Američki portal Theringer napravio je veliku priču o košarkašima s prostora bivše Jugoslavije. Ideja mu je bila razjasniti kako s tako malog prostora dolazi toliko dobrih košarkaša.

"To su male zemlje. Ako kombinirate stanovništvo bivših jugoslavenskih naroda, oni su još uvijek manji od Floride. Ipak, čini se da ne možete gledati NBA utakmicu a da ne vidite barem jednog igrača čije prezime završava s "ić".

Tu su Dragić, Nurkić, Šarić, Marjanović, više Bogdanovića i mnogi drugi. Igrači iz Srbije, Hrvatske, Bosne i Hercegovine i Crne Gore raspoređeni su diljem NBA lige. Sveukupno, 14 od trenutno 450 igrača lige je iz bivše Jugoslavije. A dvojica najpoznatijih su, naravno, aktualni dvostruki MVP Nikola Jokić, te Luka Dončić - Slovenac za kojeg su svi uvjereni da će brzo krenuti Jokićevim stopama kao sljedeći Balkanac koji će osvojiti NBA MVP naslov.

Američki novinar sletio je u Beograd, pa potom prošao Sarajevo, Zagreb i Ljubljanu kako bi dublje istražio zašto se košarkaški rađaju baš na Balkanu.

"Amerikanci najprije moraju shvatiti da se Jokić, Dončić i svi drugi veliki igrači nisu tek tako dogodili. Oni su samo ubrani s grana koje već sedam desetljeća daje fantastične plodove", objasnio je srpski novinar Miloš Jovanović.

Raspisao se američki novinar o "zlatnoj" jugoslavenskoj generaciji 70-tih godina, ali posebno je podvukao onu koja se stvarala u drugoj polovici 80-tih.

"Dražen Petrović, Toni Kukoč, Dino Rađa, Vlade Divac, Saša Danilović, Saša Đorđević i ostali. Čak šestorica su otišla u NBA od čega su četvorica u Kući slavnih."

"Ponosan sam što sam bio dio te momčadi, što sam bio dio procesa i dio nečega što je natjeralo Amerikance da promijene svoje razmišljanje o košarci koja se igra u Europi", ispričao mu je Dino Rađa u jednom od zagrebačkih kafića.

"Nažalost, država nam se raspala zbog rata i nije zabavno govoriti o tome. Niko tada nije znao ništa o ratu. Zamislite malu Srbiju i malu Hrvatsku, pa koga to još zanima? Imali smo odgovornost kroz košarku pokazati svijetu da se ovdje nešto događa, da postoji nova država Hrvatska i to je ovdje ljudima bilo baš jako bitno", nastavio je Rađa osvrnuvši se na finale koje je na Igrama u Barceloni ‘92. Hrvatska igrala protiv originalnog Dream Teama.

"Da smo ostali na okupu ne kažem da bismo pobijedili, ali utakmica bi bila daleko napetija. Siguran sam jedino u to da bi ta momčad bila najbolja u Europi svih vremena. Zauvijek. Ljudi bi odustajali od košarke, jer nas ne bi mogli dobiti", zaključio je Rađa.

Objašnjavao je novinar kroz tekst kako su na ovim prostorima ljudi visoki.

"Mi smo rođeni za košarku, visina nije jedini razlog za to, imamo i talenat", rekao je hrvatski as Bojan Bogdanović.

Novinar se na to nadovezao primjerom Nizozemske koja je prosječno druga najviša država na zemlji, a u NBA ligi nisu imali nikog od Rika Smitsa.

Na Balkanu i danas - nastavlja novinar - postoji i danas dosta političkih i kulturnih napetosti. Veliki je prostor posvetio ratu u Hrvatskoj i BiH, te posljedicama koje je raspad države ostavio na košarku. NBA dečki - ističe autor - daju sve od sebe kako bi istaknuli što im je zajedničko.

"Osjećam se povezan sa svima njima", kaže Ivica Zubac o ostalim NBA igračima iz regije. Zubac je Hrvat, rođen u Bosni i Hercegovini, a njegov osjećaj povezanosti proteže se cijelim poluotokom, ističe se u tekstu.

"Svi govorimo istim jezikom. Dolazimo iz sličnih sredina. Ti dečki te bolje razumiju nego dečki iz Amerike. Volim što imamo toliko igrača u ligi. Gotovo svake večeri tu je od suparnika netko tko dolazi iz tvog kraja."

Istaknuo je američki novinar da istovremena povezanost, ali i rivalstvo igrača s ovih prostora nadilazi pričanje istim jezikom, slušanje balkanske turbofolk glazbe, žudnju za okusom bureka ili ćevapa iz domovine. Radi se o, kako je zaključio Bojan Bogdanović, "onoj borbi koju imamo u sebi".

Američki novinar u SAD se vratio nešto pametniji. "Balkan je mali, ali tamošnji igrači ne nastaju nimalo slučajno. Oni su spoj velike tradicije, talenta i natjecateljskog karaktera..."

Američki portal Theringer napravio je veliku priču o košarkašima s prostora bivše Jugoslavije. Ideja mu je bila razjasniti kako s tako malog prostora dolazi toliko dobrih košarkaša.

"To su male zemlje. Ako kombinirate stanovništvo bivših jugoslavenskih naroda, oni su još uvijek manji od Floride. Ipak, čini se da ne možete gledati NBA utakmicu a da ne vidite barem jednog igrača čije prezime završava s "ić".

Tu su Dragić, Nurkić, Šarić, Marjanović, više Bogdanovića i mnogi drugi. Igrači iz Srbije, Hrvatske, Bosne i Hercegovine i Crne Gore raspoređeni su diljem NBA lige. Sveukupno, 14 od trenutno 450 igrača lige je iz bivše Jugoslavije. A dvojica najpoznatijih su, naravno, aktualni dvostruki MVP Nikola Jokić, te Luka Dončić - Slovenac za kojeg su svi uvjereni da će brzo krenuti Jokićevim stopama kao sljedeći Balkanac koji će osvojiti NBA MVP naslov.

Američki novinar sletio je u Beograd, pa potom prošao Sarajevo, Zagreb i Ljubljanu kako bi dublje istražio zašto se košarkaški rađaju baš na Balkanu.

"Amerikanci najprije moraju shvatiti da se Jokić, Dončić i svi drugi veliki igrači nisu tek tako dogodili. Oni su samo ubrani s grana koje već sedam desetljeća daje fantastične plodove", objasnio je srpski novinar Miloš Jovanović.

Raspisao se američki novinar o "zlatnoj" jugoslavenskoj generaciji 70-tih godina, ali posebno je podvukao onu koja se stvarala u drugoj polovici 80-tih.

"Dražen Petrović, Toni Kukoč, Dino Rađa, Vlade Divac, Saša Danilović, Saša Đorđević i ostali. Čak šestorica su otišla u NBA od čega su četvorica u Kući slavnih."

"Ponosan sam što sam bio dio te momčadi, što sam bio dio procesa i dio nečega što je natjeralo Amerikance da promijene svoje razmišljanje o košarci koja se igra u Europi", ispričao mu je Dino Rađa u jednom od zagrebačkih kafića.

"Nažalost, država nam se raspala zbog rata i nije zabavno govoriti o tome. Niko tada nije znao ništa o ratu. Zamislite malu Srbiju i malu Hrvatsku, pa koga to još zanima? Imali smo odgovornost kroz košarku pokazati svijetu da se ovdje nešto događa, da postoji nova država Hrvatska i to je ovdje ljudima bilo baš jako bitno", nastavio je Rađa osvrnuvši se na finale koje je na Igrama u Barceloni ‘92. Hrvatska igrala protiv originalnog Dream Teama.

"Da smo ostali na okupu ne kažem da bismo pobijedili, ali utakmica bi bila daleko napetija. Siguran sam jedino u to da bi ta momčad bila najbolja u Europi svih vremena. Zauvijek. Ljudi bi odustajali od košarke, jer nas ne bi mogli dobiti", zaključio je Rađa.

Objašnjavao je novinar kroz tekst kako su na ovim prostorima ljudi visoki.

"Mi smo rođeni za košarku, visina nije jedini razlog za to, imamo i talenat", rekao je hrvatski as Bojan Bogdanović.

Novinar se na to nadovezao primjerom Nizozemske koja je prosječno druga najviša država na zemlji, a u NBA ligi nisu imali nikog od Rika Smitsa.

Na Balkanu i danas - nastavlja novinar - postoji i danas dosta političkih i kulturnih napetosti. Veliki je prostor posvetio ratu u Hrvatskoj i BiH, te posljedicama koje je raspad države ostavio na košarku. NBA dečki - ističe autor - daju sve od sebe kako bi istaknuli što im je zajedničko.

"Osjećam se povezan sa svima njima", kaže Ivica Zubac o ostalim NBA igračima iz regije. Zubac je Hrvat, rođen u Bosni i Hercegovini, a njegov osjećaj povezanosti proteže se cijelim poluotokom, ističe se u tekstu.

"Svi govorimo istim jezikom. Dolazimo iz sličnih sredina. Ti dečki te bolje razumiju nego dečki iz Amerike. Volim što imamo toliko igrača u ligi. Gotovo svake večeri tu je od suparnika netko tko dolazi iz tvog kraja."

Istaknuo je američki novinar da istovremena povezanost, ali i rivalstvo igrača s ovih prostora nadilazi pričanje istim jezikom, slušanje balkanske turbofolk glazbe, žudnju za okusom bureka ili ćevapa iz domovine. Radi se o, kako je zaključio Bojan Bogdanović, "onoj borbi koju imamo u sebi".

Američki novinar u SAD se vratio nešto pametniji. "Balkan je mali, ali tamošnji igrači ne nastaju nimalo slučajno. Oni su spoj velike tradicije, talenta i natjecateljskog karaktera..."

Američki portal Theringer napravio je veliku priču o košarkašima s prostora bivše Jugoslavije. Ideja mu je bila razjasniti kako s tako malog prostora dolazi toliko dobrih košarkaša.
