Njemački atletičar Johannes Vetter (24) pobijedio je na mitingu u Luzernu bacivši koplje 94,44 metara što je drugi rezultat svih vremena.

Vetter je sjajnim hicem postavio novi njemački rekord nakon što je Thomas Rohler na prvom ovogodišnjem mitingu Dijamantne lige u Dohi bacio koplje 93,90 metara. Rohler se u Luzernu morao zadovoljiti drugim mjestom s rezultatom 85,60 metara, dok je treće mjesto osvojio Estonac Tanel Laanmae s rezultatom 82,58.

Dalje od Vettera bacio je tek legendarni Čeh Jan Železny čiji svjetski rekord od 98,48 metara stoji još od 1996. godine.

"Zaista sam bez riječi. Nisam očekivao tako nešto. Priželjkivao sam hitac preko 90 metara, no ovo je ludo. Trebat će mi nekoliko dana da se smirim," kazao je 24-godišnji mladić iz Dresdena.

Vetter je do natjecanja u Luzernu najdalje bacio koplje 89,69 metara. Svoj osobni rekord je popravio već u prvoj seriji bacivši koplje 90,75. U drugoj seriji je bacio 91,06, u trećoj 93,06, da bi u četvrtom pokušaju otišao do sjajnih 94,44m.

Svjetski rekorder Železni je do sada bio jedini atletičar u povijesti koji je na jednom mitingu najmanje četiri puta prebacio 90 metara. Slavnom Čehu to je uspjelo dva puta. U Stellenboschu 1997. je pet puta prebacio 90 metara, a u Tokiju dvije godine ranije četiri puta.

"Nakon što sam već u prvoj seriji prebacio 90 metara osjetio sam da bi ovaj dan mogao biti poseban. Prvi hitac me napunio adrenalinom i gurnuo naprijed. Moj cilj ove sezone je bio novi njemački rekord i u tome sam uspio," dodao je Vetter.

Zanimljivo, Rohler je otvorio sezonu s pet uzastopnih pobjeda protiv Vettera. Međutim, kako se približava svjetsko prvenstvo u Londonu, tako Vetter podiže formu i pobijedio je Rohlera na tri posljednja natjecanja. Bio je bolji u Parizu na mitingu Dijamantne lige s rezultatom 88,74m, potom na njemačkom prvenstvu u Erfurtu s rezultatom 89,35m i sada u Luzernu.

"Rohler i ja smo veliki prijatelji i naše nadmetanje je sjajno za njemačku atletiku. Natjecanje u bacanju koplja na svjetskom prvenstvu u Londonu bit će jedan od vrhunaca natjecanja. Jedva čekam početak. Međutim, prije Londona je i Dijamantna liga u Monacu," kazao je Vetter.

Njemački atletičar Johannes Vetter (24) pobijedio je na mitingu u Luzernu bacivši koplje 94,44 metara što je drugi rezultat svih vremena.

Vetter je sjajnim hicem postavio novi njemački rekord nakon što je Thomas Rohler na prvom ovogodišnjem mitingu Dijamantne lige u Dohi bacio koplje 93,90 metara. Rohler se u Luzernu morao zadovoljiti drugim mjestom s rezultatom 85,60 metara, dok je treće mjesto osvojio Estonac Tanel Laanmae s rezultatom 82,58.

Dalje od Vettera bacio je tek legendarni Čeh Jan Železny čiji svjetski rekord od 98,48 metara stoji još od 1996. godine.

"Zaista sam bez riječi. Nisam očekivao tako nešto. Priželjkivao sam hitac preko 90 metara, no ovo je ludo. Trebat će mi nekoliko dana da se smirim," kazao je 24-godišnji mladić iz Dresdena.

Vetter je do natjecanja u Luzernu najdalje bacio koplje 89,69 metara. Svoj osobni rekord je popravio već u prvoj seriji bacivši koplje 90,75. U drugoj seriji je bacio 91,06, u trećoj 93,06, da bi u četvrtom pokušaju otišao do sjajnih 94,44m.

Svjetski rekorder Železni je do sada bio jedini atletičar u povijesti koji je na jednom mitingu najmanje četiri puta prebacio 90 metara. Slavnom Čehu to je uspjelo dva puta. U Stellenboschu 1997. je pet puta prebacio 90 metara, a u Tokiju dvije godine ranije četiri puta.

"Nakon što sam već u prvoj seriji prebacio 90 metara osjetio sam da bi ovaj dan mogao biti poseban. Prvi hitac me napunio adrenalinom i gurnuo naprijed. Moj cilj ove sezone je bio novi njemački rekord i u tome sam uspio," dodao je Vetter.

Zanimljivo, Rohler je otvorio sezonu s pet uzastopnih pobjeda protiv Vettera. Međutim, kako se približava svjetsko prvenstvo u Londonu, tako Vetter podiže formu i pobijedio je Rohlera na tri posljednja natjecanja. Bio je bolji u Parizu na mitingu Dijamantne lige s rezultatom 88,74m, potom na njemačkom prvenstvu u Erfurtu s rezultatom 89,35m i sada u Luzernu.

"Rohler i ja smo veliki prijatelji i naše nadmetanje je sjajno za njemačku atletiku. Natjecanje u bacanju koplja na svjetskom prvenstvu u Londonu bit će jedan od vrhunaca natjecanja. Jedva čekam početak. Međutim, prije Londona je i Dijamantna liga u Monacu," kazao je Vetter.
