Dolazak Valdasa Dambrauskasa na klupu Hajduku za 'Slobodnu' je komentirao nekadašnji novinar bugarskog sportskog lista 'Meridien Match' Teodor Borisov.
- Ostao mi je u lijepom sjećanju kao trener, ali i kao čovjek. Zna što radi, ima svoju viziju nogometa. U Ludogorecu mu je krenulo baš dobro. Izbacio je Olympiakos u kvalifikacijama, igrali smo napadački, stisnuli smo Grke u sred Pireja! Zatim je došao Malmo i tu su krenuli problemi. Previše je rotirao i nismo uspjeli proći u Ligu prvaka. A to je u Ludogorecu postala obaveza. Ipak se radi o najboljoj momčadi u Bugarskoj u posljednjih desetak godina.
Borisov je bugarsko prvenstvo usporedio s HNL-om.
- Kada Ludogorec ne osvoji prvenstvo, to je kao da kod vas Dinamo ne bude prvak.
Kola su ubrzo krenula nizbrdo...
- Ozlijedilo se nekoliko igrača, on se zarazio koronavirusom. Nakon toga se dogodilo nekoliko slabijih rezultata. Presudio mu je poraz od Crvene Zvezde koja je tada bila u velikim problemima. Igrali smo zatvoreno. Kod nas su očekivanja također velika. Nažalost, u klubu nemaju mnogo strpljenja s trenerima, tako da je morao otići.
Bugarski kolega tvrdi da Dambrauskas gaji napadačku filozofiju nogometa.
- Mislim da je jako kvalitetan trener. Voli dinamičnu igru, želi se nadmetati. Zbog svega što je napravio, na mene je ostavio pozitivan dojam. Na kraju, smatram da nije on kriv za slabije rezultate nego prevelika očekivanja uprave Ludogoreca. Kod nas je postala katastrofa ako se ne plasiramo u Ligu prvaka.
Dambrauskas se tako opet spojio sa svojim sunarodnjakom Nikoličiusom.
- Nekako sam vjerovao da će se njih dvojica opet naći zajedno. Mislim da u tandemu mogu napraviti velike stvari u Hajduku. Izborit će Europu, siguran sam u to, a za dalje, sve je moguće. Samo mu treba dati vremena i povjerenja – zaključio je Borisov.

Dolazak Valdasa Dambrauskasa na klupu Hajduku za 'Slobodnu' je komentirao nekadašnji novinar bugarskog sportskog lista 'Meridien Match' Teodor Borisov.
- Ostao mi je u lijepom sjećanju kao trener, ali i kao čovjek. Zna što radi, ima svoju viziju nogometa. U Ludogorecu mu je krenulo baš dobro. Izbacio je Olympiakos u kvalifikacijama, igrali smo napadački, stisnuli smo Grke u sred Pireja! Zatim je došao Malmo i tu su krenuli problemi. Previše je rotirao i nismo uspjeli proći u Ligu prvaka. A to je u Ludogorecu postala obaveza. Ipak se radi o najboljoj momčadi u Bugarskoj u posljednjih desetak godina.
Borisov je bugarsko prvenstvo usporedio s HNL-om.
- Kada Ludogorec ne osvoji prvenstvo, to je kao da kod vas Dinamo ne bude prvak.
Kola su ubrzo krenula nizbrdo...
- Ozlijedilo se nekoliko igrača, on se zarazio koronavirusom. Nakon toga se dogodilo nekoliko slabijih rezultata. Presudio mu je poraz od Crvene Zvezde koja je tada bila u velikim problemima. Igrali smo zatvoreno. Kod nas su očekivanja također velika. Nažalost, u klubu nemaju mnogo strpljenja s trenerima, tako da je morao otići.
Bugarski kolega tvrdi da Dambrauskas gaji napadačku filozofiju nogometa.
- Mislim da je jako kvalitetan trener. Voli dinamičnu igru, želi se nadmetati. Zbog svega što je napravio, na mene je ostavio pozitivan dojam. Na kraju, smatram da nije on kriv za slabije rezultate nego prevelika očekivanja uprave Ludogoreca. Kod nas je postala katastrofa ako se ne plasiramo u Ligu prvaka.
Dambrauskas se tako opet spojio sa svojim sunarodnjakom Nikoličiusom.
- Nekako sam vjerovao da će se njih dvojica opet naći zajedno. Mislim da u tandemu mogu napraviti velike stvari u Hajduku. Izborit će Europu, siguran sam u to, a za dalje, sve je moguće. Samo mu treba dati vremena i povjerenja – zaključio je Borisov.
