Eto, otišao je poslije duge i teške bolesti i Vinko Bajrović (84), poznati i popularni Capo.

Znao je da odlazi, žilavo se održavao, strpljivo je sa svojom suprugom Mirom proživljavao posljednje dane. U to vrijeme ga je posebno pogodila nedavna smrt jednog od njegovih najboljih prijatelja Gorana Sobina, ali je ipak našao snage da svojem kumpanju uputi emotivnu oproštajnu poruku… 

Vinko Bajrović je ostavio za sobom ožalošćene brojne ljubitelje košarke, obzirom na njegov veličanstveni obol u tom sportu. Bio je košarkaš Splita (od 1952. do 1963.), član momčadi koja se plasirala u prvu ligu, onda je dugi niz godina bio tehniko „žutih“, sveprisutan u pobjedonosnim pohodima Jugoplastike od prvog naslova prvaka Jugoslavije 1971. do trostruke krune 1977., pa dalje do osamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća.

Također, bio je tehniko reprezentacije Jugoslavije u vrijeme izbornika Mirka Novosela, Krešimira Ćosića i Dušana Ivkovića s kojima je sudjelovao u velikim trijumfima na svjetskoj i europskoj sceni. Jedno vrijeme je bio i vrijedni dopredsjednik skupštine Hajduka. A 2009. godine kada je klub bio u krizi, bez Uprave i predsjednika, bio je jedan od trojice koje je skupština ovlastila da vode Hajduk, dio trijumvirata Nosić-Klarić-Bajrović koji je između ostalog spriječio da Hajduk krene u stečajni postupak.

Profesor Bajrović je dobitnik niza priznanja među kojima su i ona za životno djelo: nagrada grada Splita, zatim od Ministarstva prosvjete nagrada „Ivan Filipović“, nagrada za sport „Franjo Bučar“ te priznanja Splitskog saveza športova Trofej Fabjan Kaliterna. 

Capo je imao nevjerojatnu energiju, strpljenje, ustrajnost na svim poljima, bio je neumoran, uvijek među prvima u svim aktivnostima društvenog života Splita. Može se kazati da su grad Split i Dalmacija ostali bez jednog od svojih najvrjednijih ljudi. Povodom 60 godina kluba s Gripa zajedno s Miloradom Bibićem Mosorom napisao je knjigu „Od Starog placa do vrha Europe” objavljenu 2005. godine.

Naviru sjećanja s Bajrovićem u glavnoj ulozi, on je uvijek bio spreman za zezanje i što je najvažnije, znao je tjerati šalu i na svoj račun. Kad se radila monografija u povodu 70 godina „žutih“, pod naslovom „Legende o splitskoj košarci“ Capo je od svih događaja iz karijere igrača, tehnika, vođe puta, statističara, kroničara izdvojio jednu utakmicu, onu kada je silom prilika prvi i jedini put sjedio na klupi kao trener, vodio je „žute“ protiv Beka (ex Beograda) 22. siječnja 1977. godine: 

- Prisiljen sam preuzeti ulogu trenera zbog nekih nesuglasica između Pere Skansija i Duje Krstulovića, pobijedili smo Beko s 129:90, dakle s 39 koševa razlike, što je u to vrijeme bio rekord. Razbili smo ih, deklasirali, kako je priznao Blaž Kotarac, udarni igrač Beograda. To je bio prekrasan poklon za moj četrdeseti rođendan, nitko nije bio sretniji od mene… Ta pobjeda je bila mali kamenčić u mozaiku trostruke krune, osvojili smo prvenstvo i kup Jugoslavije, te europski Kup Radivoja Koraća. 

U povijesti kluba s Gripa nije bilo čovjeka s toliko smisla za organizaciju, ali i za humor. Kad smo se vratili iz Tel Aviva kao poraženi s finala Kupa prvaka od Ignisa 1972. (69:70) priređeno je primanje kod predsjednika Skupštine općine Jakše Miličića i tom prilikom mu je Capo poklonio loptu s te utakmice. I kasnije je u seriji prilika također poklanjao „mikasu“ s te ipak neslavne utakmice. U njegovoj režiji priređivani su dočeci novih godina ili veliki plesnjaci Jugoplastike kojom prilikom je Capo oduševljavao svojom svirkom na češalj. 

Dragi Vinko je imao fascinantnu memoriju, valjda kao matematičar, napamet je znao rezultate odlučnih utakmica, datuma rođenja igrača, telefonske brojeve, kućne adrese. Bio je i akter i svjedok slavnih dana košarkaškog kluba s Gripa, ali i uspjeha reprezentacije Jugoslavije.

Eto, otišao je poslije duge i teške bolesti i Vinko Bajrović (84), poznati i popularni Capo.

Znao je da odlazi, žilavo se održavao, strpljivo je sa svojom suprugom Mirom proživljavao posljednje dane. U to vrijeme ga je posebno pogodila nedavna smrt jednog od njegovih najboljih prijatelja Gorana Sobina, ali je ipak našao snage da svojem kumpanju uputi emotivnu oproštajnu poruku… 

Vinko Bajrović je ostavio za sobom ožalošćene brojne ljubitelje košarke, obzirom na njegov veličanstveni obol u tom sportu. Bio je košarkaš Splita (od 1952. do 1963.), član momčadi koja se plasirala u prvu ligu, onda je dugi niz godina bio tehniko „žutih“, sveprisutan u pobjedonosnim pohodima Jugoplastike od prvog naslova prvaka Jugoslavije 1971. do trostruke krune 1977., pa dalje do osamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća.

Također, bio je tehniko reprezentacije Jugoslavije u vrijeme izbornika Mirka Novosela, Krešimira Ćosića i Dušana Ivkovića s kojima je sudjelovao u velikim trijumfima na svjetskoj i europskoj sceni. Jedno vrijeme je bio i vrijedni dopredsjednik skupštine Hajduka. A 2009. godine kada je klub bio u krizi, bez Uprave i predsjednika, bio je jedan od trojice koje je skupština ovlastila da vode Hajduk, dio trijumvirata Nosić-Klarić-Bajrović koji je između ostalog spriječio da Hajduk krene u stečajni postupak.

Profesor Bajrović je dobitnik niza priznanja među kojima su i ona za životno djelo: nagrada grada Splita, zatim od Ministarstva prosvjete nagrada „Ivan Filipović“, nagrada za sport „Franjo Bučar“ te priznanja Splitskog saveza športova Trofej Fabjan Kaliterna. 

Capo je imao nevjerojatnu energiju, strpljenje, ustrajnost na svim poljima, bio je neumoran, uvijek među prvima u svim aktivnostima društvenog života Splita. Može se kazati da su grad Split i Dalmacija ostali bez jednog od svojih najvrjednijih ljudi. Povodom 60 godina kluba s Gripa zajedno s Miloradom Bibićem Mosorom napisao je knjigu „Od Starog placa do vrha Europe” objavljenu 2005. godine.

Naviru sjećanja s Bajrovićem u glavnoj ulozi, on je uvijek bio spreman za zezanje i što je najvažnije, znao je tjerati šalu i na svoj račun. Kad se radila monografija u povodu 70 godina „žutih“, pod naslovom „Legende o splitskoj košarci“ Capo je od svih događaja iz karijere igrača, tehnika, vođe puta, statističara, kroničara izdvojio jednu utakmicu, onu kada je silom prilika prvi i jedini put sjedio na klupi kao trener, vodio je „žute“ protiv Beka (ex Beograda) 22. siječnja 1977. godine: 

- Prisiljen sam preuzeti ulogu trenera zbog nekih nesuglasica između Pere Skansija i Duje Krstulovića, pobijedili smo Beko s 129:90, dakle s 39 koševa razlike, što je u to vrijeme bio rekord. Razbili smo ih, deklasirali, kako je priznao Blaž Kotarac, udarni igrač Beograda. To je bio prekrasan poklon za moj četrdeseti rođendan, nitko nije bio sretniji od mene… Ta pobjeda je bila mali kamenčić u mozaiku trostruke krune, osvojili smo prvenstvo i kup Jugoslavije, te europski Kup Radivoja Koraća. 

U povijesti kluba s Gripa nije bilo čovjeka s toliko smisla za organizaciju, ali i za humor. Kad smo se vratili iz Tel Aviva kao poraženi s finala Kupa prvaka od Ignisa 1972. (69:70) priređeno je primanje kod predsjednika Skupštine općine Jakše Miličića i tom prilikom mu je Capo poklonio loptu s te utakmice. I kasnije je u seriji prilika također poklanjao „mikasu“ s te ipak neslavne utakmice. U njegovoj režiji priređivani su dočeci novih godina ili veliki plesnjaci Jugoplastike kojom prilikom je Capo oduševljavao svojom svirkom na češalj. 

Dragi Vinko je imao fascinantnu memoriju, valjda kao matematičar, napamet je znao rezultate odlučnih utakmica, datuma rođenja igrača, telefonske brojeve, kućne adrese. Bio je i akter i svjedok slavnih dana košarkaškog kluba s Gripa, ali i uspjeha reprezentacije Jugoslavije.

Eto, otišao je poslije duge i teške bolesti i Vinko Bajrović (84), poznati i popularni Capo.

Znao je da odlazi, žilavo se održavao, strpljivo je sa svojom suprugom Mirom proživljavao posljednje dane. U to vrijeme ga je posebno pogodila nedavna smrt jednog od njegovih najboljih prijatelja Gorana Sobina, ali je ipak našao snage da svojem kumpanju uputi emotivnu oproštajnu poruku…
