Nogometaši Villarreala svjesni su “vruće atmosfere” koja će ih dočekati u četvrtak na Poljudu pa će protiv Hajduka istrčati oni koji se budu fizički najbolje osjećali, rekao je direktor Villarreala za odnose s institucijama Marcos Senna.

Hajduk će ugostiti Villarreal u uzvratnoj utakmici posljednjeg pretkola Konferencijske lige. Prošli tjedan je izgubio s 2-4 u Valenciji.

“Bili smo superiorni u toj utakmici, no nismo iskoristili priliku da praktički osiguramo prolazak dalje”, rekao je 46-godišnji Senna u razgovoru za Hinu.

Villarreal je već nakon prvog poluvremena vodio 4-1, ali je Hajduk pet minuta prije kraja utakmice zabio iz jedanaesterca gol koji mu daje nadu u preokret.

“Svjesni smo da ćemo izaći na stadion gdje će nas dočekati izuzetno vruća atmosfera. Igrači Hajduka će biti maksimalno angažirani da pred svojim navijačima preokrenu rezultat iz prve utakmice”, napominje Senna.

Taj bivši defenzivni vezni igrač, osvajač Europskog prvenstva sa Španjolskom godine 2006., također dolazi u Split u sklopu klupske delegacije.

Senna je od 2002. do 2013. godine odigrao 363 utakmice u žutom dresu Villarreala pa je četvrti po broju nastupa u povijesti kluba iz gradića Vila-real.

Villarrealov trener Unai Emery je u prvoj utakmici dao priliku brojnim rezervnim igračima jer je čuvao najbolje za prvenstvenu utakmicu protiv Atletico Madrida.

“Vjerujem da će Emery u uzvratu poslati na teren igrače koji se budu najbolje fizički osjećali”, kaže Senna koji je s kapetanskom vrpcom oko ruke predvodio Villarreal na gostovanju kod zagrebačkog Dinama godine 2010.

Dinamo je u toj prvoj utakmici grupne faze Europske lige bio slavio s 2-0 a Senna je u 74. minuti dobio crveni karton, prvi od kada je došao u Villarreal.

“Dinamo je tada ušao dobro u utakmicu, a mi nismo. Jednostavno je imao svoj dan”, rekao je Senna o susretu odigranom na Maksimiru prije dvanaest godina.

Pobjednik dvomeča između Hajduka i Villarreala izborit će nastup u grupnoj fazi Konferencijske lige, trećeg po jakosti europskog natjecanja pokrenutog prošle sezone.

“Žuta podmornica”, kako je nadimak klubu, torpedirala je u subotu Atletico s 2-0 u Madridu čime je nastavila pobjednički niz. Vikend ranije je pobijedila s 3-0 i Valladolid, također u gostima. Kada se uračunaju i prijateljske utakmice Villarreal je ljetos nanizao devet pobjeda i dva remija.

“Razlog ovog uspješnog početka sezone leži u odličnom radu tijekom priprema, a također i zato što su nam trener i brojni igrači ostali iz prethodne sezone”, kaže Senna.

Villarreal je prošle sezone stigao do polufinala prestižne Lige prvaka, a sezonu ranije je osvojio Europsku ligu.

“Tijekom te dvije sezone smo bili sazreli za igranje u Europi. Uspjeh smo, dakako, ostvarili i zbog sjajne ekipe koju imamo”, ističe.

Senna, koji je s Villarrealom osvojio europski Intertoto kup godine 2003. i 2004., smatra Konferencijsku ligu prilikom za osvajanje novog pehara.

“U tom natjecanju ćemo dati sve od sebe da stignemo što je moguće dalje. Uspijemo li ostati na razini na kakvoj smo igrali posljednje dvije sezone, vjerujem da smo jedni od favorita za njegovo osvajanje”, rekao je.

Villarreal, klub iz gradića s 50.500 stanovnika, bio je prošle sezone iscrpljen nastupom u Ligi prvaka gdje ga je u svibnju svladao Liverpool pa je u španjolskom prvenstvu zauzeo tek sedmo mjesto.

Ove sezone mu je cilj biti među četiri najbolja i tako opet izboriti nastup u Ligi prvaka. Unatoč furioznom startu, u kojem je trener Emery prvi put u karijeri svladao suparnika Diega Simeonea na klupi Atletica, klupski direktor je oprezan u najavi ostatka sezone.

“Smatram da je Villerreal sposoban završiti sezonu među šest najbolje plasiranih momčadi. A krene li nam dobro, ono baš istinski dobro, možda uspijemo stvoriti probleme i glavnim kandidatima za naslov (Real Madridu i Barceloni)”, zaključio je Senna.

Nogometaši Villarreala svjesni su “vruće atmosfere” koja će ih dočekati u četvrtak na Poljudu pa će protiv Hajduka istrčati oni koji se budu fizički najbolje osjećali, rekao je direktor Villarreala za odnose s institucijama Marcos Senna.

Hajduk će ugostiti Villarreal u uzvratnoj utakmici posljednjeg pretkola Konferencijske lige. Prošli tjedan je izgubio s 2-4 u Valenciji.

“Bili smo superiorni u toj utakmici, no nismo iskoristili priliku da praktički osiguramo prolazak dalje”, rekao je 46-godišnji Senna u razgovoru za Hinu.

Villarreal je već nakon prvog poluvremena vodio 4-1, ali je Hajduk pet minuta prije kraja utakmice zabio iz jedanaesterca gol koji mu daje nadu u preokret.

“Svjesni smo da ćemo izaći na stadion gdje će nas dočekati izuzetno vruća atmosfera. Igrači Hajduka će biti maksimalno angažirani da pred svojim navijačima preokrenu rezultat iz prve utakmice”, napominje Senna.

Taj bivši defenzivni vezni igrač, osvajač Europskog prvenstva sa Španjolskom godine 2006., također dolazi u Split u sklopu klupske delegacije.

Senna je od 2002. do 2013. godine odigrao 363 utakmice u žutom dresu Villarreala pa je četvrti po broju nastupa u povijesti kluba iz gradića Vila-real.

Villarrealov trener Unai Emery je u prvoj utakmici dao priliku brojnim rezervnim igračima jer je čuvao najbolje za prvenstvenu utakmicu protiv Atletico Madrida.

“Vjerujem da će Emery u uzvratu poslati na teren igrače koji se budu najbolje fizički osjećali”, kaže Senna koji je s kapetanskom vrpcom oko ruke predvodio Villarreal na gostovanju kod zagrebačkog Dinama godine 2010.

Dinamo je u toj prvoj utakmici grupne faze Europske lige bio slavio s 2-0 a Senna je u 74. minuti dobio crveni karton, prvi od kada je došao u Villarreal.

“Dinamo je tada ušao dobro u utakmicu, a mi nismo. Jednostavno je imao svoj dan”, rekao je Senna o susretu odigranom na Maksimiru prije dvanaest godina.

Pobjednik dvomeča između Hajduka i Villarreala izborit će nastup u grupnoj fazi Konferencijske lige, trećeg po jakosti europskog natjecanja pokrenutog prošle sezone.

“Žuta podmornica”, kako je nadimak klubu, torpedirala je u subotu Atletico s 2-0 u Madridu čime je nastavila pobjednički niz. Vikend ranije je pobijedila s 3-0 i Valladolid, također u gostima. Kada se uračunaju i prijateljske utakmice Villarreal je ljetos nanizao devet pobjeda i dva remija.

“Razlog ovog uspješnog početka sezone leži u odličnom radu tijekom priprema, a također i zato što su nam trener i brojni igrači ostali iz prethodne sezone”, kaže Senna.

Villarreal je prošle sezone stigao do polufinala prestižne Lige prvaka, a sezonu ranije je osvojio Europsku ligu.

“Tijekom te dvije sezone smo bili sazreli za igranje u Europi. Uspjeh smo, dakako, ostvarili i zbog sjajne ekipe koju imamo”, ističe.

Senna, koji je s Villarrealom osvojio europski Intertoto kup godine 2003. i 2004., smatra Konferencijsku ligu prilikom za osvajanje novog pehara.

“U tom natjecanju ćemo dati sve od sebe da stignemo što je moguće dalje. Uspijemo li ostati na razini na kakvoj smo igrali posljednje dvije sezone, vjerujem da smo jedni od favorita za njegovo osvajanje”, rekao je.

Villarreal, klub iz gradića s 50.500 stanovnika, bio je prošle sezone iscrpljen nastupom u Ligi prvaka gdje ga je u svibnju svladao Liverpool pa je u španjolskom prvenstvu zauzeo tek sedmo mjesto.

Ove sezone mu je cilj biti među četiri najbolja i tako opet izboriti nastup u Ligi prvaka. Unatoč furioznom startu, u kojem je trener Emery prvi put u karijeri svladao suparnika Diega Simeonea na klupi Atletica, klupski direktor je oprezan u najavi ostatka sezone.

“Smatram da je Villerreal sposoban završiti sezonu među šest najbolje plasiranih momčadi. A krene li nam dobro, ono baš istinski dobro, možda uspijemo stvoriti probleme i glavnim kandidatima za naslov (Real Madridu i Barceloni)”, zaključio je Senna.
