Hrvatski košarkaši su pobjedom nad Turskom 84-71 u finalu pretkvalifikacijskog turnira igranog u Istanbulu zaključili prvo ljeto pod vodstvom izbornika Josipa Sesara i na taj način si i sljedeće ljeto pretvorili u radno, uz potencijalni nastup na Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu. 

"Imali smo sjajno ljeto, svi smo dobro kliknuli. Drago mi je što smo sami sebi dali priliku da ponovno imamo radno ljeto u kvalifikacijama za Olimpijske igre. Nadam se da će se ova atmosfera preliti i na kvalifikacije za Europsko prvenstvo te da ćemo svi zdravi dočekati ljeto i pokušati napraviti dobar posao", rekao je izbornik koji je u prvih devet službenih utakmica svog mandata ostvario devet pobjeda, od kojih samo jedna nije bila dvoznamenkastom razlikom.

U finalu su protiv domaće reprezentacije imali 19 koševa prednosti na poluvremenu.

"Što se same utakmice tiče, znali smo da će oni u jednom trenutku postati agresivni i na to smo pripremali igrače. Vratili su se na samo sedam razlike, međutim svaki put kad smo produžili napad došli smo do otvorenog šuta i do pogotka. Jako smo se dobro pripremili. Znali smo kako kojeg igrača treba braniti, a napadali smo točno tamo gdje imamo šansu. Sasvim smo zasluženo osvojili ovaj turnir", zaključio je Sesar.

Dario Šarić je cijeli turnir, a posebno finale, odigrao u skladu s novom, kapetanskom ulogom. Završio je dvoboj protiv Turaka s 22 koša i 11 skokova.

"Dobro smo ušli u utakmicu i stvorili prednost od 20 razlike. Nekad je to i teško iskontrolirati, svi bi mi voljeli da s 20 ode na 25, no približili su se na sedam razlike. I tu smo dobro odgovorili, zabili neke teške koševe. Treba imati malo sreće i eto – napokon ljeto za pamćenje. Nadam se da je ovo baza za novi početak, za iduću godinu, da se opet skupimo i pokušamo odigrati ovako dobro", izjavio je Šarić, a potom se odmah okrenuo i prema sljedećem ljetu:

"Što se tiče kvalifikacijskog turnira, ne znam kakva će nama biti situacija u klubovima, kad ćemo završiti. Bilo bi dobro da se okupimo i da imamo dovoljno dana za pripreme, da se prisjetimo što smo ovdje radili, da ponovno pogledamo te utakmice i adekvatno se pripremimo. Dobre su šanse, iako su ekipe koje će biti na tom turniru sada na Svjetskom prvenstvu. No, imamo mi talenta, imamo dobru energije. Samo da ostane ovako u idućoj godini i to je to.“

S takvom se ocjenom slaže i Mario Hezonja, također jedan od ključnih igrača ove reprezentacije.

"Nije toliko bitno kakvi su nam protivnici, bitno je da smo nakon ‘reseta‘ cijele reprezentacije napravili pravi stožer, da smo napravili pravu ekipu i da svi igramo jedan za drugoga i međusobno si pomažemo. To se na terenu vidi i kad igramo kao ekipa, utakmice su lagane. Naravno, Turska je puno bolja od drugih reprezentacija koje su bile ovdje, no ipak je bio isti slučaj, iako je Turska bila stvarno dobra i nije bilo baš toliko lagano."

Hrvatski košarkaši su pobjedom nad Turskom 84-71 u finalu pretkvalifikacijskog turnira igranog u Istanbulu zaključili prvo ljeto pod vodstvom izbornika Josipa Sesara i na taj način si i sljedeće ljeto pretvorili u radno, uz potencijalni nastup na Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu. 

"Imali smo sjajno ljeto, svi smo dobro kliknuli. Drago mi je što smo sami sebi dali priliku da ponovno imamo radno ljeto u kvalifikacijama za Olimpijske igre. Nadam se da će se ova atmosfera preliti i na kvalifikacije za Europsko prvenstvo te da ćemo svi zdravi dočekati ljeto i pokušati napraviti dobar posao", rekao je izbornik koji je u prvih devet službenih utakmica svog mandata ostvario devet pobjeda, od kojih samo jedna nije bila dvoznamenkastom razlikom.

U finalu su protiv domaće reprezentacije imali 19 koševa prednosti na poluvremenu.

"Što se same utakmice tiče, znali smo da će oni u jednom trenutku postati agresivni i na to smo pripremali igrače. Vratili su se na samo sedam razlike, međutim svaki put kad smo produžili napad došli smo do otvorenog šuta i do pogotka. Jako smo se dobro pripremili. Znali smo kako kojeg igrača treba braniti, a napadali smo točno tamo gdje imamo šansu. Sasvim smo zasluženo osvojili ovaj turnir", zaključio je Sesar.

Dario Šarić je cijeli turnir, a posebno finale, odigrao u skladu s novom, kapetanskom ulogom. Završio je dvoboj protiv Turaka s 22 koša i 11 skokova.

"Dobro smo ušli u utakmicu i stvorili prednost od 20 razlike. Nekad je to i teško iskontrolirati, svi bi mi voljeli da s 20 ode na 25, no približili su se na sedam razlike. I tu smo dobro odgovorili, zabili neke teške koševe. Treba imati malo sreće i eto – napokon ljeto za pamćenje. Nadam se da je ovo baza za novi početak, za iduću godinu, da se opet skupimo i pokušamo odigrati ovako dobro", izjavio je Šarić, a potom se odmah okrenuo i prema sljedećem ljetu:

"Što se tiče kvalifikacijskog turnira, ne znam kakva će nama biti situacija u klubovima, kad ćemo završiti. Bilo bi dobro da se okupimo i da imamo dovoljno dana za pripreme, da se prisjetimo što smo ovdje radili, da ponovno pogledamo te utakmice i adekvatno se pripremimo. Dobre su šanse, iako su ekipe koje će biti na tom turniru sada na Svjetskom prvenstvu. No, imamo mi talenta, imamo dobru energije. Samo da ostane ovako u idućoj godini i to je to.“

S takvom se ocjenom slaže i Mario Hezonja, također jedan od ključnih igrača ove reprezentacije.

"Nije toliko bitno kakvi su nam protivnici, bitno je da smo nakon ‘reseta‘ cijele reprezentacije napravili pravi stožer, da smo napravili pravu ekipu i da svi igramo jedan za drugoga i međusobno si pomažemo. To se na terenu vidi i kad igramo kao ekipa, utakmice su lagane. Naravno, Turska je puno bolja od drugih reprezentacija koje su bile ovdje, no ipak je bio isti slučaj, iako je Turska bila stvarno dobra i nije bilo baš toliko lagano."

Izbornik Sesar: Nadam se da će se ova atmosfera preliti i na kvalifikacije za Europsko prvenstvo

Hrvatski košarkaši su pobjedom nad Turskom 84-71 u finalu pretkvalifikacijskog turnira igranog u Istanbulu zaključili prvo ljeto pod vodstvom izbornika Josipa Sesara i na taj način si i sljedeće ljeto pretvorili u radno, uz potencijalni nastup na Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu. 

"Imali smo sjajno ljeto, svi smo dobro kliknuli. Drago mi je što smo sami sebi dali priliku da ponovno imamo radno ljeto u kvalifikacijama za Olimpijske igre. Nadam se da će se ova atmosfera preliti i na kvalifikacije za Europsko prvenstvo te da ćemo svi zdravi dočekati ljeto i pokušati napraviti dobar posao", rekao je izbornik koji je u prvih devet službenih utakmica svog mandata ostvario devet pobjeda, od kojih samo jedna nije bila dvoznamenkastom razlikom.

U finalu su protiv domaće reprezentacije imali 19 koševa prednosti na poluvremenu.

"Što se same utakmice tiče, znali smo da će oni u jednom trenutku postati agresivni i na to smo pripremali igrače. Vratili su se na samo sedam razlike, međutim svaki put kad smo produžili napad došli smo do otvorenog šuta i do pogotka. Jako smo se dobro pripremili. Znali smo kako kojeg igrača treba braniti, a napadali smo točno tamo gdje imamo šansu. Sasvim smo zasluženo osvojili ovaj turnir", zaključio je Sesar.

Dario Šarić je cijeli turnir, a posebno finale, odigrao u skladu s novom, kapetanskom ulogom. Završio je dvoboj protiv Turaka s 22 koša i 11 skokova.

"Dobro smo ušli u utakmicu i stvorili prednost od 20 razlike. Nekad je to i teško iskontrolirati, svi bi mi voljeli da s 20 ode na 25, no približili su se na sedam razlike. I tu smo dobro odgovorili, zabili neke teške koševe. Treba imati malo sreće i eto – napokon ljeto za pamćenje. Nadam se da je ovo baza za novi početak, za iduću godinu, da se opet skupimo i pokušamo odigrati ovako dobro", izjavio je Šarić, a potom se odmah okrenuo i prema sljedećem ljetu:
