog dana, u razigravanju za poredak od devetog do 12. mjesta, pobijedila Bugarsku 26-21 pa izgubila od Danske 29-12.

Protiv Bugara je Vranešević zabio dva polaganja, a Buljanović i Perica po jedno, a Vranešević je pogodio tri pretvaranja, čime je skupio ukupno 16 poena.
