Nogometni savez Nigerije želi u zeleni dres Super orlova obući rođenog Zagrepčanina. Čelnici tamošnjeg nogometnog saveza zapazili su 19-godišnjeg nogometaša B momčadi Osijeka Uwem Alexandera i napravili prve konkretne korake prema njegovom angažmanu, pišu Sportske novosti.

- Zvali su mog menadžera, raspitivali se kakva je situacija, oko papira... - otkriva mladi nogometaš Bijelo-plavih.

Majka mu je, inače, Zagrepčanka, ali je otac podrijetlom iz Nigerije što je ljudima iz nogometnog saveza te afričke države bio povod da ga kontaktiraju. Uwem Alexander, međutim, zasad ima drugačije planove oko svoje karijere, a odgovorom bi mogao razočarati Nigerijski nogometni savez.

- Još ništa mi nije došlo pismeno. Iskreno, osjećam se Hrvatom, Hrvatska je moja zemlja i želja mi je jednog dana igrati za Hrvatsku - veli 19-godišnji branič koji još nije pozivan u mlađe nacionalne vrste hrvatske reprezentacije.

Njegov nogometni napredak bio je koliko zanimljiv, toliko i brz. Pogotovo iz perspektive da je relativno kasno ušao u nogomet. Prethodno se bavio borilačkim sportom, a na prvim nogometnim treninzima bio je vratar!

- Krenuo sam malo kasnije u nogomet nego ostali. Dečki s kojima treniram počeli su već sa šest godina, a ja tek s 13. U početku sam čak bio vratar, branio sam u Dugom Selu prije nego što sam počeo igrati, a već s 15-16 sam trenirao sa seniorskom ekipom. Uslijedile su Sesvete u kojima sam igrao za juniore, ali znao i trenirati sa seniorima, a prošlo ljeto sam došao u Osijek - ukratko prepričava svoj nogometni put.

Nogomet nije bio njegov prvi izbor već taekwondo u kojem je došao do višeg crvenog pojasa, samo na korak do crnog.

- Kao dijete sam bio živahan, gledao akcijske filmove, obožavao Jackieja Chana, i zato sam odabrao taekwondo. Čak mi je i dobro išlo, nedostajao mi je pojas do crnog, ali kada sam shvatio kako više volim ostajati vani ispred zgrade igrati nogomet nego ići na taekwondo treninge odlučio sam se - otkriva 190 centimetara visoki branič.

U Osijek je došao u ljeto prošle godine, isprva u juniore, no već nekoliko mjeseci kasnije prebačen je u B momčad koja se natječe u Drugoj HNL i trenutno je, nakon dva odigrana kola, na diobi prvog mjesta. Odigrao je do sada 15 utakmica u drugoligaškoj konkurenciji.

- Najmlađa smo ekipa u ligi. Dobro nam dođe igranje Druge lige za razvoj, najbitnije nam je napraviti taj iskorak u seniorski nogomet - kaže.

Rezultatskog imperativa u B momčadi Bijelo-plavih nema, cilj je razvoj igrača, a njima je želja nametnuti se najjačoj momčadi.

- Trener Bjelica često nas dođe pogledati kada igramo domaće utakmice, više-manje nas sve zna, neki dečki iz B ekipe već su i bili na pripremama s najboljom momčadi tako da nas to sve motivira.

Uwem je stoper, ali u nedavnoj utakmici protiv Dinama igrao je desnog beka.

- S obzirom kako imaju brza krila, a ja sam dosta brz, trener je odlučio da zatvorim tu stranu. Volim više igrati stopera, ali za ekipu ću igrati što treba - veli.

Vjerojatno zbog godina provedenih u taekwondou prilično je agilan za svoju visinu, a te svoje fizičke prednosti želi nadograditi.

- Rekao bih da mi je visina i brzina prednost, ali želio bih poboljšati igru glavom, pogotovo u ofenzivnom dijelu - priznaje mladi nogometaš.

Nogometni savez Nigerije želi u zeleni dres Super orlova obući rođenog Zagrepčanina. Čelnici tamošnjeg nogometnog saveza zapazili su 19-godišnjeg nogometaša B momčadi Osijeka Uwem Alexandera i napravili prve konkretne korake prema njegovom angažmanu, pišu Sportske novosti.

- Zvali su mog menadžera, raspitivali se kakva je situacija, oko papira... - otkriva mladi nogometaš Bijelo-plavih.

Majka mu je, inače, Zagrepčanka, ali je otac podrijetlom iz Nigerije što je ljudima iz nogometnog saveza te afričke države bio povod da ga kontaktiraju. Uwem Alexander, međutim, zasad ima drugačije planove oko svoje karijere, a odgovorom bi mogao razočarati Nigerijski nogometni savez.

- Još ništa mi nije došlo pismeno. Iskreno, osjećam se Hrvatom, Hrvatska je moja zemlja i želja mi je jednog dana igrati za Hrvatsku - veli 19-godišnji branič koji još nije pozivan u mlađe nacionalne vrste hrvatske reprezentacije.

Njegov nogometni napredak bio je koliko zanimljiv, toliko i brz. Pogotovo iz perspektive da je relativno kasno ušao u nogomet. Prethodno se bavio borilačkim sportom, a na prvim nogometnim treninzima bio je vratar!

- Krenuo sam malo kasnije u nogomet nego ostali. Dečki s kojima treniram počeli su već sa šest godina, a ja tek s 13. U početku sam čak bio vratar, branio sam u Dugom Selu prije nego što sam počeo igrati, a već s 15-16 sam trenirao sa seniorskom ekipom. Uslijedile su Sesvete u kojima sam igrao za juniore, ali znao i trenirati sa seniorima, a prošlo ljeto sam došao u Osijek - ukratko prepričava svoj nogometni put.

Nogomet nije bio njegov prvi izbor već taekwondo u kojem je došao do višeg crvenog pojasa, samo na korak do crnog.

- Kao dijete sam bio živahan, gledao akcijske filmove, obožavao Jackieja Chana, i zato sam odabrao taekwondo. Čak mi je i dobro išlo, nedostajao mi je pojas do crnog, ali kada sam shvatio kako više volim ostajati vani ispred zgrade igrati nogomet nego ići na taekwondo treninge odlučio sam se - otkriva 190 centimetara visoki branič.

U Osijek je došao u ljeto prošle godine, isprva u juniore, no već nekoliko mjeseci kasnije prebačen je u B momčad koja se natječe u Drugoj HNL i trenutno je, nakon dva odigrana kola, na diobi prvog mjesta. Odigrao je do sada 15 utakmica u drugoligaškoj konkurenciji.

- Najmlađa smo ekipa u ligi. Dobro nam dođe igranje Druge lige za razvoj, najbitnije nam je napraviti taj iskorak u seniorski nogomet - kaže.

Rezultatskog imperativa u B momčadi Bijelo-plavih nema, cilj je razvoj igrača, a njima je želja nametnuti se najjačoj momčadi.

- Trener Bjelica često nas dođe pogledati kada igramo domaće utakmice, više-manje nas sve zna, neki dečki iz B ekipe već su i bili na pripremama s najboljom momčadi tako da nas to sve motivira.

Uwem je stoper, ali u nedavnoj utakmici protiv Dinama igrao je desnog beka.

- S obzirom kako imaju brza krila, a ja sam dosta brz, trener je odlučio da zatvorim tu stranu. Volim više igrati stopera, ali za ekipu ću igrati što treba - veli.

Vjerojatno zbog godina provedenih u taekwondou prilično je agilan za svoju visinu, a te svoje fizičke prednosti želi nadograditi.

- Rekao bih da mi je visina i brzina prednost, ali želio bih poboljšati igru glavom, pogotovo u ofenzivnom dijelu - priznaje mladi nogometaš.

Nogometni savez Nigerije želi u zeleni dres Super orlova obući rođenog Zagrepčanina. Čelnici tamošnjeg nogometnog saveza zapazili su 19-godišnjeg nogometaša B momčadi Osijeka Uwem Alexandera i napravili prve konkretne korake prema njegovom angažmanu, pišu Sportske novosti.

- Zvali su mog menadžera, raspitivali se kakva je situacija, oko papira... - otkriva mladi nogometaš Bijelo-plavih.

Majka mu je, inače, Zagrepčanka, ali je otac podrijetlom iz Nigerije što je ljudima iz nogometnog saveza te afričke države bio povod da ga kontaktiraju. Uwem Alexander, međutim, zasad ima drugačije planove oko svoje karijere, a odgovorom bi mogao razočarati Nigerijski nogometni savez.

- Još ništa mi nije došlo pismeno. Iskreno, osjećam se Hrvatom, Hrvatska je moja zemlja i želja...
